So disappointed in the "service" I received here. Was given false information from the person who "helped" me. I have used them many times in the past and have been disappointed with the customer service, wait times but never to the level that I had to endure today. Manager had an extremely bad attitude. The guy made a rude comment about a customer who was overweight after she left. Was loudly complaining about the cost of new credit card machines, exclaiming he wasn't going "to pay all that money to make it more convenient for you guys" referring to the customers standing there. read more

I called today to see how long the wait is to repair tires that I purchased here a couple of years ago for over $1,000. The guy on the phone said that the wait is not bad. I drove here and the wait was almost 3 hours. When I asked why I was told that the wait is not bad, the guys behind the counter laughed and said... the wait is not bad - it was 6 hours earlier. Ha ha ha. Their sarcasm, misrepresentation and laughing has cost them a long time customer. Beware!! 1992 Camry in for rotation. Specs call for 28lbs tire pressure & 76lbs torgue on lugs. Why, why, why do the staff here insist on pumping up tires to 35lbs and torquing lug nuts to 100lbs. When I told one of the sales people that they can warp the rotors or break the lugs, he insulted my intelligence by saying, "only if you use an air gun". (100lbs is 100lbs). Also directed and repeated to two sales people to leave the keys in the ashtray. I would pick up after closing. I insisted that one of them write it on the order. The keys were retrieved in the shop. Had my tires rotated. They remounted them without caring to remove corrosion, 3 of 4 tires were leaking air.

Tires bought 2 yrs ago..good tires went to ga twice. No problem...still now great thread.. no issues took it to them ..bought 2 new tires from tft..had them rotate back to front . Put new tires in bk. Then they couldn't finish front end alignment..bc they said needed camber bolts loosened..ok. they rotated tires and now my tires that they rotated to front are looking air every other day..Never had a problem with them. Ever!!.so I bring it in for them to fix tires. No charge..and after 6 hours without my car they say that tires are no good. Did NOTHING. so I pd for alignment 73.00. Biught 2 new tires from them. Bill 222.00$ and they did absolutely nothing!!!° read more

I would give no stars if I could. I am shocked this place is still in business. We brought our car in the get a new tire, not expecting to take that long, we didn't bring a second car. We figured if anything, they are located in a plaza with plenty of stores around to kill time. Ha, so you would think! We actually went bowling, grocery shopping and out to eat and when we came back, they still were not done with our car. It took them 5 hours to change 1 tire! Unbelievable!!! Not to mention, they were rude and I ended up going off on one of the jerks that worked there because as I went to ask him about our car, in mid sentence, he walked away. Never again! Roger is my go-to guy for all things tires. He earned my trust 10 years ago when I was buying my first set of tires and rims in Middletown by patiently explaining what I would need and giving me a fair price. I shopped around and no one could beat it. Most importantly, Roger somehow makes tire stuff less of a hassle. Most places tell you about an issue, getting you all worked up over something you can't control, then fix it and come to find out it's no big deal. Roger fixes the nail in your tire, then gives you an update at the end when everything is all set. No drama, in and out! read more

Very professional and straight forward service. I have needed my tires replaced, plugged, and patched a few times within a year and I have found this location to be reliable. Every time estimation I have received has always been accurate and reasonable. None of the employees ever tried to push any sales on me. I'm not sure if the Wallingford location did an overhaul on their staff or if the reviews for this location caused corporate to come down on them. Whatever the case, my experience with this location was stellar. Ordinarily I walk into any car related situation with my guard up expecting to be taken advantage of. It was a breath of fresh air to talk to these guys. The manager went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and the employees I interacted with were polite and helpful. There are other locations that are like the one star reviews, but Wallingford is NOT one of them. Maybe Yelp can help them see the light as well. Wallingford, keep up the good job boys! read more

Just got two new tires put on from here yesterday. Based upon my experience alone, and this is my first time at this location, I am very satisfied. The inside is clean and big, I was greeted right away, assisted right away (I placed an online order for an appointment and all they have to do is look up and confirm) and it took LESS than 90 minutes for them to put the tires on. They are a lot more friendly than town fair tire in new britain, and extremely helpful. I will be back for tires from this location. Happy I didn't listen to some of the other reviews here. read more

Absolutely terrible terribly horrible horrific tremendously awful service. Called them on a Wednesday to set up a tire appointment to get all four tires changed and aligned and the works. I get there on the Saturday and guess what? They don't have my tires there. They ordered only one instead of four. Desperately needing my tires changed that weekend they got me different ones ("for the same price") but then charged me extra for the alignment. My appointment time was at 10:30. It wasn't until 11:45 that they even put my car in the shop. I asked how much longer it would be they said "half hour". It was another hour before they called my name. The original tires I ordered had a mail in rebate. The ones that I actually got put on didn't. They screwed me out of $50 more dollars on the alignment and another $50 because I didn't my rebate. Needless to say I will NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER in the entirety of my existence EVER use anY Town Fair Tire ever again. BOYCOTT TOWN FAIR TIRE THEY ARE AWFUL read more

If I could rate this lower I would I dropped my car off 2 nights ago to get a new tire there was or still is a nail in it .. I picked my car up last night not thinking anything of it it was cold nd dark already about a mile home the tire light came back on .. I go back there 3 of the guys there tell me it's fine and that I need to take it to the dealer just to have the sensor redid .. this morning I get a call asking em if I was near my car .. already been driving it last night to my kids activities and this morning 30 mins to work .. they asked me to look at the tire because the one that was suppose to go on my car was in the shop!!!! They never even looked at my car told me it was done and then swore up and down on my family's life that it was fixed and safe to drive!!!!! Worst ever read more

Called on a Friday for 4 tires ok $490 for everything, not bad, went the next day a totally different story $690 !! I stated I had called the day before and was quoted $490, they said it must have been for cheap tires and if so,I had to wait until 1pm so they can pick them up from their warehouse mind you it is 8 am Really!! ok so I ended up with 4 cooper tires, so I though, within 5 minutes, I changed my mind and asked for the invoice,while viewing the Invoice they had a totally different tire brand OTANI Tires ! really, NEVER AGAIN, rip offs!! I can't say enough for the service at the Wallingford Town Fair Tire! I stopped there as my low tire pressure indicator was on, and asked if someone could take a look. I made an appointment this morning for a tire repair. When I got there, one of the workers came outside to look at the tire. He took a look at the screw still in the tire and said "I don't do plugs", he then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't fix it and that I would need a whole new set of tires. He then said I could go to the repair shop and maybe if I asked nicely to one of the younger men, they would fix it for me. Not only was he demeaning, but he was rude, not helpful, and a terrible salesman. Avoid going here if possible. I saved myself $1,000 by having my younger brother patch the tire for me. I'm only giving 1 star so I can write this review, but I would actually give it 0 stars if I could. read more

I got new tires on my 9' tall work van at the North Haven location. They informed me they could not do the alignment on my van and would have to take it elsewhere. I called the Wallingford location they told me if I wouldn't mind bringing the van down do they could make sure it could fit in their bay to do the alignment. I drove the van down to their location they told me they could do the alignment, but the wait would be about an hour. I told them I would have to come back the next day. When i arrived the next day, they got all the paperwork done, and said it would be about 40 mins. It was only 5 minutes and the sales associate told me they did have the specifications to do the alignment. They refunded my money and apologized for the inconvenience. I told the sales associate who I spoke with the day before, "you told me it could fit in the bay, and you could do the alignment no problem." His response to me was,"I said it would fit in the bay." Then he leaves and takes care of another customer. I didn't get tires here, but i would advise being very specific on what you need. I wasted 3 hours, which could have been solved with a phone call. read more

Do yourself a favor don't ever go back to town fair tires they are terrible on telling you about they warrantee you go to store to store nobody could tell you nothing about it if you don't have your receipt and I'm a businessman I purchased a lot of tires from them all the suddenly you don't find warrantees on your tires as a construction worker that's why they always tell you you got to come back and we toured your wheels that way the warranty is not worth it read more

Wish I could give them no stars. Went in at noon, asked about new tires and after getting little guidance I landed on a tire. Then I asked how long because I could either wait or be picked up. He said about an hour and a half. So I walked to lunch. Ate and returned and hour and fifteen later. And waited...and waited. Three hours later I was on my way. Not a thank you for your business, just the tech coming in to hand me my key after finding me, not by calling my name, but by yelling out the make if my car. When I asked about alignment he handed me a piece of paper and said "I didn't do it... Here are the results" and proceeded to walk away. These clowns will never see me again. They are slow, service is underwhelming, zero communication and updates and a whole lot of nothing going on with a bunch of guys standing in several empty bays while one guy walked at a pace deserving of 5 dollars an hour to put the tires on my car. Save yourself a few hours and go to Firestone. At town fair you may pay less for the tires, but you also get less common courtesy and respect. Stunning that they are still in business. I got an alignment and a free follow-up after 25 miles and at no point did I feel they were taking long. The staff is very friendly, informative and helpful. I felt like they were really trying to make my trip there fast and easy. I also bought four new tires and they realigned the wheels fast and accurately. I have never had a positive experience with townfair. I also have a few friends have issues with them. Examples.. I got a nail in my tire. Left car with them and I went to movies. Returned went in, got my keys went out and started my car. It was loud. The exhaust system was broken. I took a look under the car and saw that the pipe was bent and broken. I was baffled as to how this could of happened. As I looked closer I realized it must have been from the car lift. I went back in and started asking questions. They would not own up to breaking it. The manager had a smerk on his face and said... "it's an old car and rusting, this was like this when you dropped it off". Rest assured it was not. I would have heard the hole in the pipe. Also the exhaust was about 10 months old. Another example. Many years ago a buddy of mine dropped his car off. New tires put on. As he was driving away one of the tires flew off. They did not tighten the lugs ... they did pay for damage and owned up. Another friend dropped his car and the person helping h I m was nice to him until he picked up his car and the we're very rude. This Also happened to me at a prior visit.. It just seems like the people there need a bit of training anf a lesson in good service. Stay away from this place. read more

I will not use this Town Fair Tire again. Bought expensive tires with life time free rotation. Went in a while back with a slow leak (screw in one tire) to have fixed. (Supposed to have free flat repairs as well.) They would not fix the flat supposedly because to close to the edge. Asked to rotate the tires while there but would not rotate due to the screw in the tire. Local repair shop fixed the flat with a plug for $10. (A few years before this had another screw in similar location, they would not fox and local garage did it cheaply). Went in more recently for a supposedly free tire rotation. This time they would not rotate the tires because the OEM lugs swell and are not all the same size. Went to another town fair nearby and they noted that some of the lugs swell but did the rotation with no problems. If you like town fair tire, there are plenty nearby but stay away from this one. read more
