Wonderful! I will order as often as I can. I recommend Town Story. Great Chinese food.

A great ratio of BBQ Pork in our BBQ Pork Fried Rice

First Time Pick Up Experience. Overall great experience. We were impressed by the portions and ratio of meat in the dishes. Ordered 3 dishes for the 2 of us and have many leftovers for the coming days. Portions stuffed the to go containers and the food was hot and tasty. Chicken Lo Mein - 3 Star spicy. The chicken was super tender in this dish. Great flavor Bbq Pork Fried Rice - 4 Star spicy - Great ratio of pork. General Tso's Chicken - 4 Star spicy Great flavor and Spice. Good texture. We got a free item with our order and picked the Spring Rolls. They were crunchy and tasty. We asked for spice to be added to the noodles and rice dishes. 4 Star Spicy was perfect, got the sinuses running and added the kick we look for.

I'm really happy I stumbled across this little gem, we were about to order from another location but the reviews on Yelp for Town Story caught my attention. I ordered via Grubhub on the Yelp app, and our order was ready within 45 minutes. My husbands orange chicken had oranges in it, and his chicken wasn't overly breaded. He really enjoyed his chicken wings also. My lo mein wasn't greasy, ideally seasoned and filled with vegetables. The green onion pancakes were really good! I really appreciate the business offering delivery as it's 25 minutes north of me, and if normal traffic was occurring there's no way I would drive north and then attempt to head back south just to land myself in traffic. Make sure to check-in, to receive a free item. Lastly, if you have an order that values a over $20, call to place your order Town Story offers a variety of deals. We will definitely return, I highly recommend!!!

I found on yelp and dropped i for dinner after a massage. I checked in and found a free spring roll offer. Which I claimed after ordering abc the waitress brought them out quickly. I got some mustard sauce and was super happy. I ordered vegetable egg foo young and shrimp chop suey spicy. The egg foo young was deep fried and came out quite greasy. The gravy lacked flavor. Could of used more hoisin and cornstarch to thicken. The chop suey had a lot of smaller shrimp and was full of celery and way too much of it. It had a little cabbage too. It was not spicy at all and had a light sauce on it with once again very little flavor.

Honey Walnut Prawns, General Tzo's Chicken, Rice

Not sure how high my bar is when eating Chinese as a Chinese person but here we go. We went with Town Story because of the reviews and their prices were slightly lower than the others. I had the Honey Walnut Prawns which were $13 and some change and it was $15 and some change at another. I think they gave a decent portion but not as much as you get when ordering the General Tso's Chicken. Both tasted pretty decent but I wished they had given a carton of rice for each dish ordered so we didn't have enough rice. The egg rolls said there would be 3 but to my surprise, there were 4. Can't complain about getting an extra. They cost about $3 and some change but were small and hardly any filling. I don't normally use the sweet and sour sauce but I had to with these to get some flavor. I'm craving the larger egg rolls now. I was not a fan of the fried wonton but the boyfriend liked them. I thought they were overcooked and hard to eat. The meat was bland. I wish he had ordered the crab rangoons instead. I don't suggest getting the bubble tea. I got the original thinking it would be regular milk tea but it was white slush and really sweet. I have no idea what the flavor is supposed to be but I suspect it is made with powder. The boba wasn't chewy and was flavorless. I didn't end up finishing it.

    Won-ton Soup for $5.95.

The online menu asked what two sides you want with the Loco Moco. It showed a plate with two burgers, two eggs on a large bed of rice plus gravy...and what looks to be macaroni salad for 13.75. It asks what you want for your first side. It asks what you want for your 2nd side. I am guessing you get 2 sides with the rice/burgers. I was not real sure. So I asked for 2 sides of macaroni. It asks for mini or 2.50 for regular. I am thinking they will give you reg. side macaroni for 2.50 more. I go back and ask for mini. I do not need that much macaroni. Very disappointed to open the take out container to find zero rice and one small burger with an egg sitting in gravy and 2 sides of macaroni. They need to make this more clear. You only get 2 burgers and eggs if you add 2.50 (regular size). If you choose mini its not for the size of the sides but way less meat. I believe the photo and wording were very misleading. We also ordered Mochiko Chicken....Macaroni salad and broccoli, also a mini. I had it once before, somewhere else, and loved it. Ordered a Hawaiian Chicken BBQ plate, again mini and 2 sides. Did not like either of them. Hawaiian chicken BBQ was like a chicken thigh flattened with soy sauce maybe...no sweetness etc. They both kind of tasted the same. My 2 adult kids barely ate any of it. This was a real treat for us on a very sad day and it was not what we were expecting.....The macaroni salad was just ok...if I added salt. Said We could save 15% with ordering more so we ordered the won tons. They did not come with sweet and sour sauce but sweet chili sauce. I did not care for it at all with the fried won tons. I will not be ordering from again.

You walk in to a shelf full of solid-value wines, mostly local, aimed to pair with whatever you might take home with you to cook. The ceilings are high, and the walls and floors are all spotless white. No decorations, very little merchandising, if any. There's a long butcher case on the left full of all kinds of crazy treats. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic. They're very well balanced, so maybe you could add hot sauce or fresh herbs to taste, but we've had them several times and never felt compelled to tune them up. Location Ambience…read more Service Food TLDR: Beautiful location with a great drink selection. The food quality does not match the price so this should be a stop for a drink before dinner elsewhere. Such potential for this beautifully situated restaurant, right on Silver Lake, with a patio over looking the water and perfect sunset viewing spot and yet, such a disappointment. We made a reservation for seven and arrived a little early. We were told our table wasn't ready so we opted to grab a drink at the bar while we waited. As we sat down, a server handed over menus and my fiance said oh! Thanks but we were just going to order drinks. The server took the menus and walked away. We waited ten minutes and no one greeted us, offered a drink or even looked our way. Thankfully the hostess came over and said our table was ready. We sat on the patio with a beautiful view. The patio was busy on a Friday and the bill from the previous party was still on the table. The waitress came over within five minutes to grab drink orders but left the bill on the table. So when she brought back the drinks, we gave the previous check to her. She took our order for an appetizer- the salmon poke special- and our dinner orders- two shrimp Louie salads and a side of French fries. We waited fifteen to twenty minutes before it became evident she forgot about the appetizer. When she delivered the poke to the table, she apologized for the wait, wished us a good meal and was just about to walk away when an additional server came with our dinner entrees. There was an attempt to smooth it over by saying oh! I tried to stagger it. At least your entrees are already cold! **giggle** please enjoy your meal. I am not one to snub food and I was hungry enough to eat anything. However, the appetizer presentation...lacked presentation. It was a poor pile of slaw and cooked salmon with crispy wonton bits. We ate the salmon and then moved on to the entrees. My Louie salad had brown and wilted lettuce mixed in. For the price of the salad, I would expect better quality. The French fries were commercial fries- nothing to write home about but honestly the best part of the meal. I was extremely disappointed with my experience and still try to look on the bright side- my blood orange mule was good and the French fries shared on the patio saved the night. In the future, I know Emory's will be a good spot to enjoy a drink and fries for a patio sunset view after a bike ride or a paddle on the lake.

I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious!
