I guess that could be a good thing, it helps keep the riffraff like me out. The people of Newcastle are some of the kindest people I have ever met. The people that work at the gas stations are kind. The law enforcement officers are kind. The few restaurants in the city are staffed with kind people. If you ever have 5 minutes to waste, look up the history of Newcastle on the internet, it's mildly interesting. If you are driving on I-80 and see a sign that says Newcastle don't blink or you will miss it.
