This place is awesome. I'm not admittedly a high LBS user, but I have come there now and then for tubes, seats, lube, etc. throughout the years, and they have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. Recently went in for some tubes and had some questions about e-bikes (have been doing way too much online research and test driving and haven't found the one I wanted) - ended up getting one from them on the spot and couldn't be happier! They made the process easy and had their full faith in their products. I'd always purchased bikes from craigslist before so this was a new and awesome experience for me. Since I biked over there, they even held on to my bike until I could pick it up, and gave it a light tune up while there. Really can't say enough good things. SloHi helped us fix a used e-bike after all DIY efforts to troubleshoot failed. They stepped through options over the phone in an attempt to avoid the BIG FIX (ordering a new motor). I found their advice to be sincere, and conscious of limiting our costs. Ultimately we did need a new motor, but at that point they had certainly earned our trust...and our business. Great service; I found my new bike shop in my new neighborhood! I took my bike in to get my wheel trued after backing into it with my truck. It was very close to the end of the days business hours, within 15 minutes. A couple staff members looked over my bike and informed me that the damage was minor enough I could continue to ride as is or have the wheel trued and disk brake fixed. So for today I'll save $50 and regain peace of mind that my bike is rideable, and when I do need service/parts I will trust this shop with my business. read more

Created an account just to share how great this shop is. I accidentally put a couple of bikes on hold at the farther of the 2 locations, so ended up visiting both shops late on a Friday and I could not have asked for better service or prices. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, and left extra stoked on what i got. They went above and beyond to help answer all my specific questions for a fun, safe ride with kid in tote. As a female, i felt totally comfortable and was happy to see a female working there. All the staff were super nice. I had considered ordering online, but SO glad I went to this shop, because not only does it feel good at the end of the day to support business of nice people, but their prices were the same as amazon and I learned a ton that I hadn't from my online research and years of cycling, and now I have a great place to return for future service. Also, I can't wait to visit the downtown shop again to go to their cafe next door to the Highlands location. What a rad shop! read more

I have been a biking aficionado (addict?) for almost 50 years now. It doesn't take long for an addicted rider to realize the enjoyment and gratification from their riding has a direct correlation to the skill and honesty of their bike shop. My long time bike shop went out of business and I desperately looked for a reputable and competent replacement. My search included asking friends whom I consider knowledgeable bike people & who have their own mechanical and bike sales backgrounds for recommendations. When the name SloHi bike co was repeatedly the number one recommendation I knew I was onto something. They told me SloHi had two locations and both were staffed with highly competent and honest people who would not steer me wrong. I am so relieved to have found a bike shop that competently does the work your bike needs without also suggesting work and parts it doesn't need. I ended up going to the shop on Colfax which is referred to as the City Park shop since it is located somewhat closer to where I live. The bike universe is not immune to the forces that appear to be almost universal today, where exploitation is the norm and good, honest, affordable service is the exception. SloHi has now worked on four of my bikes and they have them dialed in very sweetly. In bike vernacular that's as high a compliment as you can get. In instances where I have needed parts they have recommended good, solid and affordable parts that do the job quite well without zealously recommending parts that are seemingly astronomical in cost with no justification for the much higher cost as I have unfortunately experienced in the past with other shops. Thank you Josh, Bobby & the other great people at SloHi Bike Co who have at least made the biking component of my life a "no brain damage" zone. You are living up to the owners expectations which you told me boil down to "provide great service and quality work at an affordable price and we will all be successful." That's a policy every business should follow but unfortunately it's too often mere lip service instead of reality. Bikes and coffee, could it get any better? We came here to rent bikes for our engagement shoot (rather than use the old beat-up bikes we ride around the city everyday). The guys here are great, they gave me recommendations on what would look nice in photos. They even threw in an adorable basket to put on the front of my bike and didn't charge me extra for it. My fiance and I work weird hours and they worked around our schedule for returning the bikes, they let us drop it off at the coffee shop which opened much earlier than them. I brought in some straps ready to pay for SloHi Bikes to install on pedals with toe clips. The bike tech looked like he had never seen a pedal setup with straps and toe clips. After trying to feed the straps by hand through the pedal slots for a good 5 seconds, he said "not gonna happen" and sent me on my way. After leaving I was able to install the straps myself using pliers and spending more than 5 seconds of effort. I was a returning customer but won't be back after this lackluster effort. Response to owner: This was a review on the service (not pedal straps) received before the COVID hysteria. Don't blame your poor service and lack of effort on COVID. Bought a Demo bike from here that they no longer felt they could rent out due to Covid 19 (big win for me). I met with the owner Adam after calling the shop. He was very helpful in determining if the size of the demo was right for me. No pressure to buy, just good, useful information to help me decide what was best for me. He also offered a significant discount on the demo since it had been ridden a few times before. Since the purchase I have been back to the shop a couple of times for sizing adjustments, tweaks to the derailleur, (I dropped a truck bed cover on it and bent it) and general questions about the bike. Every time it has been free of charge and has been very helpful. Can't recommend this place enough. Such a great bike shop! We are new to Denver and this shop is going to be our new bike shop. Everyone was wearing masks and they have clear signage about their safety protocols, including how long you can expect your bike to be in for a flat tire or a tune up, posted right on their front window. Everyone had masks and one employee even went outside to talk with a guest who didn't have a mask. I just needed my pedals switched out and they serviced me right on the spot. I was in and out in 10 minutes with new pedals, they even let me look at the threads on my pedals and explained what they were doing so I could understand my bike better. He filled up my front tire before I left and it was slick. Super friendly, totally great service, definitely reasonable prices - 10/10 recommend! read more

I have known Adam and Mark for many years and I've followed them to this great little neighborhood shop. I'm a bike snob and a racer and they have always catered to my needs with great support. They are extremely knowledgeable and honest, if you are wanting to get something really not worth it they will help recommend a better alternative. They've gone out of their way to get me items that were not readily available through normal channels. I tend to not ride the most obvious brands but they still find ways to hook me up! This is a great little bike shop. Came in with a flat tire and they had me in and out with a new tube. Mostly sell high-end cruisers, electric bikes, and road machines but did a great job fixing up my bike at a great price. When I called in they told me 2 days for the tube and a tune, but when I came in they swapped out the tube in ten and I was on my way. Well, I cruised next door to grab a delicious cold brewed coffee and a snack, only to find a truffle brownie. At least my bike is fixed so I can work that off... Great little bike shop and adjacent coffee shop with nice people, lots of sunlight, and fantastic service. So nice to have these gems in the neighborhood. I'll be back for the tune.
