I've purchased many tires over the years from Town Fair Tire but never from the Danbury location until this experience. Less than two years, I had them install a set of new tires. The manufacture rated the tires for 75,000 miles. I don't expect to get 75,000 miles out of any tire but I only got less than 25,000 miles out of them before they were completely shot. I shouldn't have to replace my tires every 20 months. I went back to the Danbury location and told them. At first, the guy said I didn't get the extended warranty so my tires are not covered for anything. I told him that the manufacturer has a warranty on the tires and I didn't need the extended warranty to file a claim. He then looked at my tires and insisted that I had an alignment issue which caused the premature wear. He said the issue wouldn't be covered and outright REFUSED to even try to put in a warranty claim. He also tried to tell me that I need to rotate my tires every 3,000 miles and get an alignment twice/year which is ludicrous. It used to be that way many years ago. These days, every 6,000-8,000 miles is sufficient to rotate your tires and an alignment every 12-18 months is fine unless you feel your vehicle is out of alignment. BTW -- I even brought copies of my rotations with me. He then got the manager who told me the exact same thing. They would not try to warranty my tires with the manufacturer which costs them absolutely NOTHING! They instead offered me $20 off the retail price for each tire I was purchasing ($80 total). After having words with both of them, I left and went to another Town Fair Tire location with my original receipt. They checked my tires and immediately started the warranty process. They pro-rated my purchase for 67% of the original purchase price ($77/tire, $308 total). They put it right through, no problem. After they installed my tires, I looked at the results of the wheel alignment out of curiosity. Turns out 2 of my wheels had been in perfect alignment (camber, caster, and toe). The toe was slightly off on the other 2 wheels but camber and caster were both fine. Total toe was off by 0.1 degree. The point is my alignment was NOT completely out of whack. Even the tech said my alignment did not cause the wear on the tires to the level they were at. Danbury just didn't want to service their customer. Needless to say, I will never return to the Danbury location. read more

I have been to this business a handful of times over the last 3 years and have been very pleased with the service and happy to see that the same men have been working there over that period of time. That tells me they are well established and this is reassuring. They are always respectful, knowledgeable and I trust their judgement. The employees have always been positive and upbeat, despite their demanding customers who would much rather be somewhere else than dealing with tire problems. I live over 30 minutes from Danbury, but recently found myself driving through the city with a nail in one of my back tires. On a recommendation from Carlos at Extreme Auto Body, I was told to go see Mike at Town Fair to help me out. Mike was extremely helpful and fair. They were able to repair my tire in under 60 minutes, even though it was in the middle of a very busy Saturday. I have mixed feelings about Town Fair Tire as a whole, but I'd certainly recommend the Danbury location for their professionalism and helpfulness. read more

This place is a customer service nightmare. I called in for an appointment to install four tires the next morning. I was told the earliest timeslot was 11:30. Three hours later the car was still outside WITHOUT the new tires! The employee at the front desk was totally unapologetic and could hardly muster an expected completion time. I've Had good experiences here,but today drew the line. I went in to do a tire change over that I've always have done for a couple of years and some new kid named JOSEPH had the worst customer service. New kid there, never seen him there before all the times I've went there and he charged me a different price . I always payed $53 out the door for a tire change over and he wanted to charge me more. I was furious!!!My name is already in the system with the past services I have done with my vehicles there . But still his ignorance still told me a higher price . This is my second set of tires I've bought from TFT at the Brookfield store. The first set seemed to wear a little faster than I anticipated. I returned there the other day and spoke to Ed about it. He also sold me the first set. I decided to get a second set with winter coming. He worked with me and gave me a fair price adjustment towards the new tires. I also had a "road hazard" claim this past summer. Ed handled it quickly and painlessly without any issues. I felt that Ed and TFT treated me well and really wanted me to be satisfied. read more

Don't ever buy tires from these people, they don't have certified employees working on your car.. this is my 3rd tire from them that has blown up not even a mile from leaving the facility.. on Danbury rd in the Hawley plaza in Danbury ct, take your money els were believe me the simple task of buying tires and mounting them back on your car is not possible here.. I don't know what you gals are complaining about. Read the fine print ladies!-EVERY shop has 'hidden' costs, your job to research what's included & what's not before you buy. I did not find any 'hidden' charges on my bill! While I'm not happy about having to put new tires on a car I want to get rid of in less than a year, but one tread ripped, exposing steel, especially hazardous with my commute. HUGE PROPS to Town Fair Tire Danbury for squeezing me in (same day appointment, no hassle, very polite-I worked with Mike) They gave me me a fair price (18" tires for an AWD SUV and they were fine with me only replacing the back 2 if they were the same brand tire, which they quickly obtained from another store for me, same day!) & doing an excellent job with the alignment. Which I told my body guy last summer I needed after some twit on 84 hit me! While the body work was spot on, HE NEVER DID THE ALIGNMENT. My car was even worse than I thought! I ask a LOT of questions and Town Fair gave me a diagram & reviewed how OFF my car really was!! AND it contributed to my tires getting more worn & unevenly too. Now I can take my hands off the wheel and cruise in a perfect straight line, and the new tires made a big difference too! Your snow tire change over is not free. There is a hidden cost they don't tell you about. In order for your tires to roll without bouncing down the road, you need to pay an extra charge. So check with your local service station and they may be cheaper. read more

Needed to replace 4 tires on my vehicle. Did some research on www.townfairtire.com and had a set of tires in mind I wanted to purchase. Came into the store and was greeted right away by Ed who assisted me. The tires I wanted were not in stock, I could have ordered them but it would have taken a day or 2 to come in. I needed tires that day as one of my current tires had a slow leak. I told the associate my price range and he showed me all available comparable tire options to the tires I wanted online. Within 15 minutes I made a decision, I was told that it could possibly take 90 minutes for the mounting/balancing of the tires and an alignment. I received an automatic text message from Town Fair to inform me that the work on my car was complete and it was ready for pickup after only an hour. I've been a customer there for many years. Lat year, I needed tires on all four of my vehicles. Bill and Leighton both worked hard to get me the best deal possible. I couldn't be happier with the selections - from tires on my Trailblazer and Jeep Liberty SUV's to the two Subaru AWD's. Recently had a bearing replaced on the trailblazer and immediately noted that the car just didn't sound or feel right. A quick visit to Town Fair and they found the problem immediately. 45 minutes and a rotation/balance/alignment later, the difference in the way the truck drives is amazing. Extremely disappointed with this business. I got 4 new tires for my 2013 BMW x3 on September 2nd. This past weekend, the right front tire blew from normal driving. (Only 24 days later.) I had my car towed to Ridgefield BMW because I thought there was something wrong with the rim of the car (I thought there was no way a tire could just pop on its own after only 24 days of normal driving). Good thing they are "guaranteed" for 30 days... After finding out that my rim is PERFECTLY FINE, I call Town Fair Tire first thing this morning so they can order a replacement tire. They inform me that the tire will be at the shop by 2pm this afternoon. They don't have a towing service to get my car from Ridgefield to their location-- (how can you guarantee your tires for 30 days and then not have any resources available so when they pop you are stuck and have no tow service to use?!?!?!) I decided to take the wheel & popped tire off my car, put it in the trunk of a friends car, and transport it that way. I drop off the wheel with the popped tire around 1:45pm, so the new tire can be put on at 2pm, when it arrives. At 3:30pm I go to pick up my wheel with the new tire on it, and they told me that for the past 2 hours, they were just trying to REPAIR my broken popped tire and that it could not be repaired. They then say that they don't have my exact tire and they can order it but it won't be here until tomorrow! BUT I CALLED THIS MORNING SO THAT THIS WOULD ALREADY BE DONE. After much arguing and confusion, they now say that they have the tire in stock, but want to charge me $60 to balance the tire! It is not my fault that the tire popped, it is not my fault I needed a new tire after 24 days, so I am not paying any additional money to get the tire re-balanced! I now have to take the new tire to a different shop to mount it and balance it, and then still take the wheel and tire back to my car to be put on. I already had to skip classes to do this (I'm a college student) and now I am going to be late for work. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND. I HATE THIS PLACE!!!!!! read more

Purchased tires here and upon receiving my vehicle back I noticed my prescription medication missing from the car. When I picked up my car it was around 8pm so when I tried to call after they were closed. I called the next day and they directed me to call back the following day in order to speak to the manager. I called back and spoke to the same employee Chris because the manager wasn't there yet again. What Chris told me was that he asked the employee who drove my car if he took my medication and he said no. Chris said there was nothing the company could personally do for me because the employee said he didn't take them. Spending $500+ you would think the company would've had a manager or someone with actually authority to investigate and meditate the situation. Bottom line- if you decide to go here make sure you empty your car unless you want your things taken without getting them back or the person punished! read more

The absolutly suck!!! First I had to wait 5 min for the person sitting behind the desk to off his fat a$$, and he made it seem like I was an in-convince. Then he told me it ws gonna take 2-3 hrs for a rotation and alignment which I thought was a joke. Then I never got a message that my car was ready. After 4 hrs of waiting I had to call them and to my surprise it wasn't even the store it was a call center who contacted them to see if I can pick it up. I asked y I never received a message to say my car was ready and they said their internet was down. I asked y nobody could call me directly since they had my number and I just a blank stair. So I grabbed my keys and left. Go figure I got to my car and they left the headlights on. Please do yourselves a favor and use another location!!! read more

I gave this Town Fair Tire location 5 stars because they are as good as it gets. The store staff is knowledgable, they are polite and even fun. I have never been in a tire place where the employees enjoy each other and are glad to be there. I needed tires, I was given the sale price which was less than what Costco wanted, mounted and balanced my four tires, I of course had them do an alignment. When they were done, they explained the alignment results with me, and the car drives straight as an arrow.
