I had to stop by this spot in Plymouth after hearing all the buzz. The last time I came across TOUS les JOURS was in San Diego, so I was surprised to see one here in Minnesota. They have a wide selection of pastries, both sweet and savory. We picked up an assortment that included a cream donut, garlic cheese bread, blueberry danish, kimchi-stuffed bread, mincemeat bread, mushroom flatbread, and a spinach pastry. Everything tasted pretty good, though on the pricier side. The service was friendly, and the inside of the bakery is clean and inviting. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. The food was enjoyable, but probably not worth the price for me. Still, it's definitely a spot worth checking out if you're curious or looking to try something different. read more

When you first walk in you are immersed in a sea of delicious baked goods! You can grab a tray and some tongs and pick out the ones you want. We tried a couple of danishes (savory and sweet, and one of the stuffed donuts. I really liked the spinach and feta danish! This is a great bakery; if I had any requests, I would love to see some eclairs! The refrigerator baked goods were a bit underwhelming, so I'd love to see more there! However, this is a great new local bakery, glad to see it here! read more

I am on the hunt for a go to pastry spot closer to me, and I think I might just have found the one! This place has a large array of pastries to select from, all are super fresh! I picked up quite a few pastries at 5 PM during the weekday, and they all tasted quite fresh and soft, I even enjoyed one the following morning, and it was still quite good! The matcha's are nice however there are other places with better Matcha. The tiramisu Matcha did not taste like tiramisu at all, however, it did taste good. I liked the strawberry Matcha, however, I wish they used actual strawberries in the mix. They use a strawberry syrup in substitute of fresh crushed strawberries. The service is great, and there is plenty of seating. I can't wait to pick up a cake for the next celebration, because they all look so good! read more

Whoa, was blown away by this little shop, had no idea what it would be like going in there, but it was so good! Tons of French pastries, cold or hot. It's self select, you grab a tray and pair of tongs and pick whatever you'd like! I devoured a croissant and chocolate pastry so quickly I forgot to take a pic! The croissants was buttery and flaky, so good! They also make coffees, and this iced mocha was delicious! The service was great, and they have a fine dinning area to enjoy your meal, plenty of tables and chairs. I will definitely be bringing my pastry loving daughters here soon! read more

There's a lot of great at TLJ. From the variety of Asian-European pastries to their decadent assortment of cakes, breads, teas, and lattes, you can be assured that your first few visits will be an absolute delight filled with surprisingly delicious flavors. One of my favorite pastries is their Sweet Frank Roll - a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors. However, you can try everything on your first (or couple of) visits and afterwards, unless you're coming back for a specific item(s), there won't be much of a surprise factor. I wish their menu offered new items, such as breakfast sandwiches or seasonal options. Unless you specify otherwise, my warm pastry selections are often unheated. I'm also not too fond of the wait times I've experienced during their busiest times. Understandably, some wait time is expected since all drinks are made to order. However, sometimes there's only one person making drinks, and at times, the barista is also the cashier, so a drink could be over a 5-minute wait, which I'm never too thrilled about. Comparable to other local coffee shops, the price point of TLJ drinks is significantly more affordable; however, the wait time can easily deter me from making it a pit stop unless I have the extra time to wait. Don't get me wrong, the aesthetics and ambiance of TLJ are such a morning vibe! There's plenty of seating, the pastries are displayed beautifully behind clear bakery display cases, and all the necessary trays and tongs are available for use. The surrounding food areas are maintained impeccably clean; it's an adorable bakery. I appreciate the warmth and friendliness of the employees. I recommend a visit to Tous Les Jours to everyone. The 3 stars isn't for the quality of food, but due to some of the kinks mentioned, which I chalk up to (still) being a relatively new bakery and figuring out their rhythm. Korean-French bakery on the cusp of Richfield and Edina. I popped in on a Tuesday morning and was blown away by the vast display of various pastries, donuts, cakes, and macaroons. It was a clean aesthetic inside with food trays to allow convenience of picking out your own bakery items that were behind plexiglass doors. Each product has their own tongs and bakery bags available if you did not want to use a tray (10/10 rating for hygiene). Everything had clear signage, showcasing Ube cloud bread, raspberry custard danish, and even their savory warm danishes that had various meats. I ordered a six pack of their Macarons and love that I got to choose my own flavors (Earl Grey, salted caramel, vanilla, pistachio, raspberry, and cookies and cream). I was most surprised by how much I enjoyed the Earl Grey macaron because it was earthy with just a touch of sweetness. My favorite thing about all of the macaroons was their consistency, texture and taste. This will become the place that I get my macarons,ongoing. I also picked up one of their vanilla cloud doughnut, and I was not prepared for how pillowy that was going to be for a doughnut. Service was great. Everyone was kind. Presentation was stunning. Be forewarned if you are looking for a full size location you'll need to go to Maple Grove. This location is a Tous Les Jours Cafe. It's about half the size of a normal location. Still the same cute aesthetics as the other locations. Luckily my son's favorite item was available. We will be back here often since it's so close to home. Customer service was friendly. I recommend this location if you don't want the hustle and bustle of other locations. read more

The bakery was a bit tricky for me to find the first time, but well worth it when I did. Turn right IMMEDIATELY off Rockford Road (to the right of a gas station) and go into the little shopping center that parallels Rockford Road. I hadn't been into a Tous Les Jours before, but the staff was eager to please and told me what to do (signs will also tell you). Pick up a tray and tongs; put waxed paper on the tray. Choose your items from their tasty displays. Bring your tray up to the counter, where you'll pay and may also order drinks. If your order is to go, they'll package it up for you. I was excited to try this bakery as I'd heard good things about it. I was very disappointed. The sesame donut I had was raw dough in the middle. The ube filled donut and the chocolate filled donut were decent, but neither had a lot of flavor. The strawberry croissant was soggy and the strawberries tasted frozen. The honey lavender matcha had a grainy/gritty texture and the honey was just sitting at the bottom of the cup. read more

Heard good things on Tik tok so I was excited to try. The inside is so cute and the items/displays are so wonderfully crafted. Whoever makes these does a great job. I got the strawberry croissant and it was so fresh and the strawberries were sweet and flavorful. The garlic cream cheese bread is savory and decadent! I liked that it was cut in a way where you could break it apart. Lastly, the strawberry frappe made with soy milk, which did fall a bit short simply because everything else was so good. I was excited to try what I hoped was a true French bakery. Unfortunately it was more like a low end grocery store bakery in a nicer environment. I had questions about a specific cake and both employees said 'I don't know I've never tried it' and directed me to the 'book' in front of the counter (again, like a grocery store bakery). The cake I purchased (earl grey cloud) was beautiful, with quality packaging that made it seem special, but the cake was only okay, with waxy icing and dry cake. Stopped at this newly opened French Cafe. Had the almond croissant, which was the flakiest, best tasting croissant I've ever had. They also offer savory breakfast items but few doughnuts, if that's what you're looking for.... since it's a French Cafe. Good strong coffee, plus lattes and tea available. I was very excited to try the new French bakery. The clean, new and well lit, but a bit noisy for only about seven other people chatting (poor acoustics in an open, square space?). I ordered a plain croissant and an espresso. The croissant was good and the other pastries and food looked tasty but service was sub-par. I ordered a simple espresso, but they took other orders before even starting it, and then the espresso sat at the machine after brewing. A simple espresso took well over 5 minutes even though they weren't preparing other drinks or food. And the espresso was served in a full-sized disposable paper cup even though they have reusable and washable trays and tongs for each customer. Espresso should always be served in a ceramic or glass espresso cup. I don't expect anything other than paper cups at the mainstream coffee joints, but Tous Les Jours appears to be trying to be a step above. I am reserving judgment until my next visit and will revisit and update this post. read more
