This is a very popular place and has been here for a long time. I've stopped in a few times when I am in the area since I know they will be consistently great. They are in an industrial area so I'm guessing a big chunk of their business comes from folks who work in that area. Lines can be long, mostly owing to these characters who love paying sky-high prices for a drink that tastes nothing like coffee. Me? I like mine black, no additives. If I wanted a frappe I'd go to Dairy Queen. Yes, I'm a Navy Vet and a coffee snob. if the person ahead of me in line wants more than a little cream in their coffee my head starts to hurt. More than five additives and have a defibrillator handy. Seating is limited and often not an option. You'll likely be sharing a bench with one or more afore-mentioned daisies sipping on some drink that took a half hour to concoct. I'd love it if they had a separate line and seating for normal folk who just want a coffee of the day. But it is what it is. read more

I have been dying to write this review because my experience contradicts most of these reviews and I am confused how it can be possible. The service was OK, but they asked for a tip before providing any. That's always off putting. Especially when I had to change out the coffee carafe to get my own cup of coffee. That said, the coffee was nothing special. It was cool to see the roasting facility through the glass in the dining area. Now let's talk about the breakfast. My husband had the eggs Benedict and it was OK. I ordered the West Coast Hash and eggs and it wasn't OK. My over medium eggs were microwave rubber. Moved like silly putty. The hash was 99% potatoes and microscopic squares of ham and chopped dried bacon. The meal was very unpleasant. The best part of the hash were the diced jalapeños. Very Industrial coffee house and roasting factory. The meat lovers omelette was really an egg wrap. Grab an egg pancake and throw meat mix with little cheese then toss some potatoes and white bread on the plate. Done. No cooking! A real omelette will be eggs in the pan and whilst cooking put the meat and gobs of cheese in. Fold over half and let the omelette finish cooking capturing inside the egg mixture in one item with cheese melting inside. The coffee is not impressive. Self serve from a push top brewed an hour or more ago? The Peruvian coffee had no flavor strength. Unless you order espresso drinks. Lots of tables and seats. Some high tops and outdoor picnic tables. No real character unless you enjoy industrial settings, in an industrial park. I think they get a large crowd during the week business hours where everyone has to be back at work in 30-40 minutes. Don't recommend. read more

I've been coming here on and off for a while now, and I'll admit it's a bit inconspicuous from the outside. Once you step in, though, it has a really nice, welcoming vibe. You're greeted by a café-style counter with a glass pastry case, and the space immediately feels warm and inviting. They have a solid menu and roast their own coffee, which is always a win. You can even see into the warehouse area where they store the coffee, which adds a cool behind-the-scenes touch. They serve breakfast and lunch until 2 p.m., then close for the day. We stopped in for a late brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito and the clubhouse sandwich on sourdough. I also got a dirty chai, which was seriously amazing rich, cozy, and perfectly balanced. There's a self-serve station for water and black coffee or tea with all the fixings, which I always appreciate. The food was fresh and thoughtfully done. I loved that the sandwich came with a salad instead of the usual side, and the clubhouse was hearty without feeling heavy. The breakfast burrito was fully loaded, with a generous amount of bacon and more than just a pile of eggs everything felt balanced and filling. Our new fave brunch spot! Tucked away in the business parks area in Hillsboro -- this place is so good and always PACKED, even on a weekday. Eliminating seed oils and cooking with EVOO was already enough of a pull for me, but the food and drinks and pastries are actually THAT good. The West Coast Hash 10000% lives up to the hype. It's easy to see why it's one of their top dishes, and is now currently my fave one. Coffee is great. My husband's breakfast sandwich was great. My cousin took us to his go-to coffee shop around 8:15am on a Saturday. I found it to be a charming storefront with simple decor and furniture. The place was busy when we arrived, but we were able to snag a table and get our food/drinks ordered before a huge rush of guests came in. Overall service was great. Staff members were friendly, and our orders were served directly to our table and came out in a timely manner. I appreciated their expansive menu, which included breakfast and lunch items. As much as I wouls prefer a warm breakfast, their pastry case was calling my name. I was feeling their seasonal baked goods, such as the pumpkin cookie and peppermint cookie, but I opted for a white chocolate cranberry macadamia cookie. Move over Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bar, Longbottom Coffeehouse's version of the cookie has met your flavor match. The texture of the cookie was nicely soft and buttery. I also got a matcha almond milk latte that I enjoyed very much. Loved that I could really get the matcha taste, which was balanced with sweetness. Longbottom Coffee isn't a place for vegans. You can get a coffee here with dairy alternatives, but that's about it. Today I got a peppermint mocha with soy. I asked what vegan food items they had. I was told I could get a hash without eggs or cheese. I couldn't even get a sandwich because the bread is made with egg. I know a couple people that aren't vegan but allergic to egg. If they ate a sandwich here and unaware that egg is in bread, they would end up getting sick. Longbottom is popular and there were a lot of people that were dining inside and out. I snagged a table in the back corner. There was a mix of chairs and I was happy that there was a padded chair where I sat. I took my Kindle to read. Because of the popularity of this coffee shop, the noise level was high. Loud kids at neighboring table. I think it's safe to say that I won't be back. read more

Todays visit was just okay. Unfortunately, our first encounter set a negative tone to our breakfast. We were waiting at a register for a few minutes watching around 5-6 young ladies standing about behind the counter, no one even acknowledging our presence. When one finally gave in and moved forward, she came across completely put out and somewhat depressed. No smile and no pleasantries to be found during the entire exchange. The food experience was better than the human one though. The food came out quite fast and was delivered to our table with at least a small grin, portions large & food hot and tasty. The dining area was pretty busy this morning and was extremely loud. Good food, good coffee, and quick delivery. They just need to work on customer service, or at least train employees to pretend they're happy to be there. :) read more

Love Longbottom coffee and their stellar barista (her mochas are outstanding). The food is excellent, way beyond and far better than the usual coffee shop fare. The thing we've noticed about the staff is they're still the same year after year--that tells you something about the management--and they work so fluidly together, stepping in to serve or run the register or just wrap to-go utensils, without any supervision. Is that a management dream or what? I'm not a vegetarian but still can't get past the veggie paninis or the veggie pesto flatbread or the garden vegetable omelette--each superb. The clam chowder is better than most chowders I've had at the coast. Longbottom is one of those places you're glad is hidden in an industrial area. It's hard to find parking but some of the cars belong to takeout drivers, so just wait. Outside seating consists of a few picnic tables but very little street traffic. Today we enjoyed a fantastic lunch and learn session at Longbottom in Hillsboro. The food was super yummy and what a great selection of items for breakfast and lunch. They offer tea, coffee, smoothies and energy drinks. I enjoyed the chicken salad croissant with a Caesar side salad and peach iced tea. My colleague enjoyed a veggie omelette with bacon and boy that thing was loaded with stuff. Best part is they serve breakfast all day! Stopped in here on our way to seaside based on the reviews and we were so happy we did. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the service was quick and everything was delicious. The restaurant is pretty big, which is great because it was packed the whole time (on a Wednesday morning). The coffee was super good and the food was so flavorful. Everything we had was great, and we would definitely go back if we were in the area again. I had to choose from the menu, then pay at the counter, and give me an order number display card to bring with to my table. It was very early in the morning so I had the whole place to myself. Customer service was very courteous and welcoming. My order took about 7 minutes. I ordered the Eggs Florentine (photo provided). It's 2 poached eggs on tomatoes, on English muffins, with potatoes bedside them. The serving size was pretty good size, and food was absolutely delicious. One of the best kept secrets. My wife and I go here at least 3 times a month for a good breakfast. Don't drive too fast because you will miss the place (hidden gem). I just love this place. I have had breakfast and lunch here. For breakfast I either get the French toast, breakfast burrito with bacon or a scramble bowl. For lunch I have gotten the clam chowder soup with a grilled cheese, so freaking good. The coffee options are amazing. So many to choose from and I try something new every time I go. They also have a free coffee station if you want a regular cup of Joe. Service is quite fast. The workers ar always nice, have never had a bad encounter. The ambiance is spacious seating with a patio for the nice summer days in Oregon. Very clean. I am telling you this place is a hit and everyone we take with us becomes fans of Longbottom. Tucked in an industrial area, this place offers a whole lot more than what the eye can initially see. It's a roastery. It's a coffee shop. It's a brunch place. It's a lunch place. It's morning pick-me-up! They have a variety of breakfast/brunch items at a really nice price point (for these days 2023). There's also lunch sandwiches and soup/salad. Coffee is what you should get if you're not hungry. They have special flavored coffees and also drip coffee available. I actually think they're drip coffee is better than the specialty espresso based coffee. There's at least 3-4 blends of drip coffee available to try at their self serve station. It is counter service here, so you walk up, order, pay and then find an empty table. On busy mornings you might be eating your food standing up! Staff here are all friendly folks who kept the place clean. I will say that it gets quite noisy inside, tables are kinda close together and not much sound proofing. Be prepared to talk loudly.
