He…read morestarted in the summer of 2025 and we wrapped up right at the end of the school year (6-7 years). We were lucky enough to have worked with Miss Ashley. She was exceptional to work with!!! When my son started he was a shy quiet boy with a limited vocabulary. Not very expressive. With the help of Miss Ashley he became talkative, expressive, silly and so much more. I truly believe she helped him come out of his shell and feel comfortable expressing himself. My son felt really comfortable and truly enjoyed going to each session. They are a great team to work with. I dealt directly with Miss Ashley for any cancellations or rescheduling. When we started in the summer I didn't get the time slot that I wanted because I had to commute from school. But by the time school started there was a time slot that was better for me. So don't let the time slots discourage you from a great team. On that note when we started we worked with Samantha and she was equally as great. We will miss Ashley. We are eternally grateful for all the work Ashley and Samantha did for my son!!!

When we first started here, my son was speech delayed and no one understood the few words he did say. Mrs. Teresa was able to target his problem areas and gave my son the tools he needed to communicate clearly and effectively. Mrs. Teresa is kind, gentle, patient, stern when needed, and truly invested in my son's growth and progress. They worked hard together during sessions, and she always rewarded my son with play time at the end which he appreciated. She always pushed and challenged him -- every session the improvement was undeniable. My son is a better speaker, a more confident communicator, and is able to focus and apply himself so much more now. I have a daughter at a different clinic who has now seen several different therapists, and I truly don't think with them all combined they could do what Mrs. Teresa does. She is an expert in the field and my son and I were truly blessed to work with her! Shout out to Miss Rosa who runs a tight ship! She truly keeps everything running smoothly, handles everything from scheduling to billing to whatever else falls on her lap, and she always does it with a welcoming and warm smile. We've worked with Brittney for about a year and a half, and she has been instrumental in helping my daughter gain the confidence and skills to work on her expression. The therapy is play based and she makes it fun! We consider her more than our therapist, but a friend. Cheryl is amazing as well. She is sweet and is great at getting shy kids to open up. Brittney Goodwin was our speech therapist. There are seriously no words to describe her dedication. She would text us and call us in between appointments to check in, asked about the overall health of our family, and wrote extensive emails and reports to assist in our transition to the school district once our daughter aged out of the regional center. Also, the office manager Marcy fought to keep our services when they were prematurely terminated because we moved. She did that completely on her own without us even having to ask. The best way I can describe this office: true patient advocates. This is an overdue review, but thank you for everything!

I noticed my son wasn't talking like his peers and even though he was still quite young, early intervention has made such a big difference for us and I owe it all to Grace. Flash forward two years later and my son can express himself and be understood. We used Grace in addition to Regional Services and I will say that it made a big difference for us to also use Grace and get more individualized attention. Grace really involves the parent in every session, teaching you simple strategies to incorporate in your day to day to promote speech and sounds. Every week, my son wanted to see Grace because of her gentle approach and the creative ways she used play for therapy. Grace is extremely knowledgable- She always explains the "why" and looks at the WHOLE child which I think is so important.

Melissa Ahamad, (SLPA) started working with my son when he was at 15 months old my son cannot say anything other than Mama and Papa. Fastforward to today, he is now 2years old and has over 80 words though not perfectly pronounced but still a big big improvement from how he was before. We started with sign languages then to minimal words. He hits himself when he cannot express his emotions, so when he started to use and understand the word NO, hitting was gone. It's such a relief. Kids express themselves better through language. At the end of each session, Melissa would give me recommendations for me to continue what she's doing with my son. Goals are set at each period and we try to meet them, e.g. follow steps, identify 5 objects, action words etc. At 2 years old, NLARC added another therapy for my son which is Child Development Services/ Infant Stimulation Therapy. Ernesto is my son's therapist for this service. He is also great! I have lots of questions regarding my son's behavior and development and he answers them patiently and explain everything to me, he even brought a book as reference for our topic. Their Supervisor Dara is also awesome! She evaluates my son's progress and works/plays with him well even though she's technically a stranger for him cos he has only seen him twice but she got my son to play with him unlike the other evaluator who would just stop trying just because he's shy. The office is so easy to contact, whenever I ask for paperwork they would easily send it to me! I love Optima Family Services, Keep it up! You help lots of kids and families.

This was all gathered from my first impression with Ms. Chan when the child of my close friend had their first visit. It wasn't until the follow-up visits that I saw the consistency in her care that I decided to write this review, cos when it comes to wellness you do not want to recommend the wrong people to others. A great plus is that the grandparent was able to come along for the next visit and understood what was going on with their grandchild cos Ms. Chan aside from English also speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and surprisingly Chiu Chow too! Aside from mental health, during my waits I noticed Ms. Chan also provides services for education as well, from advocacy to assessments. The visits so far have been great, my friend's child is in a comfort zone with Ms. Chan and is helping my friend better understand her child's case on hand. However it's not just toddlers or teens only, I've seen families and couples visit too!

At first, I was hesitant of the idea as it's often uncomfortable to tell a stranger your personal thoughts and feelings about your life, but all the uncertainty disappeared after my initial telehealth session with Dr. Chan. Dr. Chan was not only caring and knowledgeable, but she gave very thoughtful feedback and suggestions on how to implement little practices into my daily routines and tasks that were triggering my anxiety. With a very relaxed demeanor, our sessions felt more like a friend just being there for me through these hard times. The conversations just flowed naturally, and Dr. Chan remembered every little detail I mentioned as if she had known me a long time. With just a few sessions, I feel a lot more calm with her advice. I'm viewing the obstacles that life throws at us as opportunities to grow instead of fearing them. The idea of therapy sessions initially seemed scary, but I highly recommend anyone that had similar hesitations to meet with Dr. Chan, as I had a very uplifting and positive experience.

The HEAR Center knew exactly what to do and got me an appointment immediately. I saw Dr. Arroyo and she is fantastic. She was attentive to my needs and understood my concerns. She provided me with options for hearing devices and listened to what my preferences are. She recommended the perfect ones. Upon receiving my hearing devices, she saw me frequently after the delivery to adjust the devices. She made sure I was comfortable with my aids and informed me to call her anytime I needed help with them. She answered all my concerns and questions. Dr. Arroyo is a great audiologist, personable and also very professional. I highly recommend her and this office.

Gave them a chance because insurance covered it and they were open after work. After 2 sessions with our therapist Evelyn, he went from 0 to 100. His word bank and pronunciation grew so fast after a few months. Sadly COVID stopped in person sessions and we continued with online sessions. Evelyn was super friendly, patient, and always catered his sessions to the things he liked (cars and puzzles). I am so happy we had her. People told me it would not help but I am glad we did it. If insurance covers it, I totally recommend coming here!
