Tous Les Jours is my all time favorite bakery and my go-to for any cakes. It's one of those places where you walk in and immediately start staring at pastries you didn't plan to buy, because everything is displayed so intentionally and looks photogenic. The pastries are mostly light and mildly sweet, which I personally enjoy because I'm not much of a heavy, sugar-bomb style baked goods. If you like delicate flavors, this place hits. The service is really good and the ambiance is cute. My favorite's are here: Macarons (Specifically the pistachio & rose), red bean bread, and all the pastries. We love this place!! EVERY sweet or savory bread we have tried, has been delicious! I have ordered a couple of the drinks and I wasn't a fan of any of them. I just stick to the food now but I'm never disappointed with food. They have plenty of options to choose from (see my photos) There are even whole cakes, sandwiches, and drinks. About the staff, I've never had any bad experiences with them. They're pretty chill and quick to ring everything up. :) There's some indoor tables and chairs and also some outside. First and foremost the staff was very nice and helpful and I've seen videos of others going to to Tous Les Jours so I was so excited. However, it was not worth the hype for us. After a long weekend, when I saw the shop I was hoping to have time to pop in as I'm nowhere close to one. This shop is smaller than the one I've seen in Beaverton but cute. As for the food and drinks. I saw a bit disappointed there were no snacks I could find that were gluten-free but the score is no affected by this as it often a long shot in any bakery. For myself, I got a butter pecan latte that tasted very much like a standard vanilla latte. I did get food stuffs for my partner as he has been on a donut kick. Therefore, I got a chocolate filled donut and chocolate dipped (and filled) croissant with almonds. He was not able to finish either. He stated both were soft and a great dough but the chocolate was extremely disappointing. I did have a taste of the croissant (and so much benadryl) and agree the pastry was lovely but the chocolate I can only liken to those cheap bitter chocolate one would get around the holidays. So we went a little crazy in this place, getting two boxes of assorted sweet breads, pastries, and other treats. I have an extreme sweet tooth, so my favorite things were the chocolate filled donuts, and the cream filled horns (I could be wrong and exactly what they were called, but that's what they looked like to me). My son absolutely loved the croissant and the croissant filled with a hotdog maybe? He thought that was awesome. Two of his favorite foods combined like he'd never experienced before. Fantastic Korean style bakery. We can always rely on at least two things: the kimchi croquettes and the blueberry yogurt cake. These two are some of our favorite bakery items from anywhere. Kimchi croquettes are a fascinating combination of savory, tart and crispy all rolled into one. The blueberry yogurt cake is our go-to birthday/celebratory cake, being so light, smooth and refreshing. That is high praise coming from a person who generally prefers moist and dense cakes catch as tres leches and tiramisu. This is slowly becoming my go-to comfort bakery! Almost every weekend I go there to try out some new baked good or pastry and I am surprised every time. Their mushroom onion cheese pastry is to die for. The taro cream bread is tasty too! The baristas are quite skilled and my beverages are always perfect. It can get a little too crowded on weekends but you can still find a spot to dine in. They also have outdoor seating. Last time, I tired Ube latte and it was just delicious. Most amazing and go to bakery in the neighborhood. We always get our birthday and anniversary cake fix from here. They boast of a wide selection of freshly baked croissants, macaroons, cakes, pastries, bread and much more. If you are in mood for something savory they have quite a savory spread as well. Rough time for a Grand Opening for sure! So when we saw the signs we stopped to support the new business! Very cute shop, with a variety of self-serve pastries and deserts. I especially liked their sanitary efforts - single use tongs for each customer that you turn in at the counter with your tray of goodies to be boxed. They had some beautiful desert options, but we were there for breakfast picks. We grabbed a chocolate croissant, reg croissant, 2 cinnamon pull-apart buns, and a black sesame sugar donut type pastry. The croissants were extremely light and flaky, very well baked. The cin buns were yummy, a pull-apart style without cinnamon overload. The donut ball...it was ok. Not really my taste and a bit doughy, but the hubby finished it off. The staff didn't seem very happy, pleasant but not extra friendly...but at this weird time we are in I can forgive that, esp trying to have a Grand Opening right now! TLDR: Get cream puffs here! Well, there go my plans to cut back on bread! I'm so excited to have a Tous Les Jours here at Orenco Station. Conveniently located where the Starbucks used to be on Cornell, it's close to the Max and close to Intel folks on their walk to work. They just opened this past weekend so I've yet to try everything but I have tried quite a few items so far (been here 3/3 days they've been open) and I'm happy to report that they meet expectations. They have a large selection of sweet and savory Korean style bakery items, some pre-wrapped while others are in the cases. You grab a tray and a pair of tongs to serve yourself. There is a hot case with croquette breads, warm ham and cheese pastries and my new favorite, the croque monsieur, which is filled with gooey cheese and ham. There is also a cold case with pre-made sandwiches and some great cream puffs (seriously, don't neglect these little bites of heaven). Near the checkout, there is a whole case dedicated to cakes - they have both slices and full cakes that are beautiful. I've yet to try a cake, but I'm guessing that they'll be good, based on how much I like the custard cream in their cream puffs! There is a drink menu if you need a cup of coffee or tea to go with your pastry. I've tried the mixed grain latte (caffeine free and tastes kind of like a hojicha latte) and the green tea (matcha latte). They come sweetened but not super sweet and you can ask for it with less sugar. The staff have all been super sweet and friendly. They're still working through some of the training for different cash register scenarios but overall they've been doing a great job. Prices are fair- they're a bit lower than Oyatsupan, my go-to Japanese bakery in Beaverton. I think the quality is better at Oyatsupan and some things are still better over there, but Tous Les Jour fills my needs for other items. I dare say I'll be here a lot! Some of the items I've tried so far: - Weiner croissant roles: 3/5 - Mini bulgogi sausage croissant roles: 5/5 - Cream puffs: 5/5 - Melon pan: 4/5, melon flavor is great but cookie part is a bit too crumbly. I like this flavor here but Oyatsupan nails the texture better - Chocolate chip custard stick: 5/5 - Croque Monsieur: 5/5, gotta eat it hot! - Red bean donut: 2/5, a little different. I am thankful for the addition of this little treasure in the Orenco area. I haven't tried it's Beaverton location but they are the same. There was a time my husband messed up the location during paid phone order. They let him pickup the order from Orenco when it was actually placed at Beaverton (obviously subject to availability). Hogging on calories only feels right when done right. You won't feel cheated with those extra calories after eating a slice of cake from this place. They have freshly baked bread, baked savories, drinks and dessert. They don't do custom I guess, however adding happy birthday on a chocolate or congratulations might be the most you can personalize it. Their tiramisu is my favorite so far but I am yet to try everything on the menu. Polite people on the other side of the counter and delicate pastries and delectable cakes is what I got from here. PS. It's crazy how the Yelp Elites of Oregon are knocking off stars because of the "elevated" price...like do they even know this chain of bakeries? It's a Korean bakery chain offering really tasty, unique pastries made with quality ingredients. Try finding these pastries elsewhere in Oregon. You can't. That's why this chain charges the prices they charge. It's hard enough finding Korean food places in Oregon and these Elites complain about the price. I have a huge sweet tooth so I try to stay away from desserts as much as I can. However my wife grew up in Korea and was super excited to try Tous Les Jours, so eventually I caved. Despite the hype she was giving it, it really did live up to expectations. I had their strawberry filled donut and she had one of their fresh croissant; both of which were amazing. The donut was fluffy and honestly overstuffed with strawberry jam. Usually I have the opposite problem when it comes to the ratio of filling to donut.
