This is in response to your 'form response' to my review, where I explained my experiences at this location because I couldn't get a response to any of my messages in an attempt to avoid writing a bad review. The fact that you responded in that way to a very detailed review asking me to email 'details' of my experience shows just how little this company cares. You just post these 'oh sorry we fell short' responses and never follow up. My review did explicitly detail the issues and frankly I have spent way too much of my time already trying to get a response to the disappointment in a shop I have spent a lot of money in! Let's face it, your pastries are not inexpensive. But that's not really the point, as I am never concerned with price if it is something I enjoy. The point is the all around disrespect and the total lack of customer service. I left, as I said, 3 messages, and no one felt compelled to reach out to address or apologize for ANY of the issues I detailed, from the smashed, ill-packaged pastry to the fact that not one employee in all the times I was in there spending money since that location opened ever mentioning a rewards program- ever. I went on January 5th to get a loaf of their cream bread. There were plenty to choose from. After getting it, I decided to look at the nutrition facts. I then noticed that the package said"best by Jan 6." I was a bit disappointed because for bread especially, it's best to eat it fresh and in a week or so. Now, I have to refrigerate it after a day to keep it from molding and it's not as good after refrigerating it. It's also a $7 loaf, which is kinda pricey. Maybe have a discounted section if the baked goods expire within a day or two. read more

The food has been going downhill lately. Burnt custard tarts and mini pizza that crumbles instead of being buttery flakey do not cut it. Same with sandwiches in the cold case being near or at date. I'm not much of a pastry person. However, while in Malaysia, I stumbled upon two pastries that I absolutely love. Coffee buns and cheese tarts. I've had plenty of coffee buns stateside since, but none compared to over there. Cheese tarts are harder to find and most are just okay. I stumbled upon this place while searching for something on Instacart. I saw that they had both and decided to give them a try. First, the coffee bun is HUGE! And fluffy. So very fluffy. And delicious. It is by far the best coffee bun I've had here. It tastes like coffee and not a barely there, hint of coffee flavor...it was full of flavor. Amazing! Been here many times and enjoy coming here to get pastries desserts. Had issues in the past where employees try to cram pastries into one container ruining the appearance of our food. But today, I came in to purchase a couple of sandwiches for lunch. One of them being an Egg salad sandwich, which I've had many times. Today, the egg was very salty. We've had the following 4 desserts; The Nutella cake, the blueberry yogurt cake, the strawberry cake and the dessert pictured that looks like a flaky fillo dough with fruit and cream, perhaps a Bavarian cream? The non cake pastry item was perhaps the best. The Nutella cake would have been better if you could actually taste the Nutella. There was way too little! But it was overall good. The strawberry cake was better in that you could taste some of the filling, but the Nutella cake would have been more my style. The only cake I didn't like was the blueberry yogurt. While you could taste the filling in this one, it just tasted too Americanized with all the salt in it. French desserts are generally less salty and less sweet than American desserts. Sometimes they're rich and dense, oftentimes they are light and airy. We had a hot and cold hazelnut latte. I recommend oat milk, or soy milk if you're watching carbs but not drinking dairy. They were out of soy that day. Almond milk always tastes like water in a latte, not just here, but anywhere. Everyone here is very nice, especially Tahira. She is such a sweetheart; so very kind and patient when I was trying to use my rewards but not sure what I was doing lol. She answered all my questions. Beautiful window displays of bakery fair. Caught our eye and we went in. I am a big fan of authentic ham & cheese croissants, which for some reason are hard to find in Portland. Many places just slice open a plain croissant and slap ham & cheese inside (and not always gruyère. Some of the less quality so-called bakeries use American cheese. Yuk! So I was very excited to find an authentic baked inside ham & cheese croissant. SADLY, when I got home and cut into it, as you can see by the photos, it was almost impossible to find the ham, and instead of baking the gruyère inside, which melts and marries the wonderful cheese into the dough, making it gooey deliciousness, they sprinkled it on top. I was between a 3 and 4 star after my first visit. Today made me realize it's probably more a 3, meaning it's okay, I may or may not come back. The pre-made, reheated egg and sausage brioche tasted processed, it lacked flavor and the bun was very oily. The line was long and moved at a snail's pace. But my biggest negative about Paris Baguette is there are no condiments! All those goodies and nothing to complement them. I rarely come across an eatery that doesn't offer condiments. Any of your Asian friends will tell you when we say "it's not too sweet," it's a compliment! I love love love Asian cakes for the delicate flavors that don't make you feel sick after eating it. I purchased the blueberry cake for my kid's birthday and it was delicious! They had the option of mixed berry, strawberry, blueberry, and two thanksgiving cakes. I was told the blueberry cake was the sweetest between blueberry and strawberry, but even then it wasn't too sweet. Price wise, a little pricier than Tou Le Jours, hmart, and 85 degree bakery, but probably the most delicious out of the previously mentioned options. I stopped in again, almost a year later apparently, and still not thrilled with the experience. This time I stopped by after lunch, the day after Christmas, and was greeted with several empty cases. There was staff around but they didn't appear to be busy getting new products out to fill the cases or even interacting with the customers looking at empty cases. The most interaction I received was at check out, with my few items that I was interested in selecting from the limited options. At this point, if they are open from 7am to 9pm, and I have been in at 7am hour and lunch hour, I am honestly not sure when to stop by to get the fullest selection of baked goods. I ordered three pastries (cheese, curry, and sticky bun) and an iced pumpkin latte. The girl working there wasn't very nice or helpful. I don't need anyone to be overly friendly, but at least do the job right. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. The drink was first made hot instead of iced, and when it was remade, the syrup I requested was left out. The pastries were placed in a greasy paper bag instead of a box, and when I opened it, I found a strand of hair on one of them. I ended up throwing everything away, which was disappointing, especially for $25. I was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend it. The location is convenient, though, which is a plus. read more

This morning I ordered pastries online and was a little overly excited, caffeinated, and/or hungry so I got a lot of pastryish breakfasty things with a plan for leftovers. I've been going over to the Westside of town a little more lately, so I have been trying new places every trip when I have some time. The latest adventure took me to Paris Baguette, and it did not disappoint. There are simply just too many delicious things to try! Pastries (savory & sweet), sandwiches, donuts, cakes & of course, coffee. For my first time, I tried the turkey avocado baguette sandwich, and it was delicious. The bread was so good and everything was fresh. They will warm up your sandwich if you like. For a treat, we got the coconut mochi donut, which was heavenly. It was very soft and had a good amount of coconut! The employees were friendly and I liked the ambiance of the place. It is a nice space with some big tables. Though I disappointed egg salad sandwiches l, it needs improvement, should use kewpie mayo and cucumber should be thinner, so it won't taste watery. Service a little bit sluggish as well. Nothing like a little bit of Paris in your mouth! I recommend getting a variety of everything. If you're a coffee fanatic, I suggest the coffee Danish! A bite of is like a shot of espresso! Next we have, the egg tart. I prefer the crust to be crunchy, however the crust was spongey. The egg tart gave me vanilla pudding vibes. The mini garlic croissants is not your traditional garlic bread. The flavor was more of a sweet, buttery, not too garlicy taste. Seriously would make you want to eat this garlic bread instead of making your own or buying some frozen ass fake bread from the supermarket. Not recommended: The tiramisu tart was very dry and tasted a little burnt. The cream cheese donut was way too chewy and was a bit tart. Chewiness reminded me of a bad mochi donut. The sticky milk buns were not so bad, but was dry and needed more moisture in the middle. Would've been nice to add the coating from the top of the bun into the middle. The pastries are my favourite part of Paris Baguette! Their croissants are seriously so good and I wish I could just have a dozen of their croissants sitting in my kitchen right now. I'm so sad there is no Paris Baguette location in Seattle, but at least I can come visit the Oregon location when visiting family! Their egg tarts are also not bad too, I like their attempt at a pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart). Their mochi doughnuts are okay as well, although I've definitely had better mochi doughnuts. Paris Baguette seems a lot more like a Japanese bakery than a French bakery in that a great deal of the items are prepackaged and are, well, Japanese (or Italian) and not French, but there are also fresh-baked items and masterful cakes that look like works of art! I went late in the afternoon, and most of the fresh-baked items were sold out. The signage isn't terribly conspicuous for how one selects and purchases items from the freshly-baked items bins, so here's how it works: Grab a tray, grab a piece of try liner paper and place it on the tray, and grab a clean pair of tongs. Remove your chosen items from the bins with your tongs, and place them on your paper-covered tray, and proceed to the front counter to pay. Easy once you find the signage, but this may save you a step. The quality of the items ranged from average to great, with some of the best being the pre-packaged items. Prices are reasonable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

I've been on a croissant kick lately and this is my favorite savory croissant that I've found. The thick cheese layer on top is crunchy and doesn't take away from the texture of the croissant overall. It's flavorful Gruyère and melts perfectly! The croissant also keeps well and tastes fresh after being heated up in the oven. I keep going back for this item, I haven't tried others so can't speak to the rest of the menu. read more

Ever since I heard Paris Baguette was coming to Cedar Hills Crossing, I've been patiently waiting for them to finally open. I recall my memories of eating their pastries in Korea and couldn't wait to experience it in Oregon on a weekly basis. They have a wide variety of food ranging from pastries (croissants, croquette, sandwiches) to desserts (cakes, macarons, roll cakes) and beverages too. I like their seating area as it's wide and spacious to allow large groups of people. The layout flows really well - you can walk in and immediately grab your pastries without needing to run into the seating area. I didn't get to see their entire selection but the biggest surprise was the crabmeat croquette. My sister raved about how good it was and how you can't find it at any other bakery. Their coffee was good but took awhile with the new workers. They seemed to have a greater cake selection and lots of packaged pastries if you're in a quick pinch. My favorite was their turkey sandwich as it was surprisingly fresh and delicious. I definitely want to come back and try more items in the morning while there's more selection. Overall, I think this is a perfect addition to the Cedar Hills Crossing and has a lot of potential as it ramps up. read more
