With your purchase, you can also add on a birthday card for .75 cents which is way cheaper than dollar tree lol and saves you a trip. I was feeling a little peckish and asked my assistant to find a nearby spot for a snack. She suggested Dunkin' Donuts. (Now, that makes it sound like I was driving around with some poor person, firing off dumb questions all day. Fortunately, my assistant is a robot. I think... or at least I hope. I ask some really dumb questions.) Somehow, I missed Dunkin' entirely and pulled into the next parking lot to make a U-turn. That's when I spotted Touché Touchet. So, I skipped the doughnut--also, Dunkin', that's how you spell it, okay? Walking in, I was immediately impressed. The place is immaculately clean, bright, and inviting, with counters overflowing with gorgeous desserts. One employee was behind the counter, finishing up a cake order for another customer. While I waited, I took my time checking out their selection. They seem to specialize in cupcakes, but they also offer cannoli, cakes, cookies, brownies, and a variety of other treats. I decided on a chocolate raspberry cupcake and a cannoli. Now, if you know me, you know I don't go easy on a cannoli rating. These things are in my blood--literally. My doctor keeps insisting it's "cholesterol," but I know the truth. I ate the cannoli right there in my car (hence the lack of pictures--nobody wants to see my dashboard dining setup). Touché Touchet could use some comfortable seating, but it doesn't seem like that kind of spot. The cannoli itself was pretty good--the shell was crisp, with just a slight hint of sogginess, and it was generously filled. The filling was cheesy, sweet, and delicious, though a bit heavy on chocolate chips for my taste. I'm a purist--I prefer my cannoli unadulterated by excess chocolate. But overall? Solid. The cupcake, I brought home to share with my wife. It sat out for a couple of hours but still held up beautifully. In hindsight, I should have refrigerated it, as it was a tad dry by the time we ate it, but that's probably on me. The raspberry filling was phenomenal--bright, fruity, and flavorful--and the chocolate cake was rich and dark. Absolutely delicious. I ordered and paid for a 14inch square tres leches cake, but received a circle. Square costs more than a circle and a circle is more awkward to cut, but this cake might have been the best cake I've had in my life. It was $120. Pretty expensive but it was a hit at the party. It was moist and delicious, but not too rich that it would make you feel sick. There was a lot of super light and fluffy icing, two layers of cake, and just the right amount of cinnamon. It was so heavy. The packaging did mess up the presentation of the cake a bit. I ate left overs for at least 5 days and it still tasted just as good 5 days later. I was able to order this less than a week in advance. You can't cancel an order if it's within a week and you have to pick up your orders before 2 when the bakery closes. read more

Nice little bakery tucked away in a strip mall in Columbia. Our first visit today was great. We ordered croissants but they were out of what we wanted. The other options were fine. The ham and swiss croissant was a tasty and great value. My wife enjoyed her bacon and egg as well. I had a ginger snap cookie and it was great. If it was crispier it would have been perfect. The best part of the visit was the service. Others haven't had a good experience in this front but the young man working to today was friendly and willing to make sure our visit was great. What a great bakery. I wanted to buy cupckaes for work, and I wanted to pick them up on the way in. Touche Touchet bakery was open and near my office. I arrived 15m before their normal opening at 8a. They saw me waiting and opening the doors early. Charming bakery with French, New Orleans, influence. There are so many cupcakes, so many flavors. They had German chocolate, key lime, red velvet, lemon meringue, strawberry, chocolate, peanut butter, and so on. The variety was awesome. The cupcakes were very filling, and I am sure coffee consumption went up in that morning in the office. I think there are two locations. I went to the Elkridge location. I called the bakery a few weeks ahead of time to pick out my cake flavor, icing, and decoration, and was able to pay for it and schedule a pickup time. I bought a whole carrot cake (10") and it was beautiful and delicious. My guests were so impressed and they all asked where I got it. I proudly let them know I got it at Touche Touchet Bakery. Unfortunately, my event was in Philadelphia, so they can't get this carrot cake locally. I had to travel two hours with the cake and they had a packed it very professionally and gave me advice on keeping it in a cooler so the cream cheese icing would hold up. Sweets are typically not my thing but after comparison to other places I am so happy this is a local shop for me. (For reference I have been to Georgetown Cupcake, Sprinkles, etc) and usually I am like yum but never that excited about cupcakes. Their cupcakes are moist and not overly sweet. I like that unlike most instagrammable shops with the cupcakes sitting in the open that here the cups stay in controlled environment. The result is fresh and moist cupcakes. The added bonus for any Dunkin' fans, is that it is just a few doors down though they sell coffee here too. I was so excited to try this bakery! I have been looking for cupcakes in the area and with the dryness of crumb cupcakes nearby at Columbia Mall, I was not pleased. Yelp then led me to Touchet Touchet! It was uncrowned on a Saturday afternoon. We tried the chocolate peanut butter cupcake as well as the marble cupcake. The marble cupcake was delicious was swirls of vanilla and chocolate, and very moist cake with sugary/buttery chocolate and vanilla frosting on top! The flavors are very well-balanced and the cake was overall very good. The Peanut butter cupcake however was absolutely amazing! The chocolate cake had a surprise filling of chocolate fudge and the peanut butter frosting on top was thick with infused peanut butter flavor without being too sweet! At one point, this was my favorite bakery, until I actually walked in and got cupcakes out of the fridge. The first time I did it, the cupcakes were delicious and moist. The second time I did it, every single cupcake was dry. Of course, I live quite a bit away, so I didn't realize this until I was home (45 minutes away). For the amount you pay for the cupcakes, I was out quite a bit of money as the cupcakes weren't edible. The third time, the cupcakes were just ok. Now, when you actually order the cupcakes, they are delicious. I ordered some for Christmas gifts and they were a hit. I ordered some for some visiting friends and they found them to be amazing. My favorite is the german chocolate cupcakes. I also like the carrot cake, the red velvet (although the last two times I got them they tasted different and they were a brighter red, not the dark red I was used to), the cookies and cream, the strawberry (not a fan), and the peanut butter (which was ok). I ordered my husband a red velvet cake for his 30th birthday and it was sooooo good. I also ordered my daughter a cake for her 5th birthday party and I was so impressed with the taste and the design.
