It's still a bit of a ride from here to the mineral springs....keep your eye out for buffalo, they're all over the place.

As an added bonus, the ice cream had huckleberry jam swirls in it, yum. Totally fresh, great texture - yummy. Satisfied our ice cream itch on a warm day after a long hike! We wanted to sit outside to eat the ice cream but a couple of ravens occupied the place because people kept feeding them crumbs. Do not feed wildlife, including the birds - there's signage/requests everywhere in the park but there's always someone who doesn't heed them.. Sigh. Overall the store is great if you want to shop for souvenirs and anything Yellowstone or huckleberry related. Apart from that, they do stock some ready to eat meals as well as some pantry items.

It's the type with the permanently mounted stools where you sit at a bar and you face others on the other side. We ended up striking up quite the conversation with other park visitors, which was fun and helped us plan other stops in our day. The food was excellent! I had the most amazing grilled cheese sandwich (or it seemed so at the time!) And my partner had chili that he absolutely loved. It really hit the spot and we were so glad that we took the time to eat here. Made the rest of the day go really well!

When I saw him picking it up I realized it was mine and he gave it back to me. In all the stores in West Yellowstone, I have never seen anyone take the time to keep the floor clean. While I was in the store the owner and his employees were very kind to me and my dog, tucked away in her dog sling; they offered her water. The employees are very friendly and welcoming; considering the multitude of international tourists. I purchased several items in the Clearance section of the store as well as the main section. All the items I purchased were reasonably priced. The store has an extensive selection of souvenirs for everyone's taste. Spend sometime looking around and sit at the old fashion soda bar and enjoy the best ice cream in West Yellowstone. I highly recommend to visit this store.

I took a picture of the grandkids in front of the ice cream counter and was rudely confronted by a middle aged male worker for not asking his permission to take the photo. Then he wanted to keep arguing about it. Very poor customer service to say the least and a lack of caring that our little grandkids were with us. I returned the next morning to get the hat and it had not been removed from case. The employees that morning told me they could not get in case and left it at that.
