I am a frequent customer of Tous Les Jours. Having been to many of their locations on the east coast, it is satisfying knowing their pastries are delicious and consistent no matter the location. One of my favorite items is the milk bun, a quick treat to grab on the go. Only thing is that if I want this, I need to go early before they're gone! The green tea cream cake is another favorite. I have purchased this by the slice and a whole cake. It is the right amount of green tea flavoring, and is complemented well with the fresh cream in between each layer. Lastly, the tiramisu cake is another must try. It is light and not too sweet. I bought this as a birthday cake and I love that it comes with candles, along with matches on the inside of the knife handle! The staff at the Allston location are very friendly. Finally got a chance to check this place out, and I'm super glad I did! It's a perfect place to study for the afternoon and grab a bite to eat/drink. I absolutely love the umbrellas on the ceiling, it adds a nice touch to the place. They have a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts to choose from that I definitely need to go back to try out. I did try the earl gray latte, which was good, not too milky and still has a tea taste to it. There are only a couple spots with outlets, so if you need one check close to the door or by the pole next to the big table. The tables are a bit small, but if you need the space there's a big open table in the middle of the shop. read more

Tous Les Jours is a bakery specializing in yummy cakes, breads, pastries, and drinks. I absolutely love stopping by here to view the array of goodies they sell. They have a wondrous display of beautiful cakes, dainty macaroons, and individual cake slices. I've tried their mocha bread loaf (~$4), green tea bread loaf (~$6), and coffee bun (~$3). I don't remember the exact names for them, though! These can all be found in their pre-packaged section. The mocha one was my favorite!!! It consisted of a pre-sliced raisin bread loaf filled with sweet, light mocha cream. It was literally p e r f e c t i o n. Would 10/10 repurchase again. I couldn't find it during my second visit, so hopefully I can try it again someday. :- ) The green tea bread loaf was the same deal, but just larger in size and drier in texture!!! I loved its green tea filling but the bread itself wasn't enjoyable. I didn't think it was worth the price either. The coffee bun was a-ok, but I wouldn't repurchase it again. The filling didn't taste like much and there wasn't enough of it! I've also tried their individually-wrapped mochi. These can be found right at the cashier counter along with a bunch of other flavors. The red bean one was my favorite. So sweet and chewy with plenty of filling. :- ) The green tea one didn't taste like like much at all and wasn't very memorable. The space is very beautifully formatted to ensure a good amount of seating (they get filled up pretty quickly though). I love how beautifully decorated it is! The service here is quick and efficient. I LOVE this place. I would probably eat a terrible croissant off a dirty floor because I want to eat them at all costs. Well maybe not, that does sound gross out loud. But I am obsessed with them. Not only do they have chocolate covered, cream and strawberry stuffed croissants they have other pastries that have stolen my heart! If you cannot find something you want in this place then you might have a problem. The muffins, donuts and hot items.. I have tried them all and have yet to not like one thing! The cakes are completely adorable and would definitely consider them if I needed to buy something like that. I also like that it says baked daily on the back - I really hope that is true! I was eating across the street from this place and I wanted coffee so ended up here. Little did I know that they had some delicious baked goods, cakes for any occasion and plenty of pastries all were displayed nicely. This place from the outside doesn't say much but truly was surprised upon entering that it's a winner for sure. I only came for coffee and I regret not getting anything else but man I will be back to attack a few things that caught my attention. The coffee was very good and you can tell they take that serious as they do with everything else. My advice don't just come here full there is plenty of amazing things to get... For most of us in Boston, it's typically either Tous Les Jours or Paris Baguette who wins the vote. I've always been a fan of TLJ - their bread textures are a lot softer and flavors simpler but executed better. Ever since I spotted this Allston location was under construction, it has been under my radar - and I'm so glad it finally opened! My favorites include the Milk+ Bread, Cheese Bread, and the Soboro style bread. They also have a wider selection of drinks compared to their Burlington & Downtown Boston locations, and I tried the Green Grape Limeade during this visit. It was a great refreshing summer drink - not too sweet, and the grape slices add a nice touch! Their Green Tea Latte is also great, especially if you love it milkier. This location also has some seating that's suitable for larger groups. Drink service was fast as well. Great first impression - can't wait to be back! read more

Would not come back for cake orders. I made a reservation for a Christmas cake, a WEEK before Christmas. Apparently on the day that I was supposed to pick up the cake, they called me in the morning saying the cake was sold out. SOLD OUT???!!! But I made a reservation a week in advance. They obviously do not have a organized system of taking reservations and cannot count cakes whatsoever. Anyway they asked if I wanted a strawberry fresh cream cake instead, in which i said yes, assuming it's the classics white strawberry cake. I go to pick up my cake, they gave me a chocolate strawberry cake instead. Like they failed to say it was a chocolate cake on the phone???? So I asked them to switch to the white cake. They didn't even bother to write Happy Birthday on the cake, since that was supposed to be written on the original cake. They also didn't even bother to offer candles. ALSO I basically lost a dollar in value switching the cake. This cake should have been free since they fucked up. They didn't apologize for fucking up or offer anything to make it up. Another thing. I was charged TAX on the cake. There's not supposed to be tax on birthday cakes. I basically Wasted 42 bucks on a cake I didn't even want. read more

This is for upper management to read, and hopefully they fix it. Came for my usual Macaroon fix. Wife loves em. Took like 15 + matcha bubble drink. No gift - fine. But.. they're too lazy to unwrap our macaroons and simply threw them into a paper bag. No pretty box. I guess it's still okay until I began my bubble tea drink. The tapioca pearls or bobas were as hard as overgrilled chicken meat. I cook bobas at home frequently so this happened because they overdid reheating with the microwave. They could clearly tell me but no. They could have asked about the wrapping but I guess they didn't care. My wife may come back but every chance I can avoid or stop her, I will. YEA NO. I'm sure the Asian community rejoices in finding a lot of the treats they enjoy in their culture. And I say this with the utmost love for my daughter in law is Japanese-American a beautiful soul (yes its Korean and yes, Asian cultures, as us Hispanics, share common threads...). What I can't STAND about this place are the personalities and the price. I can afford their prices. Many of the affluent that stand in line in Louis Vittone can also. But its not for the everyday Joe and Joelle. I spent $25 for a slice of cake, a water bottle and a chance at trying Milk Bread (OMG ITS GOOD). The prices are outrageous. Croissants are not as good as pre-covid, nor are they as sultry as Pauls used to be. And that's another thing - Tous is NOT PAULS, which I miss severely. I miss their coffee happy hour prices (and their creamy coffee period), the WONDERFUL staff and the selection of pastries. Yeah, they charged an arm and a leg too. Back to Tous - some items are better than others (and I can't wait to bring my DIL for her take on what she has feasted on in Japan or out of her Aunts or moms kitchens...), but my goodness the staff is rough, rude and some just plain old stuck up. Service is SLOW, it takes forever to get their lackluster snow or a cup of coffee. Yes, Covid has impacted us all, but their is no reason to be so stuck up. Not even at the Natick Collection. Tiffanys isn't that stuck up! Come on people, lighten up. And yes, I will go back and spend college tuition on Milk Bread (until my chefy son is back for the winter break) and the CHOCOLATE cake, fluffy with the right amount of mousse and ganache. Never write reviews usually, but I had to this time. Pastries and cakes are good. But the cashier was awful. For a $114 order and no rush, she rolled her eyes at us when I kept repeating what I wanted from the cake display (because she couldn't hear and kept repeating back the wrong item) to buy a cake and macaroons for my dad's birthday. Honestly, I might as well just go somewhere else with that attitude. There are other bakeries in the area that provide better service. I've dropped by here for coffee and pastries during my food crawls in Allston and I have to say, this actually blew me away from the quality and price. The milk bun was a little dry on the outside but the filling was lightly sweetened milk and seemed to have vanilla bean thrown in as well. The coffee bun was shiny but definitely my favorite of the bunch as it was both bitter and sweet, much like real coffee. The berry donut was slightly disappointing as the glaze was solid by the time I got it. However, the matchapresso is definitely the star of the show as the espresso and matcha complement each other in terms of bitterness and sweetness perfectly. For all you Instagrammers out there, the drink is as visually appealing as it is tasty. Combine this with wifi and kpop blasting overhead in the simple, minimalist setup of the cafe and you have an ideal study spot. Definitely a place to visit in Allston for unique pastries and coffee. This place means well and executes what they do well also, The problem is the Korean/French concept & cuisine, which renders their pastry beautiful looking but in the case of their blueberry / strawberry tart for example... a magnificent cream covered confection on top of a leaden bread like base. I've been coming here a lot to study lately, and during the week it's pretty mellow and quiet but on weekends it can get a little noisier. I really like the atmosphere, and I don't listen to K-Pop but I can't lie some of the music they play is so fire, I have to pull out Shazam and find out what it is. I've been getting their milk tea latte lately and I don't know what it is about it but it's honestly some of the best milk tea that I've ever had. There's some flowery flavor in it that is super familiar but I just can't place my finger on it, chrysanthemum maybe? It's also been really fun to get a different pastry every time I come, something to break the monotony of studying. I've been a big fan of the honey toast, and the different croquettes so far. Beats studying at a Starbucks for sure. Everything is affordable and I'm definitely going to continue to come back and work through their menu to keep my studying interesting! read more

I was excited to try this place, because this place is walking distance from my apartment. I've been here 3 times and I tried to like this place, but it's not for me. I got a few sweet desserts and they were just alright. But my most recent trip, I got all savory things. When I want something salty, I want it to be salty. I got the garlic stick, shrimp croquette, ham & cheese pastry, and a sausage pastry. All of them were TOO sweet for me. I thought they would be salty, but the overall bread is too sweet. I tried really hard to enjoy it, but it just doesn't taste good. To me. I personally like Paris Baguette better. I do like the interior of this place. I love the hanging umbrellas and the desks. Have been to thus store many times until that day was the worst experience, the cashier just ring twice of the things I bought without even notice. I checked the check out screen and ask him, but he charged your card right away. Then he didn't know how to refund, and we wait for another guy to come out to try to refund us. For about 10 min waiting, he just standing without even explain to us the system is down and we have to wait for even longer. After all that issue, they never apologize and just leave us standing and helping other customers. And we told the guy he can just refund the money they over charged or refund us cash. He said, no, so we have to wait for the whole transaction to refund to us and charge us again for the entire purchase. I Would never come back and never recommend to anyone for these worse customer service they provide. Not even a sorry for things they did wrong and time we wasted! How many times did I walk past this place before I went in? Way too many. One day I was early for the train and thought I'd check it out and buy a coffee. I walked inside and instantly fell in love with the place. This is NOT your typical bakery. They have amazing foods like Croque Miseur and pastry wrapped sausages, beautiful cakes and desserts, and lots of different breads that I have never seen before like strawberry flavored bread that is pink! Not only that, but they have cool beverages as well. Their coffee and got cocoa are good but I got a lavender coffee for the heck of it last time I was there and it was surprisingly delicious. This place is quirky but so so good. Also, despite being gourmet and one of a kind, the pricing is really fair. 10/10 I love this place. read more

Tous Les Jours is probably one of my favorite bakeries in Boston. They provide the freshest pastries and cakes every day. It's located in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle of Allston. If I'm not busy, I enjoy doing some work here because they have such a cozy environment. It's also not as loud as Caffe Nero or any other coffee places nowadays. Also, I enjoy coming here because the people who work here are all so friendly! I have not encountered one single problem coming to Tous. Some of my favorite pastries are the pain au chocolat, the milk bread, the cream loaf bread, twist donut, and the croquette! The pain au chocolat has the perfect amount of layers of croissant with chocolate. It's also flaky and the top is glazed with sweet perfection. The milk bread is something I like to get if I'm feeling something not too sweet. It has such a soft texture and filled with a cream that is not overbearing. The cream loaf bread is something I would like to get if I feel something airy and decadent. It's pretty big, so I recommend to get this if you intend to share or to eat over the course of a few days. The twist donut is a classic sugar coated donut. It's different than American donuts because it has a mochi like texture. The croquette is the perfect snack to get if you want to be full but not too full. It's crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. It's best when it's hot, so eat it right when you get it! The cream cake is also one of my favorite cakes because it's perfectly airy and moist. It's also filled with fresh berries and does not feel like you're clogging your arteries. Overall, I just love the bakery because everything is delicious. I am so glad I randomly walked into this pastry shop. They serve Korean pastries/bread as well as hot/cold drinks such as tea and coffee. The entire cafe is so spacious. There are plenty of large tables perfect for catching up with friends or getting in some studying time. I bought the Green tea o-bread, red bean bread, milk bread, and a green tea strawberry latte. The latte was too sweet for me, I had to go home mix it with a lot of almond milk, I don't think I'll be purchasing it again. However, I recommend all pastries. I loved every one of them. The milk bread was very dense and soft. The filling tasted similar to lightly sweetened condensed milk. The red bean was my favorite because every bite consisted of actual red bean. The green tea one was infused and had red bean stuffing. It was good but I thought the green tea taste was not strong enough. I'd love to come back again and try their other pastries. read more
