I did have some small issues around housekeeping. We were there for four nights. Unfortunately we missed the first cleaning since we didn't leave until 5pm or so. We communicated that we ran out of conditioner and hopefully they could at least do a refill on a day that we wouldn't normally get cleaning. Nothing the next day. then the following day we left around noon and I asked to make sure we would get the room serviced; I was told that it would be. Got back to the room and nothing done. I was kinda irked for a few reasons. Don't tell me it will be cleaned if it won't. If a room missed cleaning for a few days, it would be nice if they could offer an off day cleaning. We informed them that we were out of conditioner, that should have been a follow up to get resolved.

The employees are very nice, especially Carlos. We stayed in a 2 queen with a sofa bed room. The room was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave as well. I love a room with a microwave, it's not very common anymore. The beds were comfy, pillows were a little too soft but that's okay. No issues with cleanliness. Loved the complimentary breakfast. They have a waffle station, bagels, toasts, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, meat, and potatoes. They also serve coffee, water, and juice. They also have a mini mart where you can purchase things. Another plus is free parking. The only downside is what all the other reviews mentioned was the paper thin walls, but we didn't have any issues with over excessive noise. Otherwise, great hotel.

I'm a little torn at how to rate this Courtyard by Marriott location…read more On one hand, my room was outdated and the elevators to the second floor (this location only has two floors) is not right by the lobby, but rather towards the middle of each hallway, so not very intuitive. The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here. The most convenient thing is that Porto's is across the street. Trust me when I say, do not drive over to Porto's. Take advantage that you're at the hotel across the street and walk over to save time! There's also lots of uncovered parking on both sides of the property, so you can pick where to park to be closer to get to your room, though it's an open lot, so anyone can come in and out and there's no shelter from the rain. The lobby area has been renovated and is really nice if you need the space and quietness to do some work, wait for your room to be ready, or just to hang out. Staff was pretty awesome too. We had to blow up some balloons and they allowed us the use of an empty meeting room so that we do not disturb anyone in the lobby.

My kids enjoyed them so much. The hotel room and amenities met my expectation for a hotel. We did have some issue with the hot water in our bathroom. But I was able to call the front desk, and they were able to send someone to fix it the same day so finally, hot water in the shower! I wanted to talk about how AMAZING the shuttle service is. So they provide a complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. My kids actually enjoyed the shuttle service and it worked out really well with timing for us to travel to the amusement parks without worrying about driving/parking. They have a phone number you can text to make/cancel reservations, they do require advanced notice for this. Each time, they do send a confirmation text so I know I will be picked up. The shuttle may run on time or a little bit late or even a little early, but overall, it was a good experience with it. We always arrived to the stop early enough so we can board. The shuttle does allow strollers without issue so that is great. I think the biggest perk of this place is the shuttle service. Also, parking at the hotel is easy. There's plenty of parking and they do not charge for parking if we are a hotel guest. They provide a parking pass to use during our stay. In the evening, the spots closer to the hotel are taken but still plenty of parking. This is a great location in Buena Park, it is very close to Portos as well so that's a great bonus!

To top it all off, one evening we needed a Band-Aid for a minor injury. We called the front desk and were told someone would bring one to our room. We waited over 30 minutes, but no one ever came. I tried calling the front desk again, but there was no answer. I eventually had to go downstairs myself, only to find the receptionist on her phone. She then told me, "Oh, we don't have any." My question is, if you knew you didn't have any, why didn't anyone call us back to let us know instead of having us wait? I was also surprised that a hotel did not have even a basic first aid kit or a single Band-Aid available for guests. The following morning, we asked the restaurant staff if they had a Band-Aid, and they also said they didn't have any. I found it hard to believe that both the hotel and the restaurant lacked something as basic as a Band-Aid or a simple first aid kit. It was very frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, the room itself also did not meet the standard I've come to expect. There were several cleanliness and maintenance issues, including dirty curtains, a noticeable buildup of dust on top of the headboard, a missing soap dispenser, a slimy shower floor, and a broken toilet seat. I have photos documenting each of these issues. I brought these concerns to the attention of the front desk, but I was disappointed that I was not offered a room change, an upgrade, or any meaningful resolution. To make matters worse, I was also almost charged twice for valet on my last day. Had I not noticed the duplicate charge, I would have been overcharged by $28. I've always enjoyed staying at this property, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I chose this hotel again (even though it cost mosre than other Hilton) because of the wonderful experiences I've had during my previous three stays, but this visit fell far below those expectations.

There were 2 adults and 3 kids in our group and we got the larger room, which was plenty of room for all of us. At a rate of about $250, it wasn't cheap but also very doable for such a large group. The room had a little kitchen area with 2 barstools and there's a mini fridge in the room. The bathroom products are nice, its a boysenberry vanilla fragrance - that was a very nice touch. The bathroom looks and feels very dated. Parking was easy. There were spots to park but not very many extra. There were events going on so i'm sure that was why limited parking. The lobby is very nice and spacious. You can tell its been redone and now its more modern but still has the farmhouse feel. The lobby furniture is plentiful and comfy and the hotel bar is also right there in lobby. The restaurant Thirty Acres is right behind the bar and there's a tiny cafe that serves Starbucks coffee and they have their own little retail store too, which is nice and convenient. The walk to Knott's is just a few minutes. We looked at pool, basic, has a lot of lounge chairs. There's a fitness center but we didn't get a chance to use or check it out. Bar was great! They have Happy Hour and their drinks are yummy and reasonably priced. Worth it to come to this bar instead of getting drinks in the park because those have become pricey as h@ll!! The bartenders were super friendly. Would return if they did some type of extra discount or special.

The front desk people were friendly and the location has some eateries shops and a Trader Joe's almost right next door, as well as a Costco behind that. Despite the location being on a fairly busy street, the soundproofing seemed really good here as I did not hear any traffic noise while sleeping (I did close the heavy blackout curtain) and it seemed nice and quiet. We got the large one King 'bedroom' suite, which has the bedroom completely separate with a door, from the outside area with the bathroom, full size kitchen and queen sized sofabed. This is great if you want two separate rooms. The kitchen was really large as well, with marble type countertops and even a large kitchen island. There seems to be plenty of parking here and we could even park our car so that we could see it from the room. The breakfast was standard Homewood Suites, ie., better than a lot of included breakfasts at other hotels. Compared to another Homewood that I stayed at recently near Disneyland, it's like night and day! This one is so much better. It's decent, it's not that bad and it's near walking distance to some good places - Knotts Berry is a 15 min walk but we drove there instead being like a good 1-2 min drive. Medieval Times was like a block away (Cable Guy was filmed there) but maybe next time, along with Porto's SoCal Only exclusive bakery, Target and much others, and Outback Steakhouse is next door. Anyway, the rooms are decent and so was the pool but didn't take a dip even though I did bring some swim shorts. The shower in our room where I stayed could've had some soap bar holder of some sort but didn't. The AC was working though it wasn't scorching hot that week, didn't seem to auto turn off when the temperatures are met so I just turned it off during the evening. Continental breakfast is from 7-9am and we got up early for that and love the waffle machine which you make with the provided batter, corn flakes cereal and Cheerios toast, milk coffee probiotic yogurt. I just use the waffle machines at the desired timer of 2:30 and take it out. Of course the atmosphere is pleasant and the patrons here surely the majority are staying here of course to go to the amusement park no doubt. There is a jacuzzi but it was out of service at the time. There is no gym as I walked around. Free WiFi is ok but I couldn't view our cameras back home so either use the cellular network (we have ATT and is decent speed but faster if you're outside ) or a VPN. And plentiful outlets to plug stuff, hangers, closet ironing board, the short fridge is super cold it could ice your water a bit, and decent tv with ehhh some channels but we didn't watch much. Bathroom door is a sliding door with a hook from the inside and well there isn't much privacy if you're sitting down on the toilet. All in all, it's not grand or luxury but it's decent and no complaints. Would we stay here again? I'd say an absolute yes but maybe for a 2nd time

I even recorded a video and showed it to the front desk before being moved to another room. The replacement room was better, but it still had noticeable cleanliness issues. I ended up staying an additional night because my truck wasn't finished, and although the third room was the cleanest, it still lacked attention to detail. The shower pressure was also very weak. **Spacious Suite, Thoughtful Service, and a Great Stay for Families**…read more We checked in prior to our first visit to Knott's Berry Farm and had a wonderful experience from the start. The staff were friendly and genuinely engaging. Since it was a quieter night, they upgraded us to a queen suite and even gave my two boys a small gift bag with chips, cookies, and bottled water. The boys were absolutely over the moon, which set a great tone for the trip. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations. In addition to the standard offerings (bagels, yogurt, cereal, fruit), there were several warm options including scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, muffin-sized jalapeño cheese soufflés, and a full oatmeal bar. It felt substantial and family-friendly. The queen suite itself was a fantastic layout--essentially two full rooms with two full bathrooms. One room functions as a bedroom and the other as a living room, which made it ideal for our family. Having the extra space (and extra bathroom) made a noticeable difference in comfort and convenience. The blackout window blinds are truly light-blocking and tuck into side tracks, allowing you to make the room very dark--especially helpful when trying to get kids to sleep. On the downside, the AC unit is fairly loud, and there are several LED indicator lights (TV, charging ports, smoke detector) that can't be turned off. While that's not unusual for hotels, the blinking smoke detector light did keep one of our kids awake. Overall, we had a very positive stay at the Fairfield Inn. Between the thoughtful service, spacious suite layout, and solid breakfast, it felt like a great value for families. I anticipate we'll be back.

Let's start with the actual check-in process. When I walked in, I felt a slight attitude from the women that worked behind the counter. I felt like I was bothering them to check in and did not really feel welcomed. The room itself is quite old and small, but did the job as it was only for me and two minor boys. However, there are a few things that I noticed off hand that were just strange and not up to the Marriott standards that I'm used to. First off the TV was very small and did not work. The AC unit was tricky because you could not set an exact temperature you could only set it to cool or hot and warm your room or cool your room down and then be forced to get up and turn it back off. That is absolutely ridiculous. You should be able to be comfortable at a certain temperature in your room as if you were at home. Also, the drape over the window is just a little bit strange and could be a curtain or something a little bit nicer. The actual room came with two queen, beds, a desk, a random chair in the corner. There was no safe in the room, which I guess you can ask for one at the front desk. They also don't clean your room every day so you have to ask for clean towels. However, when I came back a second day and asked for clean towels, I was told they were washing some? That was really strange. I felt like they should always have some handy. Was it really that busy there that they ran out of towels? Also, the guy that came to fix the TV was just really sketchy and I did not understand what he was saying. And why does the TV not have at least a TV guide. In order to watch the TV you have to just constantly hit the channel button and you don't even know what you're trying to find to watch. So I barely used the TV. The bathroom was also something to be left to be desired. They did not give us a tub mat, which was interesting. Luckily my boys are old enough that they don't need one, but I thought that hotels normally give those. Also, there was no extra toilet paper and I had to ask for some at the front desk. They literally give you one makeup wipe, a tiny bar of soap, no lotion and the shampoo and conditioner and body wash are stuck on the wall, which is pretty standard down from some hotels. The hotel lobby is just basic. The breakfast is so so and it's something that's included so we took advantage. The first day we went we were able to sit down and enjoy a little bit of our food. However, the second day was extra crowded and we really just took our food to the room because there was nowhere to sit. We did not use the pool, hot tub or the fitness room so I cannot comment to any of those things. Now I have a question because if I am being charged incidentals? What is that I am being charged for because we did not use anything that we could actually charge. The TV did not have pay per view movies and when we went down to the lobby to get a couple of snacks we had to use our credit card to pay for them. What is the point of paying a deposit if there is nothing to charge to your room? Also the elevator is a little bit scary and quirky. You don't really know if you pushed the button or not and you don't really know which elevator is being called because nothing lights up. I did use the laundry area which is four dollars per wash and four dollars per dry and again had to use my credit card. Again, wondering why I had a credit card on hold for incidentals. With all the other options in the area, I don't think I will come here again. Again the location is fine because it's close to a Korean marketplace as well as a couple of eateries and again Knotts. However, there's other places you could stay that probably do the job better than this place. The owners of this hotel really need to read the reviews and update this place!
