I'm hoping to come back here in a few months maybe and have a better experience, but that just wasn't the case this time :/ My friends and I went to Revere Beach on a Monday and decided to stroll down here for a tiki drink and some food before heading home. So there are two spaces to sit. If you go to the big doors on the corner, you'll find the indoor restaurant with a full bar (Men's and Women's restrooms are in here as well around the corner of the bar). If you keep walking past those doors, there is a patio area that is outside or large garage doors that open so it's inside/outside. We sat at the patio which was great bc there was an awesome breeze in a shaded area. Massive menu. Ordered our beverages first but needed a few minutes to figure out food order. Placed that about 10min later. Our food then came out before our drinks.. okay.. Mind you - it was NOT packed by any means, but maybe they only had one bartender and were understaffed? The tuna tacos were pretty good, but our pork fried rice was ridiculously bland. I don't know if they forgot to use any salt or the soy sauce was super low sodium, but there was honestly no flavor anywhere to be found. At one point I ordered a second drink. Then 10 minutes later my friend ordered a second one. Guess whose came out first.. I then had to order my second drink AGAIN and it happened to come out much quicker (I'm guessing they realized they forgot to put my drink order in to begin with). Listen - cool ambience, the peeps working there were nice, but with the amount of time it took to get drinks, the bland food, and how much you're paying for it all.. I won't be recommending to other friends unfortunately, but I'll be back to see if they improve and hopefully add more stars. read more

I really wanted to like this place! Two friends from the area told me how excited they were to try Kowloon Tiki, so I decided to go with my boyfriend to watch the 2nd half of the World Cup Final (after seeing the sand sculptures). The place was super cute and I liked the tiki/Hawaiian shirts that the bartenders wore. The food and drinks were the problem. My boyfriend ordered first and Don made him an amazing cocktail called the 100 yr Cigar. I then ordered a Between The Sheets and it tasted like I was drinking straight lemon juice. I didn't know if it was the drink itself or the bartender (different bartender - not Don) made it wrong. I sent it back and flagged down Don to make me a 100 yr Cigar like my boyfriend had - delicious! I had two. So... the food. At the suggestion of the bad-drink-bartender, I ordered the Peking Ravioli (potstickers). I had 1 bite and the wrapping was so thick that you could barely taste the insides. My boyfriend suggested just to eat the pork mixture without the wrappings, but... what's the point? They went back as well. Then, my boyfriend ordered the beef and broccoli. Points in the plus column that he could eat something as he is gluten free. Minus points for them cooking the beef to the point of it being dry and shriveled. There was nothing ok about that beef. He ate it, but didn't like it. They took the lemon drink and the potstickers off of the bill, which is good. I know they've only been open for a month, so I hope they can improve. Kawloom Tiki is all about the atmosphere, and that's what makes it worth the visit. The beachside location on Revere Beach creates a fun, laid-back vibe that's good for relaxing with friends or enjoying a summer evening. Between the tropical décor, ocean views, and lively setting, it's easy to just chill and spend time soaking in the ambience. The staff was also very kind and welcoming throughout our visit. Service was friendly, but given just how insanely busy they were it was a bit on the slower side at first. As for the food, it was decent but nothing particularly memorable. Everything was prepared well enough, but there wasn't an anything that really stood out or made me eager to come back specifically for the menu. I highly doubt anything is made fresh or cooked to order but that's also not something you would expect from Kowloon Tiki. A true Northshore person knows! Overall, if you're looking for a fun spot to enjoy the beach atmosphere, have a few drinks, and spend time with good company, Kawloom Tiki is a decent choice. Just come for the vibe first and the food second, and you'll likely have a good time. read more

We were so excited to come here after a long work week. We were told no Asians were cooking so not authentic already . The waitress was great. Service was nice thanks to her . The food : awful . We ordered the burger and tuna tacos after seeing people in front of us eating a pupu platter that looked like it came out of the freezer l. Looked awful. Back to our food : it took forever . It wasn't tasty . It was overpriced . The drinks : ok a bit too sweet and rushed . We live in the area and will not be going back to Kowloon tiki read more

I am shockingly surprised that the reviews aren't more positive. First, our service Olivia was outstanding - she has off the chart customer service skills - she's also very friendly never made us feel rushed! Now about the food....I grew up on Kowloon's - the food here is amazing - the crispness of the chicken finger dough was spectacular - the peeking raves were delicious, the pork fried rice was perfect - we didn't have a bad bite! The only thing I'd change is I'm used to Hawaiian mai tais - theirs is classic old school - I like mine a little more brown but it still was wicked good. 10 outta 10 - we will be back! this was such a let down & i hope they improve ASAP. it's very cute inside, but the food was awful. we ordered quite a few things, and they all had absolutely no flavor. we had to get the salt grinder from the bartender to make things edible. i got an order of chicken fingers with a side of the saugus sauce- that sauce didn't come out for about 45 minutes. by then, everything was cold and we were ready to go. the manager came up 2x to apologize for the delay, which was very nice- but still... it's your most popular sauce so what are we waiting 45 minutes? this food is the same thing they've been doing at Kowloon for YEARS, HOW is it so bad?? the bartenders were very friendly and did a great job though. i know they just opened, but they need to do better.. the food was absolutely gross. and WAY overpriced. read more

Been here 2 times in the last month and will definitely go again. The menu is smaller than the Saugus location but I feel that because of that, the food is way better. We ordered the pupu platter, pork fried rice, General Gau chicken and Peking ravioli. All were amazing. Food was hot and fresh. Service was great both times. Ok y'all. It's time I break my silence. I dated into a diehard Kowloon family. And I mean it when I say that; if I mentioned certain facts about this family it would identify them as beyond regulars. So I say this with more experience than any other yelper on this app: Kowloon tiki bar was one of the biggest disappointments of my life. Beyond heartbroken [broken heart emoji]. Let's start with the positives. The decorations were cute. Sure. No Kowloon level of aesthetics but like a step up from the aesthetics of Revere Beach iykyk. So like my first three steps in the building were good. That's it. The rest was infernos seventh circle of hell. And what brought me there? The drinks [skull emoji]. We ordered a "scorpion bowl," because how could one mess that up? Right? Well... it's not a Kowloon scorpion bowl. We were served a scorpion water trough. And like damn I know we're piggies ordering as much as we did (foreshadowing) but like you didn't need to give me the whole pig fantasy with the water trough. And when I say water, I mean water (no Tyla). Like not even juice. Water. AND.. it was $54. $54 for water. Honestly a joke goes here but I'm still grieving. Anyways the food was decent as always. I dated into a Kowloon family but I think the food is always meh. Saugus wings were the best thing we got here. The fried rice was like coated in what looked like Red No. 40. RFK would have a heart attack if he hasn't already. Like bright red fried rice [skull emoji, again]. Anyways, I would never come back here. I would need to be paid my $54 back and then some to even experience those decent first few steps in the restaurant again. Went a few weeks ago, and it was not bad although I felt it was a little overpriced the atmosphere and Service was worth it Went back again on Sunday and was completely disappointed. Two drinks and an order spring rolls was almost $48 without the tip. The drinks tasted like they were just juice very very, very disappointed in that. Also, the runners kept bringing food to our tables cause they had no idea where things were going. That's fine. I get it. We tried the California roll. Had to send it back as it was rolled in seaweed when I specifically asked if it was rice paper, and the seaweed when we cut into it was melted like it had just been sitting around. They did take it off the bill, but extremely unhappy with the food and drink For $17 for a drink, you should at least be able to have a little taste of the alcohol. read more

Their crab rangoons were pretty good, but the amount I was charged on my credit card statement wasn't the same amount I actually left on the check. I wonder how frequently they do this and hope to get away with it, since it was only a little bit off. Went there on 7/16 with 2 friends, 1st of all parking sucks, sat at a high top inside we ordered 3 white mai tai they came in ceramic slim cups, filled to the rim with ice one sip and you were done with your drink...we returned them. Ordered pu pu platter that was ok, general gau chicken that was good beef and broccoli salty as hell and pork loin mein salty as hell as well.....overall thumbs DOWN will not go there AGAIN. While our experience started out strong with amazing service and the restaurant being decorated so cute right on the beach. This was hands down awful food. We got the Szechuan Beef, lo mein, and rice. The rice was extremely crunchy and hard like it's been sitting for hours. The lo mein had no flavor and looked like 90 cent boxed noodles, and the beef was covered in corn starch with 0 flavor. This place has so much potential but it was just not good. read more
