I had a wheel alignment on July 9, 2026. I couldn't ask for better service from clerk #619. He explained everything before and after my car was serviced. I was told to come back for a calibration after 25 miles which was the next day. July 10. I did not have an appointment and Steven was at the counter when I walked in at 8:10am. They were very busy so I prepared myself to be there for some time. Much to my surprise I am in my vehicle writing this review at 8:33am. Thank you Steven and all workers at this location. In my 2 day encounter I saw the employees handle every customer with the utmost respect. I took my sister's car in for new tires and wheels. She had talked to sales guy , Kevin. He gave her a quote. When I got there Kevin was "off" that day. Another guy said the quote did not include installation fee, did not include the cost of tire sensors ($49 each tire). This added about $400 to the initial quote. Then they said one tire had a broken lug nut and they couldn't get it off the car!!! How is it that a tire repair shop does not know how to get a broken lug nut off?? I had to take the car to another repair shop up the street to get the broken lug nut off (cost another $110). Now the "low tire" indicator is lit on the dashboard. Apparently the $200 sensors are not working correctly. The guy at Town Fair said "it will go off after you drive for awhile". That didn't happen! Had to take the car back the next day. Another guy comes out with a hand- held device and adjusted something under the dashboard to reset the sensors. Apparently, he's the only one who knew to do this! Also, I was told by a friend that the tire sensors on the old tires could have been used on the new tires and I didn't need to purchase new sensors for $200!!!! Ugh!!! Buyers Beware!!!! read more

Locations differ greatly. Some have annoyed me to high hell, this one has most certainly not. The gentleman at the desk laughed at the experience I had just had at Monro down the street. I mentioned how they were supposedly going to need the truck for half a day to do a proper alignment. "Dude..." he muttered, as if to suggest he felt bad about what I just went through, and that there was no way in hell that my truck couldn't be aligned in under an hour. Indeed, I was ready to go in that amount of time. They showed me the printout, showing one parameter slightly out of spec, but only because of a totally rusted frozen bolt. Not their fault, it's a 9 year old truck with some kinks here and there. Still, the result was the true measure... straight as arrow, smooth as silk. And while I didn't watch the tech do his work, I know it was a tough alignment. New struts and a small lift kit were put in, necessitating the alignment in the first place, and they handled it in a breeze. $70 well spent. read more

Staff here is always friendly and professional. Most recently, I had a relatively minor issue with tire pressure after a rotation. I returned the next morning (a Saturday, no less) without an appointment and explained that I needed to make a 3-hour drive within the hour. They slipped me right in without hesitation and took care of the problem. Terence (who helped me in between his other assignments) was great - he fixed the issue and was so gracious - had a total "can do" attitude and didn't act like he minded the interruption in the slightest. If I could give less than a 1star review I would! Worst customer service ever by Josh the manager! I came in with a flat on a run flat tire and decided to save money before vacation and rather than purchase another run flat tire I'd purchase a full set of all season tires just for backup measures. My original tires were not offered nor given back to me. Most honest tire shops would normally return your tires back to you but, this was clearly not the case at this place! Once I reached my home I realized that my old tires were not returned so, I called to speak with the salesman. The salesman said that he would have to "check and see" if he still had my tires available. After a hold on the phone, I was told that they were still in the location. I asked that they would please be held for me as I had a vacation coming up, as well as a family emergency and work so I would be tied up and would definitely pick my tires up as soon as I possibly could(had my tires been returned initially this could all have been avoided). Time passes and as the week goes by I am playing phone tag with the salesman and other employees, assuring them that I will pick the tires up within a week as my work schedule and the store hours were conflicting. Finally, I receive a phone call from the manager Josh stating that he could not hold the tires as there was not enough space and that he would have to place them "out back". (Mind you, this place is a house for tires, and they were only holding 3 aside for me). My tires were in great condition besides the one that caught a flat. I told the manager Josh that I was literally on my way from work to pick up the tires and he responded with "I can't hold them any more, I'll place them out back" horrible customer service! Josh was extremely rude and had no concern to help a paying customer. Needless to say I arrive at the location directly after the time of close and there were NO TIRES! Valued at $550.00 a tire, what establishment would place 3 tires in the back to have stolen?! I called the next day to speak with Josh the manager and was told that the establishment was not responsible for what may have happened to my property after they left the establishment. I was also told by Josh that he would check the cameras and get back to me about whether or not they were placed outside and IF someone had taken them. I never received a phone call back, I spoke with corporate and 3wks later I am still waiting to get this issue resolved! I am a paying customer and did not show patronage to be swindled out of my hard earned money. I strongly believe that I am not the only customer who has not had their original tires returned after a service. This location is a scam! Don't give them your money! read more

If I could give this place six stars I would! I stopped by there after trying to get Pep Boys down the road to acknowledge me as a new, waiting customer. My experience here was so opposite. Angel R greeted me at the door with a smile and a real desire to listen, and to help me with my SUV. I wanted my tire pressure checked because my sensor light was staying on and it was riding rough. Angel quickly picked up his handy tool, went outside and within minutes returned. It seemed I had low tire pressure on one side. He sent my Murano back to the mechanic, Brandon L. I waited a short time and Brandon called me over to say that he added air and checked the wear on all the other tires. He assured me that everything was good, and that I didn't have to worry about a flat tire. I was impressed when he said Town Fair would always make sure my tires are well-maintained throughout their continued use, and would recommend replacement only when needed. This defined my confidence and trust in this facility. As I was ready to leave, Jeffrey T called me over and asked if everything was to my satisfaction. I couldn't have been happier! I recently got a brand new set of tires from the Manchester location (on 2/13/13). When I got these tires I also got a full warranty including road hazard. This Tuesday as I am driving My tire pressure sensor starts to blink (mind you because I work from home I had not put even 200 miles on these new tires at this point). I pull over and get out of the car to check the tires, which are fine and double check what the blinking light means in the car manual to find that it is a problem with a TMPS sensor. I call Manchester and to make sure this would be covered under warranty (they said it would) and asked if I could bring it in to the Newington location. He said it shouldn't be a problem. I called the Newington location and explained the issue, they said not a problem and I could bring it in without an appointment as they could fix it in a few minutes. When I arrived at the Newington location it was a completely different story. I talk to the man at the counter who feels the need to tell me what the light being on means "You probably drove over a nail, your tires are low" To which I replied that I had checked the pressure and they were not low and the flashing light indicates a sensor problem to which he then replied "Well that's not what the lights mean, but I guess we can check it for you, should take an hour or two. But if it's a sensor then that's 100 to 150 bucks a sensor." Now first of all someone on the phones said they could check it immediately, secondly, I just got the tires and the receipt clearly indicates that they put on new tire sensors and shows a guarantee of all work to which he says "well that's not covered" even though both locations just told me over the phone that it was covered and his response to that was "well who did you talk to? I'm sure it's just flat, you probably just didn't notice." Now, there was a gentleman in front of me with a similar issue who was helped immediately. I was talked down to like a child who didn't know her own car. Eventually they agreed to check the tire pressure and sensors... the tire pressure was (of course) fine and they reset the computer. I told them this would do nothing. Fast forward to today (after not driving the car at all yesterday) and the light comes back on while I am driving. Now I have to head back to the Manchester location and hope that they will honor the warranty that was paid for. I did not appreciate the way I was treated at Town Fair just for asking them to do their job and do what they told me they would do when I talked with them on the phone not 30 minutes before his encounter. I would never recommend this location. I am hoping that Manchester resolves this issue and that I will have better things to say about them, but I am very annoyed that I have to take more time out of my schedule to fix a problem that should have been fixed two days ago. This review would be zero stars if it could be. Absolutely horrible customer service. UPDATE: So I went to Manchester to get the this looked at. Come to find out the front driver's side wheel had a bit of a slow leak (which I wouldn't have been able to find myself, and it certainly wasn't anywhere close to "flat") but the sensor's had probably been put off again because the person who told me he just "topped off" the air in my tires on Tuesday in Newington over inflated my tires, which should be at 33psi, one was almost normal (the one with the leak), one was at 35 and two were at 37! In Manchester they were very nice and apologized profusely for my treatment in Newington (which I only mentioned to them to explain the problem, while telling them they didn't need to apologize as they had all been very nice to me in that location). So far they have charged me nothing to fix the issue, hopefully it stays fixed this time. (Also the sensor price I was told in Newington was completely off...) I wish I could remove stars from this review for Newington Town Fair Tire but it was already at 1 star. Just an awful experience with them and I will never ever go back. If you are looking at this review thinking about getting your tires there, I would strongly suggest going anywhere else. read more

Everywhere I went they took a quick look and said that I needed a new tire, here they took the tire off the rim and inspected and said all I needed was a patch. Saved me a few hundred. I've been buying wheels and tires there for the past couple years and have never ran into any issues. I also had a few flat tires that they fixed right away! I bought 4 tires from them and they said they would arrive by 9:30 the next morning. Went the next afternoon around 1:30p and they still weren't there, so I left my car there and would pick it up before they close. Once I picked it up the tires were on and I drove around the block and realized my car was pulling hard to the right. I brought it back and they told me the guys had "forgot" to do the alignment and it would be another 30 minutes. The guy who came in behind me coincidentally had his alignment forgotten as well. Just make sure you get a print out of your alignment afterwards, cause more then likely they aren't doing it! read more

I went to the Newington CT Town Fair Tire on 4/6/21 for a pair of lawn mower tires. I was told the tires would not be in until the following Monday, 4/12. I called them on Tuesday. 4/13 and was told they were on the truck and would be there before 2 pm. I called again on Friday 4/16 and was told there were no deliveries that week and they would contact me when they arrived. Did not hear back from them so I called again on Tuesday, 4/20. I was told they had one tire available and would have the second on Thursday, 4/22. I called Thursday and the tires were in. I had to drop off the rims and go back several hours after the tires were mounted to pick them up. If it takes Town Fair 17 days to get lawn mower tires maybe they should not advertise they sell them. I could have bought them online for less and have delivered to my house in 3 days. I will need tires for my jeep before the year is over, however Town Fair will be the last place I will consider. Poor customer service and no follow up. read more

They mounted the tires, but couldn't do the alignment because they supposedly couldn't get a bolt off that my mechanic said any alignment shop should be equipped to remove. Got it removed by my mechanic, came back to do the alignment and it took three hours after promising that it would only take one! It is not worth the hassle and the expense. read more

I recently brought my P/U truck to the town fair tire in Newington CT. The assistant manager came outside to inspect my tires. He determined that I had adequate tread remaining and suggested a tire rotation, alignment and balancing. This I was told would take about an hour. I paid for the service and called for a ride to work. Three hours later I received the text that the truck was all set. They gave me an alignment sheet and I left. I pulled out of the shop and quickly realized that something was wrong. I turned around and drove back to the shop. I asked the assistant manager if they drive the vehicle after they perform the work. He said no. I stated if they had they could see that something was wrong. I asked him to step outside and asked why the tires were not rotated. He seemed to agree after inspecting the tire that he suggested be rotated. I left the vehicle and called for another ride to work. This time, I did not receive a text that the vehicle was done. I got another ride back to the shop and picked it up just before closing. I walked out to the vehicle and noticed the tires were still not rotated. I decided to see if I could drive the truck. It was very obvious that something was still wrong. I turned around and went back to talk to the assistant manager. The store was closing and he asked me to return the next day. I asked why the tires weren't rotated. He asked me how would I know they weren't. When pressed about my inability to drive the vehicle, he stated it must be a bent rim. I asked how he could balance a bent rim. He couldn't respond and asked that I return for a third try in the morning. I came back the next day and asked for the manager. The manager came forward and I realized that he was at the shop the night before and witnessed the fiasco I was going through. He never said a word. He came out, looked at the tires and said he would take care of it. I asked him how long it would take. He gave the customary one hour response. Two and a half hours later, I got the call that the truck was all set. I drove outta the lot and although not as bad, it was obvious that something still wasn't right. I decided to get a second opinion and went to the town fair tire in New Britain. Jose, the assistant manager quickly diagnosed a defective tire and stated that the truck could not be driven until replaced. Jose introduced me to Dana the manager. He and I worked out a deal for new tires. He and Jose were professional, courteous and turned a bad situation into a positive one for both parties. The assistant manager and manager in Newington could have simply stated the obvious about the tire. had they been upfront they could have sold me the tires. Instead they wasted a day and a half of my time, took my money and did not perform the work that they charged me for. I wonder if this has happened to others. I can highly recommend this Town Fair Tire location (Berlin Turnpike in Newington CT). I have been bringing my own cars as well as my family's cars down to this place for any tire/wheel needs for years now. They are always super friendly, reasonably priced, and fairly quick on installation (sometimes theres a lot of customers, sometimes not so its tough to judge wait times if you dont make an appointment). Even though I now live in Boston, I wait to purchase wheels and tires until I visit my family down in Connecticut so I can deal with this shop. The guys at this location know their stuff and are very helpful. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Chris when I am was looking for a set of new wheels and he helped me out choosing a nice set, getting them installed as well as offering winter tire changeover and flat replacement. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Had an appointment for a Saturday at 12pm, called me at 11:30 pm to tell me to come in at 2pm because they couldn't take me then, even though I had the appt. a week prior. Went in at 2pm stood in the lobby for 15 min while the employees goofed off and then finally acknowledged that I was standing there. Asked what they could do for me so I told them I was there to have tires put on that I had ordered. The employee left, came back 15 min later and told me the tires didn't come in and that I had to come back next week. Came back next week the following Saturday. They put the tires on but refused to finish the balance and do the alignment because a pin was "frozen." They sent me to a shop that didn't even exist anymore to have it done. Came back told them they sent me to a shop that was closed and basically told me that they couldn't do anything for me. So I had brand new tires put my car with only 2 tires aligned and balanced. I asked for a refund for the 85$ alignment that wasn't even finished and they gave me an attitude about it. I finally got my money back and walked out. Called up Manchester Honda right after who told me to bring it right down, they did it in 20 min and I was out the door. They also gave me a print out of the "alignment" town fair tire did before Honda did their work and the tech basically told me they didn't even do it. I will never go back. read more
