SECTION of CDC article on food poisoning.
    Carpe Diem J.

Good Lord, I am shocked the owner sent a long response about FOOD POISONING. READ MY REVIEW. I NEVER claimed to have gotten FOOD POISONING! However your rude and inaccurate retorts to others who said they did get food poisoning from your restaurants needed to be corrected. And, "Paul", you DID tell some poor person that is takes 12 hours to set in"! Don't try and lie now! I am posting part of your OWN rude response to her as PROOF of what you- YOURSELF-actually claimed. And heck NO, we shall never be back! The food was beyond unacceptable. WHY would we COME BACK? You get only ONE chance to make a first impression, and now you have managed to double our negative experience with your restaurant. Bye!

I would highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered the lasagna and the chicken Parm! They were both so good even the next day. The service is amazing and the ambience is warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend getting the Bread board if you are a bread lover. It's making me hungry just thinking about it. And last, but not least we got the affogato! We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for authentic pasta, this is a hidden gem! The food is fresh and delicious! Great portions for the price and wonderful service.

We kicked off an early Mother's Day dinner at Sette Pasta House and let me tell you...this meal had main character energy from the start. The inside? Cute, modern, giving "I casually have my life together." We sat outside where it was a touch toasty...but not "I regret all my life choices" hot. More like "okay, I can still look cute while lightly sweating and pretending it's a glow." Honestly, the fresh air hit different. Motherhood paused for a moment...until someone asked what we're eating next. I started with a sangria. Now, in my mind, sangria is supposed to taste like a fruity vacation in a glass...this one was more like a calm weekend getaway. Not super sweet, not super fruity...but guess what? I still drank it. Happily. Because we don't waste beverages around here. Appetizers rolled in and things got serious. The focaccia bread board? FLUFFY. SPONGY. Not a dry crumb in sight. It was giving "carb cloud sent from heaven." Then came the calamari...except these were not your average dainty little rings. These were THICK. At first glance I genuinely thought someone ordered onion rings by accident. But plot twist...they were crispy, tender, and not rubbery at all. 10/10 identity crisis, 10/10 flavor. Then came the main event...aka "we ordered like we've never eaten before." I got the famous lasagna and WOW. This thing had more layers than my emotions on a Monday morning. Noodles, sauce, meat, cheese...just stacked and thriving. Every bite was rich, savory, and basically yelling "you made the right choice." My husband got the spaghetti pomodoro with a spicy marinara and meatballs. The meatballs? Delicious. The sauce? Had a little kick and a whole lot of personality. The noodles had that perfect bounce...you know, the kind that makes you feel like you're eating authentic pasta and not something you microwaved in a rush. We also had chicken parmesan, meat lovers pizza, shrimp scampi fettuccine, and fettuccine alfredo with pancetta because clearly we came to sample the entire menu like responsible adults. And here's how I knew the food was GOOD...everyone went quiet. Like...eerily quiet. The kind of silence where you look around and realize nobody's talking because they are too busy absolutely destroying their plates. That's the highest compliment. BUT...there was one dish that didn't quite live its best life: the fettuccine alfredo & pancetta. I was waiting for that pancetta flavor to pop out like "HELLO, I'M HERE!" ...and it just kinda whispered instead. Still good, just not the star of the show. And because we believe in balance (and by balance I mean dessert), we wrapped it up with gelato and lava cake. My personal favorite? Madagascar vanilla gelato. Simple, classic, and honestly...it knew exactly what it was doing. No drama, just perfection. Overall verdict: great food, great vibes, and a solid reminder that moms deserve carbs, silence, and dessert...preferably all at the same time.

One of the spots I have bookmarked! Was craving Italian food randomly one evening and found myself here. Casual ambience with a touch of class. It was a relaxed atmosphere, simple yet thoughtful interior decor with open kitchen, and a welcoming environment. The servers were very professional, pleasant and attentive. Excellent service! The quality of food was on point. The pasta was clean tasting, subtle yet flavorful all at the same time! The pasta flour was imported from Italy. Though the menu was moderate, it still has a good selection. We started with the Caesar salad. had the hearty Lasagna Bolognese and the light, silky fettuccine Alfredo and pancetta pasta dishes. Both were very good. The focaccia bread was made from scratch served with three different dips. The whipped butter was delicious! Of course there's always room for dessert. We opted for the Olive oil cake and it was delicate and delicious! A must try! A thoroughly enjoyable meal indeed!

It is always a gamble returning to a restaurant you previously enjoyed, as maintaining consistency in the food industry is notoriously difficult. Fortunately, this establishment continues to prove that its high standards for both food and service are here to stay. From the moment you walk through the door, the pristine cleanliness of the dining area sets a welcoming tone. The staff mirrors this professionalism, delivering the same attentive, warm, and seamless service that made the first visit so memorable. It is clear that the team takes immense pride in hospitality, ensuring guests feel valued throughout the entire evening. The culinary execution remains a major highlight, starting with the crispy skin salmon served over asparagus risotto. The chef executed the salmon flawlessly, achieving a beautifully crackling, crispy skin while keeping the fish itself tender, moist, and perfectly cooked through. The accompanying risotto was a masterclass in texture, arriving buttery smooth and rich. The fresh tomatoes added a bright pop of color, though the dish would ultimately be improved by omitting the vine presentation. Leaving the tomatoes attached to the vine meant that dried bits of leaf and stem broke off and dispersed into the risotto, which slightly disrupted the otherwise velvety texture of the rice. To finish the meal, the tiramisu proved to be an absolute triumph and a worthy main event. The inclusion of rolled cookies on top was a brilliant addition, providing a delightful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the layers below. The cake itself was phenomenal expertly balanced, incredibly moist, and wonderfully creamy without being overly heavy. It delivered a deep, authentic flavor that lingered pleasantly. The bottom line is that this restaurant successfully avoids the second-visit slump, offering a reliable, high-quality dining experience that warrants a high recommendation.

My boyfriend introduced me to this place and since meeting we've come here pretty regularly even though it's out of our way. He orders the same things every time which are the vinaigrette salad and the lasagna. He absolutely loves the lasagna here but I typically try something new every time which are some of the photos below. We've met the owner twice and he's told us about what got him started and asked us how our meals went. The place is nice, quiet, with an open kitchen area where you can see the chefs working. The lighting is not too dark and not too bright. Seats are decently spaced out and there is some outdoor seating as well. The pasta here is made fresh and it's absolutely delicious texturally and flavor wise. My personal favorite dishes that I've had are the shrimp scampi and they used to serve a short rib bolognese pappardelle pasta which was phenomenal. The shrimp scampi comes with a simple but delicious white wine sauce which really allows you to taste and appreciate the flavor of the fresh noodles. The quote sometimes less is more makes you really appreciate the beauty of allowing the simple flavors to make something shine without the unnecessary extras. The Caesar salad here is so yummy and if you add meat to it then it could probably be a meal but the salad alone is great. We often order the focaccia bread board to share which comes with a seasoned butter, herb pesto oil, and this Parmesan garlic mixture which is delicious with the bread. We love coming here and will continue returning.

Do you want to go to a restaurant that makes everything from scratch? The flower used for the pasta and the bread is from Italy. The food is so flavorful and delicious! I liked the focaccia board our favorite was the butter with Black Sea salt! Delish! The pasta as I said was homemade and delicious. Fettuccine noodles with delicious butter sauce and perfectly cooked prawns. Magnificent! When in Sacramento / granite bay please visit They do not advertise someone come all

House-made pasta!! It's all I have to say. Spectacular food, the little breads w/ the dip, the calamari are these juicy crispy flavorful strips like you've never had before, so get that. Any pasta as well. I almost went back to back nights. Service was friendly and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance was great, a little dark but easily bright enough. Pretty good size to honest. New favorite Italian spot in the Roseville area.

This was our first time coming into Sette Pasta House. We did not have a reservation, so we sat at the bar. The service was friendly and pretty quick. We ordered the bread appetizer and it was delicious. For dinner, we ordered the chicken parm and butternut squash tortellini. Both were fantastic. For dessert, we ordered the pumpkin canole and tiramisu, also fantastic! If you're in Granite Bay, and in the mood for pasta, definitely check Sette Pasta House.

Sette House Pasta is a total hidden gem that strikes the perfect balance between a casual vibe and high-end, fine-dining service. Don't let the strip mall location fool you--the experience inside is phenomenal. The Food: My Chicken Parmesan was perfectly crispy, and the Pea Agnolotti was savory and luxurious. We started with the Caesar salad (plenty for two!) and finished with desserts that were absolutely off the charts. The wine list is also out of this world. The Service: Top-tier. They even shelved our to-go boxes away from the table so we could enjoy dessert without the clutter. Even my husband, who can be difficult to please, was impressed by everything--right down to the heavy, high-quality flatware. It was filling up fast for a Monday night, and it's easy to see why. We are thrilled with this find and will definitely be back!

I've been on an Italian journey lately, I must be missing Italy! I discovered Sette while trying a different business in the same shopping center, so I bookmarked for later so glad I did. Such a pleasant little restaurant love that you get to see the kitchen in action. We were sat quickly and our server came right out, she went over the background of the restaurant and what the most popular items are. We settled on the bread trio, meatballs and the short rib pappardelle pasta. The pasta was definitely the standout of night packed full of flavor and meat.

We tried several dishes and went with the recommendation of the pappardelle. It wasn't my personal favorite, so I wouldn't mark the restaurant down simply because it didn't suit my taste. I will say, though, that both my date and I felt the braised ribs had a flavor and texture that reminded us more of canned tuna. I know that sounds wild, but I just couldn't convince my brain that I was actually eating beef! That said, the calamari was delicious, as were the roasted artichoke hearts. We also really enjoyed the seafood linguine, which had great flavor. Add a couple of adult beverages and some good conversation, and it made for a great date night away from the kids. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back to try some more of the menu. If you're in Folsom and looking for a nice place for dinner, I'd definitely recommend giving Fioris a try!

We ordered the Diavola pizza and a peach salad to share. The pizza has a nice crust, but everything else about it was nearly flavorless. No heat or spice at all. Salami seemed cheap. Lots of basic supermarket black olives, if that is your thing. The peach salad... First glace it looked like they forgot the grilled peaches. Then, we find the small crouton-looking things on the plate WERE the peaches. They were not fresh, they were tiny, shriveled and had the texture of a dried peach. Also, cold. Probable been in a cooler for a few days. This was terrible, no excuse for this garbage. The greens and dressing were good, in fairness. -Service was just OK. Server was a little hard to understand, and took a very long time to come take our order. He was friendly enough I suppose, but a bit awkward. Verdict: We will not be back. Nice looking place but the food was absolutely sub-par. How this food earned 4 and a half stars on Yelp is one of God's great mysteries.

(which we weren't, sadly) when we got the check, we were so disappointed to spend nearly $300 on a father's day meal that was simply not good. we wanted to have a delicious meal to celebrate my dad but unfortunately that wasn't the case. we wouldn't come back here or recommend honestly. :(

The casual yet cozy atmosphere prompts fun conversation. There's a nice old world ambiance about it. Perusing the menus we first chose a carafe of wine, a Barbera. Having it before here we find it hearty and bold. For the table we shared a house salad which was fresh and well made. There was plenty for four of us. Tasty bread was brought to the table along with oil/vinegar and herbs on a plate. My main course selection was the Maccheroni e Formaggio, spiral pasta (macaroni) with a rich sauce, lots of cheese and breadcrumbs. I got it with meatballs which I highly recommend. The dish was delicious and very filling. For dessert I chose the cannoli which has been my favorite. Unfortunately, this time it tasted dry and the middle of the shell was hard as a rock. The filling was good. Service was very friendly, not rushed and attentive. They always add to an enjoyable meal. I continue to highly recommend this place for a good Italian meal.

The lasagna is next level--probably the best I've ever had! Gelato is out of this world!! Ambiance is 0/10. The last time we went, we got sat in that sunroom, which is like trying to have a nice dinner under the fluorescent lights in an office building--very off-putting. Our table was squished into the corner next to another table squished into the corner. The people next to us were having a conversation so loud that we couldn't hear each other or speak to each other without literally screaming. Don't get me started on the horrific live music. It was terrible!! Fantastic food, but the overstimulation is ridiculous. It's like trying to have an upscale meal with your table sitting right in the middle of Trader Joe's on a Sunday afternoon with a dentist's headlamp pointed at your face. I was beyond ready to let the hell out of there! Next time we'll 100% be getting food to go!

We ordered the Bolognese and the lasagna. Both were really good while maintaining a home made feel. The kids devoured the tiramisu which they offered complimentary at the end. The portions are on the bigger side. I ordered the large salad as an appetizer for my husband and I and when it came out, it looked like it could have fed a few people. The manager went around to all the tables and thanked folks for coming in. What a nice touch! The wait staff also recognized locals so it had a community feel. I arrived around 3:45 pm and waited about 15 minutes before going inside at 4:00 pm. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and they even offered focaccia bread and water while I waited, which I appreciated. I ordered two kids pizzas, one with pineapple and one with olives, and specifically asked for extra sauce because my kids like their pizza that way. I was also charged an extra $2 for the toppings, which I paid, but it would have been nice if that had been communicated to me upfront. Unfortunately, after waiting about 40 minutes, the pizzas were very disappointing. My kids immediately said it tasted like cheese bread, and after trying it myself, I agreed. There was barely any sauce at all, which was surprising since I had asked for extra sauce. My kids wouldn't eat it, and I ended up having to take them somewhere else to get pizza. I was really disappointed after driving so far and having high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

You get a complimentary warm loaf of bread for your table. For $2, you can add a side of House Salad or Caesar Salad. Both are good. House Salad goes by Side Greens on the online menu. For $5 add-on to your entree, you can make it unlimited soup and salad, brought out 1 request at a time. If you only want AYCE soup & salad, it's $9, again 1 dish at a time. 4 choices: House Salad, Caesar Salad, Tomato Basil Soup, or Lobster Bisque. I can't recommend the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. Consistency is not creamy and thick as one would hope. Oily and loose. I also noticed the online menu offers a $4.50 Side Caprese Salad and $4.50 Side Italian Chopped Salad. Good deal for an individual appetizer. Macaroni Grill also has a Happy Hour menu. Mondays often have an online BOGO entree deal like for Chicken Scaloppine, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parm, or Spaghetti and Meatballs. Promo code: ITALIAN. First time here and my buddy and I didn't want to wait 45 minutes for some Chinese food. Came in and felt very under dressed, but they did not judge us and took us in like family! My bro and I ended up getting one of the green quarter circle booths and got the perfect spot for people watching. Side boobs and badonkadonks were zipping by left and right, and everyone was dressed to impress! Felt like a popular local dating spot. Def would take our own ladies for a date night one of these days. We had the chicken truffle mushroom ravioli and truffle mushroom risotto and the food was pretty good as well. I had made a comment to the waiter how I was dealing with GI issues and prefer the risotto well cooked. She replied and asked whether I would need to lessen the truffle oil. She was so thoughtful and knowledgeable to ask for reduced truffle oil when I did not know about how it might have upset my weak stomach. Kudos looking out for my wellbeing!
