Super satisfied with Insight Glass. The estimator, Dave R., was highly knowledgeable and even suggested a couple of simple design changes that both increased the aesthetic look and saved money. The estimate included a full breakdown of each windows style/model/size/room unlike some estimates that just gave a lump sum. The delivery time was a few days less than the promised three weeks, and the delivery men showed up on time and even delivered the windows to the specific room. They still wanted to install the window that was missing a whole piece of glass that their driver damaged while unloading it from their truck. I had two window panels that had broken seals. I called insight glass as they were the original installers. Without hesitation, they ordered me new panels.. Within a couple of weeks, the replacements were in and they had a team come out and replace the panels. The panels were under warranty but I did have to pay for labor. I recently purchased a townhouse in Benicia which needs a major renovation as it was built in 1978. it needs a whole house window and external door replacement...not a small job! I called Insight GlaSS three times. each time the receptionist was friendly and put me through over two calls to the project director, Paul Greco. I left 2 voicemails and got no callback. I called again and was put through to a salesperson who did not answer the phone directly . I left another voicemail and also never received a callback. What a fool I am!! Too bad for this POS company. I gave the $42k contract to another fITK whicy called and came to quote immediately And was anxious to get the job. Forget this company Insight Glass. Updated review: There were some issues that came up, that we thought would be resolved. These included a screen manufactured incorrectly, bowing screens, and loose frame with bent nails sticking out of the frame. The guy that came to check on the frame was agitated and did nothing. After a few unreturned phone calls, we were finally able to get a hold of John to discuss the screens-where he then snapped halfway through the call and wanted me (the owner) to fix it. I first contacted Insight Glass to get them to give me a bid on glass for my home remodel project on October 18, 2018. First they sent out a person to survey the project - 10 days to get that appointment. The appointment was for 10 AM, Louie showed up in the afternoon, keeping me waiting for him. That was on a Thursday. On Monday I contacted Louie to ask when I could expect a bid. He got back to me on Wednesday to say it would be ready on Friday. The following week (it had been 3 weeks now since I first contacted them) my project was transferred to Lance. Lance started from scratch. He hadn't been to the site and he hadn't reviewed the notes or photographs and instead bothered me with numerous email asking about details that had already been covered with Louie further wasting my time. After leading me along all this time, and with me sending 19 emails during that time to now be here on November 28 (41 days) to get this: - " I spoke with the owner & we will not be able to move your heavy glass - He is an installer down for the next 1 1/2 months and doesn't want anyone to get hurt moving that glass close to 400 pounds. I'm sorry, but we rarely (if ever) move glass that heavy - We always try to break it up into smaller pieces." I am thinking that these guys cannot handle bigger jobs!! We had a window that wouldn't stay open and after having several handy folks look at it, we finally got smart, called our realtor who called the builder who directed us toward Insight Glass. I worked with Marc over the phone and he quickly identified that all that needed to be done was a replacement of a spring component in the window. We were given a time frame and lo and behold, they were on the early side of that time frame. It literally took 5 minutes and the window that has been "broken" for years works like new and cost only $85.00 to repair. I would use this company again in a heartbeat. read more

This is the second time we have used Insight and like the first everything went very smoothly. Called them to replace a large window pane which was hit by a golf ball and gave Ron the dimensions and had a call back a few days later to set up a date for installation. The glass was replaced quickly with a very cordial installer. The office sent me a confirmation invoice marked paid shortly after that. I would recommend them for glass replacement. read more

Very disappointed with the customer service and overcharge . I called to make An appointment to fix my door knob where it had fallen off due to wear and tear. I sent a pic so they can see the type of door it was. Spoke to a lady name Sue she gave me an estimate to fix the door with parts,she told me they would deduct what ever parts not needed for my service . The morning the tech came out I went to work. Before I left I placed ALL of the parts that fell off, next to the door. The tech did not use ANY of the parts and they charged me for ALL the parts plus labor. I called And spoke to Sue to ask why weren't the parts reusable. She could not answer me and the parts are still sitting by my door today. The company overcharged me and were very unprofessional. This place maybe OK if you don't need service. If you do, look out. They promised us they would service without additional charge whatever our $22,000 windows needed indefinitely. Fast forward a decade and (1) the maker of the windows is busted and (2) they only service free for one year. When I called the office at Insight, the staff was professoinal, helpful and enthusiastic. They took my information and got in touch with Tim, who call me right back, with details, costs, and some great suggestions.. Tim has been awesome, to work with. You don't always find this level or service, where people are willing to help you, especially on short notice. I will defnitely refer people I know to Insight. read more

I can't say anything about the quality of their work, only their customer service. So far I have left 2 voice mails, and sent 1 email just to get someone to talk to me about getting an estimate for patio doors and a window. If they have too much work, fine, let me know. It's been over a week now, so if they happen to call, I'll just tell them to forget it. I've read some other reviews, and there's just too many negatives about their customer service. I wouldn't trust anyone who takes this long just to call back, let alone do a job. read more

As this is a local business-I very much want them to succeed. This is about poor service follow up and their need to improve. I called and asked for an estimate to replace rollers for a 20 year old patio door. Someone did come out and looked at the bottom of our door and wrote down a few scribbles. The insight rep was polite and said he thought he might have the parts in the office but wasn't sure. He was in the house less than 5 minutes. I waited a week and finally had to call as to what might be happening? When I called, I was quoted $250 to replace the rollers ($6/ea on Amazon-more on this later). I asked the office to proceed-the office staff sounded surprised and said she would check into the availability and get back to me. Long story short-it took over two weeks to hear back-plus another call from me to find out the part wasn't avail. And they would have to look to get from somewhere-(outerspace?). Meanwhile, I looked on you tube and found out that the rollers are standard, $6/each via prime, and shipped to my door in 24 hours. So, the net is-Insight may mean well and I do believe this, but come on-you've lost all credibility as a service provider-and this is a very small town. Ive told this story many times on how owners can DIY and save hundreds. Hundreds I would have paid if they had just done it and not taken a month to drag their feet. Insight glass installed our beautiful windows 13 years ago. When I called to request some repairs on the cranks and screens recently, they efficiently came out to evaluate the windows, ordered the parts, and scheduled the repairs. While out for scheduled repairs, they noted that one of the glass doors they had installed 13 years ago did not close easily and proceeded to adjust every French and glass door in the house! I had a terrible time finding someone to help service my Anderson Windows, so I was thrilled when I found Insight Glass and they scheduled an appt to come fix my windows including failing glass, missing and broken Anderson window locks and cranks, and Anderson screens. The process since that initial meeting has been terrible. First, they ordered the wrong items...cranks in the wrong color and not enough of them for the windows in question. Is it really that hard to count? Then they never call you back when you call to inquire about the status of your order. Which, mind you, takes weeks on weeks. Now, I'm waiting yet again for my order since the first one wasn't placed correctly. This means all in all it's taking 3+ months to get some screens, cranks, and locks. We needed a custom shower glass for our master bath that we were remodeling, we live in Benicia and saw Insight glass. Stopped by and chatted with Lance, told what we had in mind he sent us a quote same day. VERY reasonable, the installers had to come to measure, and install. They were all very professional and arrived before the time agreed on, cleaned up and answered all questions. We also ordered a custom mirror, and a glass top for our patio table. All items were there when they said and only took 5 days from start to finish. We would highly recommend and will use them again. read more

We bought a new home that needed a full remodel which included windows. Our amazing contractor referred us to Jerry at Insight Glass so we bought all our windows from him. We spent close to $30k on new windows for our house. All windows were good. My contractor installed them all except for One of the windows which was a Nanna window and you need to have Nanna people install those for you. They came to our house four times to install this window because every time the installed it there was either a scratch on the glass or a manufacturing error. My husband and I were very patient and when they came to install the glass for the fourth time, the installer scratched the glass as he was installing it. The installer saw the scratch and told me he was going to his car to call his boss but instead he fled my house. I informed Nanna, Jerry and my contractor about what occurred. Jerry at Insight Glass did not respond to me at all and Nanna people told me that the installer saw no scratches. I invited both Jerry and the Nanna people to come to my home to look at the glass but was once again met by silence from Jerry. My contractor was outraged about this and he ordered a new glass that he will pay for to have it fixed. We are talking about a $96 piece of glass that Jerry refused to replace after we spent close to $30k with him. I have never been met with such unprofessional behavior ever before. I can not tell you enough what a bad experience this was. Please do yourself a favor and do not order anything from Jerry at Insight Glass. read more
