Ive been to this urgent care twice previously with my son who has autism and can sometimes have a…read moredifficult time being examined or treated. Both times the staff were absolutely amazing with him patient, understanding, and accommodating. Because of those experiences, I felt comfortable bringing my 19-month-old daughter here today. My daughter is medically complex and unfortunately we weren't able to get in with her PCP. I was trying to avoid an unnecessary ED visit for something relatively minor that could be treated with an antibiotic ointment. As always the ladies at the front desk were warm, kind, and welcoming. They explained that because of my daughter's medical complexity, they needed to ask the doctor whether he was comfortable seeing her, which I completely understood. Unfortunately, my interaction with the doctor was very different from the experiences I've had here before. He explained that he could evaluate her but couldn't guarantee treatment, which I also understood. My issue was not with him setting that boundary, it was the way he communicated it. While speaking to me, he began clapping his hands for emphasis and explaining things in a way that felt incredibly condescending, as though I couldn't understand what he was saying. His words, tone, and body language came across as harsh and dismissive. As the parent of a medically complex child I'm very familiar with the difference between urgent care, primary care, and emergency care. I wasn't asking anyone to treat something outside of their scope. I just wanted my daughter evaluated for a relatively minor concern before automatically taking her to the ED. I'm disappointed because the rest of the staff and my previous experiences here with my son have been wonderful. Unfortunately, based on today's interaction I would hesitate to bring a medically complex young child here again. If your child has significant medical needs, I would recommend going directly to their PCP or emergency department rather than risking an experience like ours today.

We arrived on time, yet there was no one at the registration desk, and patients began lining up. After waiting 10-15 minutes, the registration staff finally arrived. Our registration then took more than 30 minutes because the staff member repeatedly entered incorrect information, couldn't find our records, and spent time chatting with coworkers during the process. In addition, she appeared impatient and was unfriendly and dismissive throughout the interaction. My husband stayed with our child throughout the delay. Had I been there, I would have left and gone to Labcorp instead. I hope the office manager will review the registration process and provide additional training as needed to improve the patient experience.

After I told Dr. Cannon about my fall and pain, he performed some "hip alignment"during which he asked me to move in ways that were very painful. After, he asked if he could refer me to a chiropractor or a DO for osteopathic manipulation. He did not order any tests to rule out a serious back injury and instead focused on "chronic pain" resulting from one leg being shorter. However, I was not experiencing chronic pain and made that clear. I did not feel listened to during the consultation and felt frustrated that Dr. Cannon dismissed my concerns and recommended I seek care with a field (chiropractic) which he personally admitted he himself would not pursue. The manipulations he performed have made my pain much worse, and I will have to seek intervention again.

I had to beg the girl at the front to even talk to me. I was very sick. I have had those symptoms before, and I knew that there was a problem. I had a fever, chills, and many other feelings which made me think that I had the same sickness from before. I even left work early. I never do this. The staff began to rush me through my initial paperwork by saying "are you finished yet"? I was then quickly rushed into the examination room. The doctor, Dr. Meyers, a pleasantly plump female who wasn't pleasant at all; looked at me for less than a minute. She then said "There's nothing I can do for you. If you get worse, go to the hospital". I begged her for antibiotics. She told me "no": I knew I had this sickness before and needed antibiotics fast. I was then brought discharge paperwork. Dr. Meyers told me to sign it so she could go home. I told her I am sick and begged one more time for medication. She told me to go to the hospital again. I then asked for my $87 co-pay back. The fraud Doctor told me she can't give me my money back even though she told me she "wouldn't help me". Then, I told her to stick the discharge paperwork up her ass. I did not sign it, and began to walk out. I was practically chased out of the waiting room, as they told me to get back here and sign my discharge paperwork. After having the worst medical experience of my life, I canceled the $87 charge on my credit card. The next day, I went to Temple Hospital because my symptoms got worse. The Doctors there are pros. They told me I could have died if I didn't get the proper treatment. Temple is amazing. They save lives, and definitely saved mine. Pioneer, on the other hand, just wants collect money without abiding to duty to act.

The office was very clean, up to date equipment and services from what I could see. The staff was very nice and professional for the most part. I thought some of them were a little casual for my taste. Some of the conversations that were going on in ear shot didnt seem like the kind of stuff that should be discussed around customers/patients. Other than that I was pleasantly surprise at the care and speed. I had to get chest x rays. They did them right on sight, wrote me a script, sent it electronically to my pharmacist and called me with the results of my x ray before i had even gotten home. So definitely happy with the overall experience.

It was not a busy day, so there was no rush. He didn't touch me at all. He was standing 5 feet away from me the whole time, didn't check lymph nodes, eyes, ears, etc. Barely questions asked. I'm not sure if he understood everything I said. I had to ask him if he wanted to see my rash, I lifted my shirt an inch, that's it - same here, no questions. He gave me a dozen of print outs, no further info. Coming to find out at home that I had high blood pressure, pointed out on one printout. Mind telling me??? A very bizarre visit. I do not feel taken care of at this facility. The nurse was very nice though.
