I had a terrible experience with this dry cleaner. I brought in my jacket with a detachable collar for dry cleaning and told them I needed it the next day, as cold weather was coming. They assured me it would be ready. When I returned, I got my jacket back without the collar--and worse, I quickly realized it probably hadn't even been cleaned, just pressed. The next day, I had to wear it without the collar and ended up getting sick from the cold. When I finally got the collar back, I was furious to see that they had put a pin right through it, leaving permanent holes in a material that won't recover. Not worth the 25 dollars, and I think I will be taking it elsewhere. Would not recommend. read more

Amazing, friendly, helpful, above and beyond standard service!! I had a big work meeting to attend, parked my car and noticed I had a split in the seam of my dress pants in the lower thigh area that was growing larger. Yikes! A quick Google search showed that Tower Cleaners was the nearest dry cleaner in the area. I walked in and shared my predicament. The gentleman at the counter was sympathetic, but said they didn't have anyone on site at the moment who could patch it up. But he offered to try to pin it together for me. I was desperate and gladly accepted. He pointed me to the dressing room and I was able to discreetly hand him the pants while I waited for him to do what he could. A few minutes later, he shared he was done and discreetly handed me the pants back. I was a bit confused as I couldn't feel any pins, yet the pants looked and felt as good as new. I put them on and then exited the dressing room asking him what kind of magic he worked. He said though he doesn't usually sew or use the sewing machine, he was able to figure it out for me. I asked how much it costs and he said it was on the house. I am still blown away by the generosity, kindness, and just all around exemplary service that was shown to me in my time of need. Nick is always there and does a great job with alterations - on multiple occasions I've had to get pants or a jacket altered for events and Nick is great on advice on where to measure and fit a garment. Because of this, Nick closed the shop early on a Saturday and headed back home to VA. Won't go anywhere else, for so many reasons! This isn't the closest or most convenient location for us, but the quality of the cleaning and customer service is extremely worth it. Also, it's very reasonable pricing. We took my husbands wedding suit to get cleaned there the week after our wedding. Understandably, he was pretty busy/distracted that day and forgot that we had some friends/family hand him cash that day and he just stuffed it in his pocket. It was quite a bit of money- but Nick just called us immediately when he found it and put the cash in a zip lock for us to pick up. So nice and really feels neighborly. I discovered this dry cleaning gem when the new Giant opened across from it. I wish I had known about it sooner! I moved a few months ago but hadn't found a new dry cleaners in the area that I liked yet. Well, as of two weeks ago, no longer will I be walking a half mile from my old dry cleaners fighting dry cleaning bags against the wind. I have a weekly load of dry cleaning due to my profession, and as soon as I switched to Tower Cleaners, my bill dropped $8 to $10 each week (I don't pay too much attention to individual prices on items). It's definitely one of the best priced dry cleaning establishments in the D.C. area. Tower Cleaners has done a very nice job with my dry cleaning thus far--timely, reasonably priced, crisp lines, and no damage. On multiple/most occasions (I'm a procrastinator) I had my dry cleaning done within in a very short time frame for no extra cost. I took a pair of pants that had stains on them over to Tower Cleaners. When I brought them in, I told the owner that I was specifically bringing them in because I wanted the stains removed. When I picked them up earlier today, the stains were still there. I told the owner that I didn't think that I owed him the $5.95 he was charging me for the pants in light of the very specific conversation we had prior to his accepting them to dry clean on September 20. He started saying that this is not how he operates and that if he did that for every customer, he would be out of business. He also then said that he's been around for 30 years which means he knows what he's doing. I thought this was an unfair transaction - tack on the fact that he was somewhat obnoxious in his statement, and the fact that I have spent hundreds of dollars at this place - and I am likely going to be looking for alternatives. My advice: be very clear with this establishment if you have something you are taking in for a very specific reason and get it on video. read more

Nick is very friendly, and they do a good job laundering shirts and cleaning the occasional suit or dress. Prices for shirts seem slightly below average for what I've spent elsewhere in the city, and dry cleaning is about on average. Very poor customer service. They "misplaced" my clothing on more than one occasion and did not seem to care less. They did not offer an apology, discount, or rational explanation. It also takes an incredibly long time to get one simple item drycleaned and its overpriced. You will be much better off going some place where they treat their customers with respect. read more
