Atherton has the best estates on the peninsula. It's a wonderful place to raise a family and be able to have the room to garden and swim.

Best place in the country to call home. Large lots. Big Homes. Incredible neighbors. Perfect location. Safe and private.

On July 22, 2026 I called the MVPD because there was a young girl in the Church rolling around a…read moredark blue trash can. This was at 748 Mercy Street around 1:00 am. Officer Salcedo and I walked the perimeter and she wasn't there rolling around the large dark blue trash can. The trash can was gone. Before I called I walked back around and saw her. She changed her clothes, and took her hair down. When the Officer gave me the incident card the number said 0001. Case numbers do not start with numbers like this. When I asked why he used this number he said " we just got a new system" and yours is the first incident I've written up today. He put his badge as 46. Badge numbers are 5 digits. He wrote Patrol Check. This was definitely a Suspicious Circumstance. Has anyone heard that the MVPD has gotten a new system that generates incident report numbers starting with 0001? There is still known Prostitution going on in that Church. Michael Espinoza who goes by "Uncle Michael" is there on a regular basis. I pointed out that there are signs now up letting people know where upstairs is and downstairs on the outside of the doors. There is nobody allowed in the Church. People are only allowed during the hand out times specified on the boards outside and wall.

Thank you to the Redwood City police, fire department, and EMT service. I'm 75, handicapped and…read morepush a 4 wheeler because of balance issues. We were headed to the Kaiser Audiology dept., on Marshall St. I was tiring, and my wife decided for me to sit down on the 4 wheeler and she would push me the remaining 100 yards to the front door of 702 Marshall St. Pushing me along we hit an uneven patch in the concrete sidewalk and the 4 wheeler went over backwards. The back of my head struck the concrete very hard, but I did not lose consciousness. I saw that my 79 year old wife had fallen also. The police had been conducting some business 15-20 ft away. Two officers immediately came over and were able to get us back on feet, which at that moment I started off to my appointment. After I was seated inside, the officers came into the building, to check on me. They said because of my age and it was a head injury, that I should have it checked out. I agreed and in few minutes, the fire department and EMTs arrived and took me by ambulance to Kaiser hospital, a couple of blocks away. After a CT scan showed no sign of internal bleeding or fracture, I was allowed to go home. YAY!! I feel fine today, but my wife didn't fare so well. Swollen foot, and some other bruises. There was broken glass where I landed so my hand was cut up, but I was able to take off the bandage this morning and toss the pain killers. I also want to thank the doctors, nurses, and attendants at Kaiser hospital. One of the officers also escorted my wife back to her car. She was very grateful as she wasn't feeling to steady.

Love or leave it...3 Follow up: called back at 2:20am after I was told that I should move but that the bars closed at 2:00am. The noise was worse than before and I was told that the officers were coming. Denied telling me that I should move . Called back at 3:00am officer was dismissive and said that they were too busy. 3:30 still waiting. Wish I could rate negative 5.
