Town Center in Celebration is still a wonderful area to visit. We came for Xmas in July, but it was too late and it had rained earlier. They do up Xmas really nicely during Xmas time. For Xmas in July it was minimal but they did have some vendor tables. There's some shops here, a bakery, a few restaurants, and cafe. Some restaurants include Columbia. There's also an ice cream place nearby to it and a Woof Gang Dog shop. You can find Starbucks here, a Mexican Restaurant and an Inn, It's quite a nice area with Disney Roots! Driving through Celebration for Xmas lights is a must! read more

Town Center Celebration is a quiet town tucked away from the bustling tourism of Kissimmee. The town, with its restaurants, entertainment, specialty stores, and much more, is centered around an enormous, serene lake. I noticed people either relaxing by or walking the trail along the lake, strolling through the town, or enjoying the dining options. If you are looking for an open-air place to walk and enjoy the quietness, this is the perfect place! There are lots of walking and biking trails where you might catch some wildlife. From birds, squirrels, and even some juvenile alligators were spotted (so keep alert if you decide to enjoy a stroll along the waterfront areas with your dog). The town center has many great stores and restaurants to choose from. There's also plentiful outside, dog friendly seating options, some even nicely covered. Free street parking as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening of dining, shopping, and walking around this picturesque town center. read more

Celebration is beautiful. The neighborhood is so pretty that it was the backdrop for the movie, "The Truman Show." There are restaurants, stores and a pretty lake to walk around. The ice cream shop allows walk ins (not even customers) to use their bathroom. We enjoyed sitting outside and chatting with dog walkers and families. There is plenty of free parking. read more

The Town Center of Celebration is like stepping into a perfect Hallmark movie. Community events, free entertainment, welcoming shops, places to eat and much more. This clean, safe and (except for busy holidays) easy to visit location is a perfect spot for family and friends to enjoy a nice walk or evening in Central Florida. The town is VERY pro-pedestrian, and offers lots of places to walk to and visit. Cars can park on the streets (except for major events). There are ample benches and shaded areas, and soft music playing a majority of the time. Simply put, it is a simple and magical step back in time to American small town centers. read more

Mrs. had read about the Celebration town center holiday event in "Things to do in Orlando". We checked it out yesterday. We reached here around 4:30 PM. So traffic was not bad and there was plenty of parking. By the time we left at 6:00 PM, we noticed people were driving in circles to find parking. We took the train ride ($5 each). It was a good 12 minute ride circling all around the town of Celebration. Almost all the houses in the neighborhood had Christmas decorations in their front lawns. Some houses had exceptional lighting (Movie scene worthy). It was the longest ride at any event/carnival that we had been to. (+2) We hung out beside the lake enjoying the rocking chairs. It was very relaxing after long touristy days we have been having since the moment we had arrived at Orlando. The cloudy weather, the light drizzle, the Christmas lights, people with Starbucks coffee in their hand, ice skating rink, kids screaming with joy at the train and the horses, the birds near the lake, a guest appearance by a turtle near the lake all made for good photo opportunities. We missed going here on Christmas day. It would have been a really good experience for Ian. After doing a week at the WDW parks, I was ready to do something different one afternoon. We decided to come here to wander around a bit, Celebration was a place I always wanted to see for myself. We were here mid-day during the week, the parking wasn't too bad. We secured a free spot not too far from the shops. I expected to see a large downtown, but it was small. We spotted restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shops and a pet supply store. Many of the residents and visitors seemed to enjoy sitting by the water and sunning themselves. The city itself is a bit odd looking and sterile. Some buildings look similar to something you would find in New England, but they are strangely modern. If you are from MA or VT, you will know what I mean. It was fun to see all of the different architectural styles here thought. My parents, who are retired and in their late 60's came back to see Celebration a few weeks after my visit. They absolutely LOVED it! Just kind of meh for me, but it's a good alternative if you need a break from the parks! read more

Christmas down here can be fun, especially for kids. They have manfactured snow, actually soap bubbles. They decorations are really nice. They have horse and buggy rides that are all lit up. Be warned that some of the streets are closed for Christmas and other events. They have several parking lots. There are several restaurants and some fun shopping. One of our favorites is Kilwins which has some excellent candy and ice cream. read more

What a chill shopping destination. Great place for photos! I can't imagine how packed this place must get. We came during the late morning on a Friday and it was not at all packed. There were families and couples everywhere enjoying the beautiful lakeside shops and sights so we definitely found the right spot to shop and relax. Holy Snowflakes, Batman! Imagine for a moment that Walt Disney let his Imagineers design the perfect planned community for their families, and that they crafted this amazing downtown area with quaint shops, fun eateries and taverns, an old-fashioned movie theater, and a lakefront which hosts all sorts of festivals and awesome fireworks displays, oh yes.......and it snows every night (on schedule) during the winter. That pretty well describes the town of Celebration, Florida which is located along I-4 just to the west of the Disney parks. Back in the 90s Disney built a planned community for the families of their executives. This place was not just aesthetically pleasing -- it was manicured, and it remains spectacular even twenty years later. The downtown area is charming, and reminiscent of everyone's vision of a perfect small town USA with modern day amenities. The shops are a lot of fun to walk through, and the shop clerks encourage browsing and asking questions about the merchandise. I especially enjoy the bookstore and pet store, and my girlfriend spends wayyyyyyy too much time in the ladies clothing and jewelry stores. We like driving over from Tampa and spending the day wandering through all of the little shops in town and stopping for dinner at the Celebration Town Tavern or the Columbia, then catching a movie at the twin-screen cinema, and finally having some ice cream or candy at Kilwin's. We especially enjoy visiting Celebration to see the 4th of July fireworks around the lakefront, and consider that one of the best free shows in the area. My personal favorite best time to see Celebration is right now - during their winter festival. While we're busy enjoying 70 degree days, and evenings that dip into the 50s and 60s (*insert brrrrr sounds here*), the folks in Celebration have turned their downtown Town Center area into a winter wonderland playground. The holiday decorations are spectacular, and you'll see vendors selling candy canes, hot cocoa, and cookies, while these big ol' honkin artificial snow-making machines pump out snow onto the streets. It is great fun to watch the kids having snowball battles, making snow angels, and trying to build snowmen before it all melts away. They usually have musical groups in attendance, which adds to the great atmosphere. If you've not yet been to Celebration, then plan a weekend day trip to explore the area and have some fun. They have a Farmer's Market on Sunday mornings as well. read more

Did I just step into the movie town of "Pleasantville"? That is Exactly what you will think as you drive into the pristine and perfectly spaced Town Center of Celebration. Everything is adorable and "picture perfect".... literally!! How can this be? I have been to dozens of cities, even planned communities and nothing looks like this place. Turns out, Town Center Celebration was Disney inspired!!! And it certainly shows! The beautifully designed and manicured Town Center is home to adorable shops, restaurants, and businesses. Many of the more notable buildings were designed by renowned architects! Even the Bank of America buildings looks like something out of a painting!! We were told we HAD to see this area, and I am glad we did. We had lunch at the Thai restaurant, ice cream at a chain (been to so many times but was even more adorable here), browsed a few stores and even had a slice of pizza. There was a sweet serenity to the area as the only sounds you heard were sounds of other shoppers and nature itself. I haven't heard birds chirping so clearly in a shopping area in a long time. We will definitely be back. Everyone was very sweet. The lake was so peaceful to look at- until we saw the sign "It is illegal to harass or feed the alligators". WHAT?!? ARE THERE ALLIGATORS in there?!?!? Apparently fishing in the lake is ok as we saw quite a few people fishing. I am told they host some great activities for the holidays- including covering the entire place with SNOW!!! We will definitely be back to check it out! read more

This place has a small hometown atmosphere. Each time I've been here it has been a great time. There are lots of shops to go through to pick up trinkets or souvenirs to take home. There are great restaurants as well you can have a variety of food from a full five course dinner to a snack or an ice cream cone or just a pastry. Every holiday is celebrated in a big way with decorations and music an activity for the kids such as actual snowflakes falling at Christmas or leaves falling for Halloween & celebrating Fall. There is always something extra like a lighted Cinderella carriage ride drawn by beautiful horses. Great way to spend an evening or afternoon with the family or just you & your significant other. read more

Our family found Celebration while on a week long Disney vacation. We had a great Sushi lunch and came back a few times to walk the lake, tour shops and have dinner. So fun for the family. Will definitely be on the short list when we are looking to come back. read more

Ok, now as someone that has lived in Town Center for a few years, I must provide an honest update. Town Center is as beautiful as always to the naked tourist eye. The sad reality is that the "Town Center" was purchased by Lexin Capital some time ago. They are an investment group (whatever...rich douchey type) in NYC, and all they see over here is $$. They have for years taken money from maintenance reserves for the buildings in Town Center (one of which I call home) and have not put any money back into the infrastructure. You can see this when you look closely around town and see blue tarps hanging from Market Street buildings, after hand shoring holding up the buildings on Celebration Ave, both front and back (660 building). If you are lucky enough to land a parking spot in the public parking, you will see that the same building has an extra staircase coming from nowhere. This is just to "bring it up to" fire code, while they work to try and rebuild the building from inside out. It has had years of neglect, forcing most residents in town to wait for the day that their home is no longer habitable. This is the running theme in town, where you can now see the Market Street Cafe has closed up shop for good. Aside from horrible food, they constantly fought sewage, water leak and pest issues. The Thai Thani building has it's blue tarp waiving proudly in the wind, and if you look at the units above Sweet Escape, you can see where water has run down the walls from the roof. But don't let this discourage you from coming. Lexin is still happy to take your money. You can come down almost any day an fight for parking, just for an opportunity to take a 95 degree horse and carriage ride through the streets. If you wonder where they park the horse trailer, you can find it in the fire lane behind the Seminole building...almost every day. This is a town that encourages outsiders to come and experience the inside of the snow globe. The events are still great, but draw far too many people and unsafe traffic. There is no "Plan" for emergency vehicles on Halloween, 4th of July or Christmas time. You will experience the gridlock traffic if you attempt to visit these days. With the above being said, I still LOVE living and playing here. It is a great place with great people, great food and great times. My updated review is simply reflective on the poor management surrounding the Town Center. It lives in neglect. Please feel free to take a look around next time you are in town. If i could choose any town to live in Florida, it would be Celebration. It's got a Northern small town feel. Kind of like our very own Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. Town Center is their little downtown area filled with shops and restaurants, and even a hotel, the Bohemian. They have events throughout the year, one of my favorites being 'Now Snowing' where they have "snowfall", horse drawn carriage rides, and ice skating. Its a really cozy town with a great little shopping district. A nice place to stroll and take in the sights and get some fresh air. Also, it seems like dogs are welcome in most stores as well, so bring your pup! read more

My family has lived in Celebration for almost three years. We love going downtown for special events or any other day. My two-year-old son likes to run around in the fountain by the lake and get a scoop of ice cream at Kilwins. When my mom or grandma visit we like to go to the adorable shops and spend a little money. I'm a foodie and enjoy eating at Celebration Town Tavern, Thai Thani, Columbia, or Cafe D'Antonio. There are lots of special events throughout the year: fireworks on Independance Day and New Years, Snowing nightly every night of the winter, car shows, sidewalk sales, and many others. Living here can sometimes feel like being on vacation because of all the tourists. I meet a lot of people from all over the country when I hang out downtown with my son. If you want to get a good look at the whole town rent a bike or Segway and grab a map from the Celebration History Center. read more

We decided to go here for fourth of July. It was packed! My phone died so I didn't get a chance to take pics. We're newbies but a lot of people brought their lawn chairs and blankets. There was a band playing all night. Different vendors offering food. Bounce houses for the kids. Some people dressed up SciFi themed. We first visited the town center at Celebration in December and it was the most magical place to visit outside of Disney. They had Christmas Carolers singing and dressed like they were from the Christmas Carol. They also a nightly hourly snow fall by their huge Christmas tree which is pretty awesome for little kids. They also offered sleigh rides, horse carriage rides and train rides. I did the train ride with my son and it was fun because they travel around the town of Celebration. The scene was perfect to get in the Christmas spirit, no doubt this will become part of our family tradition each year to attend to. read more

Celebration has a number of activities to participate in during the holidays. Every night you can experience a "snow". Kids dig the snow. They have an ice skating rink. The ice skates look super awkward and it was silly watching kids using walkers to assist them, but they looked like they were having a blast. There is also free entertainment on the main street. Parking is terrible but you will not stress about it much if you choose to park further away from the main street and on one of the side streets. You can also do a horse carriage ride if that kind of activity interests you. I would make advance reservations at the restaurants if you plan to dine there during the holidays. read more

I am not sure if I like or hate this place. It's a town center that feels like a theme park. It's an odd mix of "old" new building... I mean new construction that are meant to look in various older styles. It look impressive from afar but fake from close by. They make it a trade mark to organize "celebration" on various event. The Town Center is built near a lake and this is the site to various fireworks. We were in Orlando for the 4th of July this year and we saw that Celebration was organizing a "Sci-Fi 4th of July", that peaked our attention. Since the number of people coming to those events are overwhelming, the town organize a "park and ride" place about two miles off the town center. We parked there and took the shuttle. The Town Center was packed and the ambiance was quite festive (reminder of a theme park also). After seing the costume contest we settled down on the lake shore, a little further to wait for the fireworks. While waiting we chatted with some nice folks who live around and they really love Celebration, coming here regularly for those events. Fireworks were spectacular and plentiful... although my son didn't like the scifi songs, thinking that these were all the most obvious songs you can think of (theme from 2001, Star Wars...)... well, this is what one would expect isn't it? Getting out of town after the fireworks was a very slow process. The town is designed to be "livable" but this also means that the streets are narrows and the number of access are limited. It took us about 90 minutes to leave the are. All in all, a nice experience but not really my kind of place. read more

So much to see and do, eat and shop, stoll around the walking paths, rent bicycles, horse and carriage rides as well as events all throughout the year. - Fourth of July party, food truck Fridays, farmers markets, snowing nightly during the holiday season, car shows, pie festivals etc etc etc. An amazing place to spend a day. If you want to play with soap looking like snow, then Town Center is the way to go! Snow is fake, nasty and is scatter as if there was not enought to cover the entire street. Christmas lights, I have seen better and for todlers there is nothing much to do. Maybe next year they can feed santa more to look like the real one. Waste of time/parking is horrible. read more

First, please note my 1 star review is solely for the "ice" skating rink. I wish I could give it a 0 star but here goes.... The "ice" is plastic, not actual ice which my 10 year old hockey player absolutely could not skate on. It is literally impossible to skate well on plastic especially plastic that has been tiled together (it's one of those backyard tile put together things made of polyetholine). Secondly, the wicked witch owner charged us $10 despite the fact that my son already had his own skates. Although, might I say when I called I was told if you had your own skates it would be $5 but I guess they can't keep up with her own lies. Third, my son explained to her that he was not having a good time and wanted his money back that he worked so hard to earn. He explained to her that he was not able to skate as there was no ice and he didn't want to destroy his skates. She responded to him with a straight face "oh well, don't skate then" to which he said "can you please give me back my money since I will not be skating" to which she replied "nope, we don't do that". Mind you my son didn't even take 1 full lap at this point. Lastly, she and the celebration township are clearly deceiving people into thinking this is an actual ice skating rink. She would rather keep hard earned money from a child as she is clearly hurting so bad that $10 will change her life rather than have a satisfied customer. It's quite a shame because the rest of the event was beautiful. The horse carriages were gorgeous, dance show was cute, and the train ride looked fun (we didn't go on it though as my son was too upset at this point). Too bad a useless heartless witch had to spoil a child's night. Because of this, we will not be returning to the event overall. Such a shame. I hate to be a negative person but I feel like I need to be honest here. read more

Great place to go to during Christmas!!! The town from 6-9 (every hour) blew snow throughout the center of the town, had ice skating and horse carriage rides. I felt like I was in a fairy tale book!! Took the kids to see this event and we had a wonderful time. The highlight was the "snow" that fell and my children just loved it. They ran around with their tongues out trying to catch the snow. An ice skaing ring, with walkers to keep them from falling down was a lot of fun, this was their first time skaing and what a brilliant idea that is. There was free entertainment in the square, including an areal show with performers on a hoop and ribbons in the air which was amazing, such talent. We will be going again next year no doubt. read more
