We ordered from Town Story one night for a small get-together, and I was really surprised at how good everything tasted and how fresh all of the ingredients were. My beef and broccoli was probably one of the best versions I've ever had, and I would definitely order it again. Everyone in our group was really pleased with their meal, and they gave us huge portions and tons of rice. While the individual items aren't cheap, they are definitely worth the price. Sometimes once food is delivered, the condensation makes certain soft items soggy or flavor-rich items can taste like they are stale. That's certainly not the case with Town Story. We ordered through Yelp and had it delivered, and I was pleased with the expediency of the process from ordering to delivery. Definitely recommend. read more

My Aunt said she would like chicken chow mein for her 90th birthday. I read the reviews and decided to give Town Story a try. We arrived about noon on a Sunday and were the only ones in the restaurant. First signal. Waiters were very nice but very timid. Not that big of a deal. We ordered BBQ port for an appetizer and then placed our order. Chicken chow mein with crunchy noodles. We don't have crunchy noodles..... second signal. BBQ came out. Good flavor but pretty dry. Each one of our dishes came out separate with quite a bit of time between. We all came to eat together. My wife ordered the cilantro chicken. It came out deep fried??? My Mongolian beef was flavorful and spicy. Pretty good. My aunts chow mein looked more like chicken yakisoba. This would be fine if that is what you were expecting. Okay, UPDATE There was a misunderstanding the other day with My order which rubbed me the wrong way. As with any business, customer service is one of the top priorities of running a good one. After the mishap with my order in tuesday where I received a bad order, I decided to make a revisit to explain my woes. Overall not a bad place to eat, we ordered Crab Rangoons, eggrolls, General Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken with a price tag of $40. For the price we paid the portions were very small and not worth the money in my opinion. The General Chicken was tasty and had plenty of spice. Sweet and Sour was sub par, it came with onions and green peppers in the dish. Never had i seen onions and green peppers in SS chicken it threw the flavor of the dish way off. The Crab Rangoon were something I could have bought at Walmart TBH, very disappointed. The egg rolls were laughable, because they were not egg rolls in fact they were spring rolls. I do not think I will be eating here again. Ill keep searching for my goto Chinese food MECA. Can somebody please bring back Panda WOK. read more

TLDR: fantastic food, particularly the mapo tofu and twice cooked pork. The spice rating is legit. Best delivery in the area. We moved to the area from Colorado, recently, and ran up against the fact that we didn't have much in the kitchen, followed by problems with the range. We started poking around at restaurants, but got tired of having to waste time driving, and started ordering out. This was the first place we tried and I'm super glad we did. The mapo tofu, one of my favorites, came out fantastic. Not cooked to a mush or with too little/too much sauce. The twice cooked pork was also great. Husbando is a big fan of the more Chinese-American dishes, and said the sesame chicken was some of the best he ever had. He also enjoyed the wontons and soups quite a bit. We only had one dish that was a bit of a miss, but have ordered here pretty regularly since, even after getting the oven fixed! Going from a place where we could only get Pizza Hut delivered, this was mindblowing. read more

The best Chinese place we have tried since I lived in Kansas City (which ironically is what it says on your bank statement). They delivered rather quickly. The food was very hot upon arrival. Unusual for delivery these days, but I actually had to wait for it to cool off. Chicken fried rice was good but not great. General tsaos (sp?) chicken was very good. Our party of 18 decided to try out Town Story because Red Robin had an hour and half wait. I'm sure glad that was the case as we would've never have discovered this hidden gem. Food was .com. It wasn't greasy, it didn't taste stale, it was actually fresh tasting. The servers were very attentive and very nice. They took the time to actually communicate as some of us have dietary restrictions. Only thing I'm disappointed with is they are not in the south end closer to me. This place is ridiculous. If I could give it zero stars I would. We ordered delivery tonight. Crab Rangoon, egg flour soup, Mongolian beef, and general tao's chicken. We ordered through beyond menu which was really cool. First they messed up our order. Second, the food was awful. General tao's chicken is my favorite Chinese dish anywhere I go. This was mushy and gross. Not spicy at all. The Mongolian beef seemed undercooked and looked nothing like Mongolian beef that I have ever seen before. The crab rangoons were... ok, not much crab at all, very bland. I replied back to my order through beyond menu that I would like my money back. We barely ate any of our food it was so bad. We ended up ordering pizza. The lady from town story called me right away and said that if I wanted money back I needed to bring her the food. Really? What are you going to resell it? I run a very popular restaurant in edmonds so I know for a fact that this is not common practice. If I have a guest that is not satisfied with my food I do whatever I can to fix it for them. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to this place for delivery or takeout. And I would highly recommend that others reconsider before choosing to dine at town story. read more

Chinese food that is not greasy and tastes great. Kung pao is really tasty and you can choose your spicy level from 1 - 5. I have had the lo mein, fried rice, general Tsao spring rolls and hot beef soup ( not all in one meal ). Everything was good, except maybe the hot boiled beef. It was a bit bland. Wow I was blown away by the service provided tonight 8/24/19. We had one of the best experiences we have had at a restaurant. Our server was awesome! The food was great! Was looking for another favorite Chinese place closer to where I live now, and I found one! I had the Mongolian beef it was so tender! The General Tso has great flavor! .Orange chicken was great! We had the crab rangoon it was awesome! They let us try some donuts on the house. The dipping sauce was so delicious! We will be back again for sure! Usually stay away from Chinese food because there aren't any good Chinese restaurants in the area. But saw this place was new and had really good ratings on here, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered Chinese donuts, orange chicken, chicken fried rice and taro bubble tea, the meal also came with complimentary spring rolls. All of the food was eatable but really mediocre. None of it tasted fresh and had a really weird after taste. I had to use a lot of Sriracha to mask the taste of the food. The orange chicken was okay, not great but it did come with white rice. My least favorite part of the meal was the chicken fried rice, the rice and chicken were soggy not fried and didn't have much flavor. The plain white rice was better than the fried rice. The best part of the meal were the Chinese donuts, came with a sweet dipping sauce but the donuts were greasy. The bubble tea was really gross also, the Taro flavor was bland and the tapioca that I paid 50cent extra for was disgusting and uneatable it was hard and chalky not silky and chewy like good tapioca is supposed to be. The food did arrive within an hour so that's cool, didn't have to wait forever for our food. But we will not be ordering from here again, will stick to Thai food. read more

The only thing deserving a 2 star is the almond fried chicken. The gravy is delicious. I so wanted to like this place. But the customer service is terrible. I ordered two almond fried chicken. Christmas Eve. We received the sauteed. Not at all what we wanted. Now this is the 2nd time this has happened! Fed up I called them to complain. I'll give them kudos because the employee said I could get a credit for the meal. Ok fine. Not a complete loss. Today I called in my order and tried to explain how I had credit. They had no record. She offered $25 discount. Yes that's nice but not what I was promised. Than the Young girl insisted they would only give lunches. Again not what I paid for or promised. For the 2nd time I ask for a manager she speaks to someone for a long minute than agreed to the credit. I always try to treat people well. It's not their fault. I come in to get the food and ask. "Do you guys have a manager." The two childlike employees look at each other and say "he's not here.". Maybe I'll give them one more chance because the food is good.
