Tower has been working on my 1999 Tahoe for over the past year. Now they may not be the cheapest shop in town, but I feel they have always been honest and do great work. I would rather pay a little more for great work, than take it somewhere because it was cheaper and not get quality service. They always have great customer service as well. Originally had my '16 wrangler diagnosed at a different shop, had a cyl 4 misfire. I didn't like their opinion and took it to Tower, as the company I work at uses them on their (rather large) fleet and thought their opinion could be trusted. They flipped the injectors and did a compression test, "drove it 30+ miles with no issue." Paid $600 and got my jeep back practically empty on gas, but whatever. Price of doing business I suppose. Less than 3 miles down the road and boom, misfire. Cyl 4. Took it back in, diagnoses? Need to remove the head, pressure and valve test, and resurfaced. Looking at $2800 and potentially more depending what they found. At this point, over text, they were rude when I was asking them questions of how we jumped to this conclusion. Rude enough that even if I was going to pay that money, it wasn't going to be to them. I pulled it from their shop and had my SO check it out, who happens to be a diesel mechanic. Couple minutes of research, and 45 minutes later he fixed the issue. Loose pin hitting a connector, creating this nightmare. He corrected it, hasn't happened again in almost 5 months. A fix that cost me nothing could've cost me thousands of dollars if I trusted their opinion. Needless to say, save yourself some stress, time and money and take it elsewhere. read more

You were told not to touch the tilt stirring column, and you moved it any ways I put three stirring columns in that truck because of people that don't understand the sensitivity of the column ! I don't think people would like it when you don't listen to the customer! Plus, I asked for the passenger side window to function, and all you did was replace the motor, so I had to buy the switch and make the window function for $5233.00! I was charged $10,000 to replace the engine on my 2005 Yukon. I then became stranded for 3 days over an electric connector that was just pushed into the hole with the wrong end so it did not clip in(should have been replaced with propper clip). I then noticed that there was a chunk missing from my harmonic balancer. I asked why I was not giving the opportunity to replace it while the engine was apart. I was told the part if fine the damage won't cause problems. I returned another day asking why there was a sqweek in my engine and payed the $150 to be told it was a belt and tensioner. I replaced them but the noise continued. It got louder and engine started to sound like it needed oil. I took it to another mechanic who said"your harmonic balancer is broken and you should not drive the vehicle this way". He replaced the part and...... The noise stopped. When I called Tower Auto back and explained they insisted that the part was fine I must have damaged it after they worked on it. Same answer they gave when I asked about the broken part the first time. Regardless of where it was broken when the mechanic saw the rusted part he should have given me the opportunity to purchase a new one instead of putting it on my $10,000 motor. Be warned you need to climb under your vehicle and double check everything they fix. This not the first problem I have had with them doing inferior work but.... It will be that last. I will never return. Poor workmanship and way over priced. read more

Dropped my truck off to be inspected for a rear main seal and they tried telling me that they had to cut the exhaust of and re weld it after but if they looked at it they would see that it's clamped on then I was told cam sensors needed to be replaced. All said and done they wanted to charge me $2,400 lol I feel like the place is a scam. Not to mention I was charged $154 just for the inspection, I called a couple other shops and they said that was crazy Expensive. read more

My dad took in his Ford 2500 diesel to fix the upper portion of the motor. He was quoted 5,100 and the quote just kept growing to a ridiculous amounts. He was not allowed to talk to the mechanic or technician as they call it. You have to go thru the front desk girls who can't even answer your questions. They just wanted to keep adding more items to upgrade or fix and it was brought in for one issue only. So out the door price was 6,500 and barely fixed a thing. I feel as a woman I got taken advantaged because I gave them information where the problem might be. I told them about work that had been done on my car and then my tail lights and dash lights didn't work. Instead of looking in that area they spent all day from 8:30 in the morning until closing and didn't call me that they were keep ing it all night. They said they forgot! I had to be stranded in town without my high blood pressure meds. And they didn't even call me the next day that it was done. I called them. They said they were going to call after lunch. I was getting sicker and sicker. Theh charged me $485.00 to fix a wire that was touching my license plate. This was the are I had told them about . That I had had trailer lights hooked up and then my tail lights stopped working. Then when I took my car the blinkers weren't working although they worked when the car was dropped off! I got scammed! I want my money back! And now because of there work I still have to get my blinkers to work! read more

Got $900 worth of work for $1700 with a discount. I ended up having an engine fire. They didn't adjust the carb like I asked or even look at it. The oil pan issue was an easy fix and they screwed that up the first time and charged me for it. I was told $500 plus parts and got a bill for $1700. The front office staff was outstanding,but the mechanics need more training. They maybe good for oil changes and minor work, but nothing else!!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! SCAMERS ALERT!!!My truck went in with air in fuel lines. I had purged all air out and got the fuel coming out before going to tower automotive. & Bought one new battery instead of 2. My mistake. They said I had all these sensors that were going off & it would be $800 to check them. I got my truck back, poped the hood checked senors they had placed the senors on but not clicked in, many locations. Also they broke my turbo wire harness. & Continued to blame me for all the issues. It didn't have going in. Horrible customer service. Caught them in 4 lies. They didn't want to give my new battery back said I already took it back which I didn't; then I said how could you when I have the core still. From old then all the sudden they "found it." Then I got trick back again and they never fixed the wire harness they broke. Then my windshield wipers didn't work leaving they blamed that on me. Said it would be additional charge to bring in and check out. That in 9 years never had a problem but after leaving there they didn't work. They blamed that on me also. Then the manager with my daughter in truck was yelling at me about my wipers that I broke them and they never touched it. It is the worst car repair experience I've ever had in my life. read more

Took my 2006 Honda Accord there specifically for my idle dropping to 500 or below when I'm stopped at a red light or something it would shake for 2 seconds and stop and the rpm's would go back to normal well the other day it was shaking pretty bad so I took it to the shop mind you my check engine light has been on I specifically asked for them to check that out not anything else well they call me back and say I need a new alternator and battery so I say go ahead with the work and just that alone was almost 900$ and then they called me saying it didn't fix the problem and that I needed a new fuse box which would cost 700$ more and then when I went to the shop pissed off and I had specifically asked them if they happened to look at the idle air control valve which is the IAC valve (idk to much about cars but I do know how to look shit up and everything and I mean everything that my car was doing was point at my IAC ) and I did ask them specifically if they could look at that when I brought it in and the guy told me no problem well when I went it there I asked if anyone had looked at it and they said they had no idea and that they could go talk to the tech and I asked if I could speak with them and they told me no (I understand their working) but if you aren't the person working on my car I really don't wanna talk to you because your literally just the middleman and your leaving shit out of the equation so I said fuck that paid the 900$ and fucking left well get this a day later I go and start it and now my battery light is on funny how shit works huh read more

This place is amazing! Great honest service. All of our vehicles have been in for one reason or another; not only are they fair in their prices and their skill levels are high, the place is CLEAN. There is a comfortable waiting area complete with TV, and coffee, water, etc, but there is a very nice lady who sits behind the desk to converse with too. This is a very fair place to take a vehicle for repairs or an oil change. We started by using a coupon in the local mailer for a $19.99 oil change. The only additional charge was for the extra oil that is used by our SUV. We had a couple of repairs there also and the parts and labor were very reasonable. Fast, clean job on oil change with a thorough inspection.

Brought my Beetle in to have the headlight replaced with a new headlight I had purchased. When it was done I was told that something was cracked so the headlight could not be adjusted. When I drove it for the first time in the dark I discovered that the headlight pointed more towards the ground than straight out. Totally ineffective! Especially since I have to drive 9 miles on a road with no streetlights. I called Tower to complain about this. I was told by Kristen that I brought my car in to have the headlight replaced and this is what they did. I did not ask for a diagnosis. How incredibly stupid and incompetent is this place? If something isn't going to work properly a mechanic that is any good would come out and tell you that there is a problem. They would also offer to fix that problem. Which would have made them more money. Now I am left with a shoddy job and a headlight that doesn't function in an effective manner. Kristin was rude on the phone and said that they did what I asked.
