My tires exploded in my car because the tech overfilled my tires. Then, they tried to blame my tires instead of taking responsibility. Oh, and I have tubless tires, which means the liquid got all over my car. Next, they claimed they couldn't fix my squeaky brakes because I need a special type of brake pad. Just took them to another shop and they were able to swap them out. Lastly, their tune-ups literally take weeks to complete. How is that even possible?! Really cute store setup, but honestly, complete airheads fixing bikes who actually know nothing. I might as well try to fix my bike instead. Go somewhere else on Colfax to get bike repair services. You won't be disappointed!

While browsing the Lake Cycling website, I was directed, based on my zip code, to Tri Bella as a recommended retailer. When I arrived, the front door didn't open, so I had to use a side entrance, which led directly into the mechanic area. I stood there unsure if I should walk further in or wait. After a while, one of the mechanics (a tall guy) asked what I needed. I explained I was looking for wide road cycling shoes, and he suggested the Lake brand. I said that sounded great and asked if I could see some in person. He told me they didn't have any in stock but could order them. I explained that I preferred to try them on before purchasing especially since I could easily order them online myself, and the Lake website already provides detailed information. At that point, another mechanic, who had been listening to the conversation, chimed in and said, "Maybe Lake shoes are not for you." That comment, combined with the confusing entrance and overall unwelcoming experience, made for a very poor first impression. As someone who owns several bikes and is passionate about cycling, I expected a more helpful and professional approach. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning.

I decided to purchase my BMC from Tribella, though there was no pressure to buy from them. They built my bike quickly when the bike arrived, and completely fit the new bike for me based on the measurements. After riding new bike for 1,000 miles (2 months) it developed a creaking sound. I took it back to the shop and John and James looked at the bike immediately, no questions asked about payment. They fixed the bike for free and were mostly concerned about me getting back riding my bike! They have been a great resource for finding essential bike gear (computers, etc.). If you're looking for real, experience bike technicians who know their stuff, look no further than Tribella.

They told me to give them a couple of days on the design for the new bracelet for my approval. When I received their ideas, it was exactly what I wanted. A week later my bangle and my bracelet were shortened perfectly. Two weeks later my cross bracelet arrived. Unfortunately, I damaged the clasp the first week. The damage was completely due to MY misuse. Not their skill. (I am EXTREMELY HARD ON JEWELRY) We took it back in to be repaired. I just picked it up. They put on a heavy duty clasp at my request. I was definitely impressed with the guitar pedals that they keep in stock. Really appreciate the ability to check out some uncommon stuff that I have been interested in potentially adding to my pedal board. DING! DING! DING! We have a winner! I stopped by Bikes Together at 10th/Osage first because it's closest, where Katie was able to help me out with a seat post for this *incredibly* odd-sized tube for a vintage cruiser. They had only one in the whole bucket. Suggested donation was $5. She sent me off to try the other outpost of Bikes Together in Park Hill, where Sean was able to find a clamp that fit perfectly (only one like it in the entire bucket), then Josie helped me find the seat that was a perfect fit for me, even adjusting it along the way, and then even lengthening my handlebar stem for a better fit. What a great group~ we are so lucky to have them! I'm even signing up for classes they teach to fix your own bike. Bikes Together for the win! read more

Bikes Together is a great resource for the bicycling community in Denver. They will work on older bikes that some shops won't touch. They also offer hands-on learning experiences to fix your own bike, or a full 4-week bike mechanics course. I also love their selection of used parts; there is always something new and interesting to find, and it helps me finish my various bike refurb projects. Don't be fooled by the negative ratings on here. Yes the shop is busy sometimes and staff don't have time to help everyone. But check Google: 4.6 / 5 stars from 196 reviews! read more

They flat-out lied to me. I had a small problem and call and they said they could take a look at it and might be able to fix it on the spot. So I went there, and the mechanic said "we don't do anything same day." That's awful service. I'll never go back. read more

After a nice gentleman (not sure of his name) brought me upstairs to check my bike in, a fascinating yet extremely disappointing experience occurred. Maurice, the bike tech upstairs, was extremely annoyed from the second the other employee and I arrived upstairs, stating he was busy, 'so this better be quick.' He proceeded to exude annoyance, arrogance, and disdain at the fact a customer was there. Then Maurice, unprompted, started making fun of the fact my bike brand (Specialized). Every single moment of the conversation was just another jab or snide remark that I was there... in a bike shop... to drop my bike for a tune. I guess they don't like money? Then he said I had 5 minutes to tell him exactly what I needed before he had to go to a meeting. I just said I needed a tune. As he was clearly annoyed and rushing to collect my information, he was being so rude I told him nevermind, I'll just find another shop or come back another time they weren't so busy. He couldn't have gotten my bike down from the stand fast enough nor have been happier to have potential customer leave. Maurice, go touch grass. And for the shop owners, good luck staying in business with an employee like this. I'll be going to another shop despite you being a block from my house. Highly recommend AVOIDING this shop at all costs.
