They told me there had been one previous owner, that was true. They told me it was a commuter vehicle, explicitly claiming it was not a work truck. The first time time I washed it, a business logo appeared on the back windows. It can only be seen in certain light, with a thin layer of moisture applied. But, it does seem like it was, in fact, a work truck. Next up, come time around a year after purchase. Paint on hood, bumper and above wheels faded. The paint does not appear to be original on these parts. Lost their shine. I would speculate they aren't even the original parts. I do not know the details, but reviewing the carfax I see the vehicle was partially rebuilt just before the ownership transferred from the original owner to Charlton. But they did not mention that. Did they not know? Or did they just lie to me?. I guess when the dealer tells you something to your face, you have to check the carfax and not trust what they tell you. But I did not know that. I was young and naive (still am maybe). Thirdly, the salesman mentioned he had been driving the vehicle personally prior to the sale. I would rather not know that the salesmen drive around in the vehicles until they are sold. That kind of taints the experience, eh? Fourthly, when going over financials, the salesman asked how I made my money and complimented my salary. Next, he bragged that he, in fact, made more money than I did. Well, good for him. Finalizing the documentating was completed the same day with a plesant lady named Monica. I was given instructions on completing the documentation and on where to deliver the car (40 miles away) and made an appointment for delivery on 3/11/26. When I arrived there the man who did the intake inspection was nice to work with and he already had the $19,750 check in hand. That took around 20 minutes then they paid for an Uber Chevy Suburban to drive me home. Three pain free days and $19,750 from start to finish was an outstanding experiance and givemethevin.com is a very honest and classy operation. I recommend them to anyone. It had just come in and had not gone through their inspection and it had a couple of things that needed to be fixed, so we wound up having to take it back on that Monday. They were so kind and put us in a loaner car and kept us up to date on the work. We did have to take it back in again today for them to look at the grill as it was not sitting right. Gary offered a solution, but because it was an after market grill and because we weren't sure if it was going to be fixed correctly, not their fault at all, we decided not to have it fixed. Gary felt that due to the issues, that he would compensate us with helping us purchase a new grill that would fit the truck. None of this was Gary's fault, he didn't know and again we purchased the truck as soon as it hit his lot. Gary definitely is a class act, he truly cares about his customers and goes above and beyond to make sure the deal is done right and that we left feeling good. He listened to everything we had to say, he was willing to go to what ever extent it was to make it right including taking money out of his own pocket. Since the vehicle came with a 90-day bumper-to-bumper warranty, I advised him to return to the dealership for assistance. Unfortunately, he was repeatedly given the runaround until he was no longer able to return the vehicle. As a first-time car buyer, he relied on the guidance of the dealership staff. His salesperson, Caleb, stated that he was unfamiliar with the return policy, and sales manager Rob also appeared unable to clearly explain the company's policy. I eventually accompanied my son to the dealership to address the situation myself. Another manager, Cameran, was able to assist us, which we appreciated. However, we also encountered resistance and poor communication from a service technician before the issue was finally addressed.
