Friendly and patient costumer service. Came with my daughter and let's say she takes her time choosing her macarons. The items we tried were delicious and fresh. The coffee was perfect. My daughter really enjoyed her hot chocolate. Definitely worth a try and will be back before heading home.

Went first thing in the morning and the options were great in terms of pastries!! The cakes in the glass case were more limited but they had roll cakes and this yummy yuzu cake! Nice service and good lighting to help the pastries shine.

I got to try their Tiramisu latte the other day and it tasted really nice, well balanced with the cold foam and the cocoa powder and the coffee itself is very nice! TLJ will always be the place for me to stay and get some comfort pastry and drink!

So we went a little crazy in this place, getting two boxes of assorted sweet breads, pastries, and other treats. I have an extreme sweet tooth, so my favorite things were the chocolate filled donuts, and the cream filled horns (I could be wrong and exactly what they were called, but that's what they looked like to me). My son absolutely loved the croissant and the croissant filled with a hotdog maybe? He thought that was awesome. Two of his favorite foods combined like he'd never experienced before. We spent a lot of money that day, but I don't think we touched the service on the variety of different treats offered and I'm sad that it's so far away from my home because it will be a while before I get to go back there.

The vibes in this cafe are the cutest! I felt like I was in a french version of 85 degrees. The pastries are about the same price as 85 degrees and Paris Baguette. The strawberry matcha latte was okay. The milk part felt like strawberry milk vs other drinks that use strawberry jams! The mango and blueberry cream donuts were delicious!! So perfectly fried and soft. Some donuts can be oily or dry and this was neither! Great spot to get pastries and catch up with friends during a rainy day

Great desserts. The strawberry croissant is a must. Simply DELICIOUS !!! It's a standout favorite among my friends. The croissant has a crunchy crust, a soft inside and delicious semi-sweet cream filling. Yummy.

This is slowly becoming my go-to comfort bakery! Almost every weekend I go there to try out some new baked good or pastry and I am surprised every time. Their mushroom onion cheese pastry is to die for. The taro cream bread is tasty too! The baristas are quite skilled and my beverages are always perfect. It can get a little too crowded on weekends but you can still find a spot to dine in. They also have outdoor seating. Last time, I tired Ube latte and it was just delicious. The purple swan latte art looked cool too. I highly recommend this spot.

Excellent variety of sweet and savory treats! You pull from cases yourself and pay at the register. Perfect to grab some pastries for breakfast or some sweet treats for dessert. Can't wait to come back and try more

After the flowers, the next on the list was a cake for my daughter's birthday party this evening. **Full Disclosure** We did not pre order a cake. But I was looking for a small confetti cake for the family. I walked in and the selection wasn't very good. I was thinking about getting some pastries but everything looked over the top. These items did not look Italian. Americanized Italian maybe but not authentic in my opinion. I did walk out without purchasing anything. Next stop, New Seasons. PS. I would recommend La Provence for authentic Italian and amazing croissants. **Edit-- I have been advised that this was not an Italian Bakery. I apologize for the error.**

I have never thought about lunch when going to Longbottom, but that changed yesterday. My Mother-in-Law had a chicken sandwich, as my Father-in-Law but my wife had a make your own sandwich that consisted of Pesto, Mozzarella, and Tomatoes. She loved it. The service was OK, but they asked for a tip before providing any. That's always off putting. Especially when I had to change out the coffee carafe to get my own cup of coffee. That said, the coffee was nothing special. It was cool to see the roasting facility through the glass in the dining area. Now let's talk about the breakfast. My husband had the eggs Benedict and it was OK. I ordered the West Coast Hash and eggs and it wasn't OK. My over medium eggs were microwave rubber. Moved like silly putty. The hash was 99% potatoes and microscopic squares of ham and chopped dried bacon. The meal was very unpleasant. The best part of the hash were the diced jalapeños. This place is a one and done for me.

I have been looking for a decent breakfast/brunch place close by but so far no luck there. I am still recovering from renal failure so my mobility is severely limited. I travel mostly at the pleasure of the Veterans Transportation Service or Trimet Lyft. Today's Dr appointment finished up sooner than expected so I had some time to kill before the van returned to take me home. So I fired up my tablet and took a look on Yelp to see if there was anything of interest close by. Enter Insomnia Coffee. Lots of positive reviews. Right around the corner. So... off I go. I an a US Navy brownwater sailor. We drink coffee that tastes like coffee. No additives. None. Not even cream or (gasp) sugar. So when I told the barista [HA! The person who pours coffee into a cup] that i wanted a cup of coffee black I got this sort of deer in the headlights look. What? ...I'm sure she was thinking... no Madagascar cinnamon? no foaming goop? no stale crouton crumbs? no pumpkin pie spice? Ummmm seriously? People want their coffee to taste like pumpkin? Yikes. No Miss... just a cuppa Joe. Just like my first heart throb, Anna Mae Bullock....strong and black. And I have to say, insomnia delivered. Not a bad cup of coffee at all. Although I didn't really want to hang out there since it appeared that I had zero in common with anyone I saw there... hogging the comfortable looking chairs. So I had it in a paper cup, to go. Now I have a "thing" about drinking coffee from a large, ceramic mug.... I loathe tasting paper in my coffee and yes I can tell it's in a paper cup even blindfolded. but I digress. They did have a whole display area of decadent looking pastries and not the tiny, overpriced, bogus looking stuff you see at Starbucks. Not that i would ever go into a Starbucks even to use the rest room. They had several pies that made my mouth water and some gooey breakfast glazed things that would have seriously spiked my glucose. so I reluctantly passed. Perhaps next time :)

Albeit the menu seems limited, you'll find options such as the Chocolate Croissant, (which is my favorite! Also, maybe I forgot to mention it, but this is a vegan coffee cake! On the savory side, I'd encourage you to try the Savory Biscuit with Egg and Sausage, or Bacon. This is for those indulging themselves in the moment with their loved ones, and not on a diet. Speaking of diet, if you'd like to enjoy of their carefully curated ambience, assortment of free board games or joining a friend for chess or knitting on a Monday, you could enjoy drip coffee for as low as $4 (!) or the delicious Fruit Sangria Tea - add honey for some decadence. Again, my favorite part, beyond the classic Aztec Mocha showered in cinnamon (not for health but because that enhances flavor in food!), that they're open at 6am sharp, the free blankets to keep you warm when sitting outside, or the fact that the barista knows me by name and spells my long name correctly (Baltazar), is that all this together show the amount of love both owners and employees put into each cup of coffee poured for us.
