Probably the best bakery in the state. I was recommended to visit this place by the nearby boutique owners, clearly it is a local favorite. I'm not exaggerating. This place was PACKED on a Saturday morning, but wow do they crank out that lineup of people. The have great staff that know how to make their customers happy. I ordered a DELICIOUS almond chocolate croissant. This was quite possibly the most delicious croissant I've ever tasted. Super flakey and crispy outside and perfectly soft inside with the chocolate. I also got a vanilla latte. Super good and made quite speedy. My total price was around $10 which I thought was reasonable! Next time I'm in town, I will be making this a MUST stop.

Such an amazing place! Their breads, pastries and sandwiches are amazing! Highly recommend their soup as well for a cold winter day! I have not had any of the coffee before but if you are looking for a great sandwich for lunch highly recommend this place! Everyone here are so kind and patient. It is a smaller place so be aware that it can get busy during peak hours but plenty of places to sit!

Sausage breakfast sandwich was superb. Light croissant, Fluffy egg, and spicy aioli to top. Compliment with a Miel and your morning is made. Enjoy!

I spontaneously stopped by to get an iced latte after a 5K - it was delicious! For iced drinks they only do 16oz but for hot drinks they do 8, 12 or 16oz. My friend got the breakfast sandwich - the egg in the sandwich looked and tasted a bit artificial. Service was great and the baristas were very nice! Overall rating: 10/10

Quiche (flavor of the day was chorizo + potato) and a side salad.

Red Bench Bakery is a 10/10. I had their quiche and a chocolate croissant. Everything was so yummy, and I look forward to enjoying brunch there again sometime!

Great Euro style bakery in quaint downtown Excelsior. Sit outdoors on the sunny deck and enjoy a french style croissant with their own brew of coffee. I took home a loaf of Garlic Asiago bread which is the perfect artisan bread,(at an artisan price), with harder crust and soft insides. Browned crust and tasty to go with morning coffee and Minnesota cheese, or Wisconsin if you prefer.

I had the grapefruit and loved its bright citrus to balance the wintery outdoors. Also, The cornetto French Toast is out of this world with the "bread" component being a butter croissant prepared just as a traditional French toast and topped with fresh berries and cream. (Just thinking about it is making me drool) Delicious and missing "something": the Sicilian baked omelette pie was savory with burst of freshness from the tomatoes but lacked in flavor. I found myself wanting a little more pecorino to give it the salt it was missing. Overall, service was kind and attentive without being overbearing. The vibe is tranquil with the lush velvet accents and warm design choices.

Our table wasn't ready for us so we sat at the bar and waited. It was interesting because I noticed a table open the whole time we waited at the bar and when it was finally time to seat us 15 minutes after our reservation time, they sat us at the table that had been open that whole time. After we were seated our server came over a few moments later and took our drink order, off to a great start - or so we thought. We proceeded to wait a while for a drinks to arrive and after 10-15 minutes we received them, although one of our drinks was incorrect. We placed our order to share and then waited again for a long time for our food. They brought complimentary bread, olive oil, and balsamic to the table for us to enjoy which was a nice touch, especially since we had to wait so long for our food. The two pasta dishes were yummy with the noodles being a very crisp al dente. The burrata was delicious with the perfect amount of salt and tomatoes. They could add a few more bread crisps to the dish for the price we're paying though. The pizza unfortunately was our least favorite. There was WAY too much semolina flour to the point of it being too granular and we only ate the toppings off the pizza and ditched the crust. We ended our meal by having to go to the bar and speak to whom I assume was the manager, though I didn't catch a name or title - to ask to order dessert and for our check because our server was again MIA. As soon as I did that and got back to our table, our waitress came back and apologized. She told us she was polishing glasses (insert confusion on our faces). We ordered dessert with her since she said it was lost in translation from the bar. We got our dessert and our check and called it a night. I'd like to give it another try maybe later this summer with the hopes for speedier and more attentive service.

If you want to come here even relatively close to peak hours, I would highly recommend a reservation. My personal favorites here include the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and the Minute Chicken. I've gotten both items multiple times and they are consistently great. Do yourself a favor and get the Dessert Flight; the portions are more than fair for the price and the Banana Cream Pie is to die for. We recently did brunch at Hazelwood for the first time. The Monkey Bread is a generous size with a crispy outside and gooey center - exactly how you would want it to be. The Smoked Gouda Hash browns are worth getting on the side with any item that doesn't already include them; they are so creamy and have a rich cheesy flavor with a nice crispy top layer. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the Avocado Toast. The bacon bits, lettuce, and poached egg completely overwhelm the avocado, which is virtually nonexistent. It's served on a very small and boring piece of wheat toast.
