So frank just dropped me at IAH airport. What a trooper he is. With Friday traffic, serious downpour of rain and the astros game tonight it was a madhouse on the road. However, I have never felt safer in a car with heavy traffic and serious rain. What normally would take 1 hour to get to the airport took us about 2 hours. But thru it all he was calm, collected and very likable. Just an all around great guy that happens to own the company. I will definitely use his service again compared to Uber or Lyft. I was in search of a rather unique transfer situation to/from Galveston pier, so I sent out five requests for quotes with different services over a weekend. I fully expected it would be Monday before I heard back from any of my requests. But to my surprise, Frank responded to my email within an hour of my inquiry! Of the five quote requests, I only heard back from three, and Towncar2Fly was by far the best in communication and value. Then came the actual transfers...both were top notch experiences. The good. Friendly driver, car was clean. The bad. In the confirmation email I received from the service the instructions read: " Personal Message: The Driver will meet you by the baggage clain area ,holding a sign with your name on it". When we get to the airport, we find our way to the baggage claim, no driver. We get our bags still no driver. We call the service and they say he's waiting at the gate. How does the driver get to the gate, it's on the other side of security, and there is no parking on the runway, I'm think this is a lie. Driver needs to learn how to signal. I was able to see the driver, and not once did he signal, maybe that's how they drive in Houston. Then the driver has no idea where the hotel is, and he doesn't have a GPS. I will not be using this service for the return flight, and I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

You know the drill: going to airport, packing bags, dragging all your crap to the car, packing it in, then having to drive to the airport, find a spot in the garage, unpack everything, struggle to get a luggage cart to drag all your crap around. Imagine if you could eliminate this from your life. Imagine no more! Call a limo service and have THEM do all the awesome stuff. Pick you up, drop you off curbside, help you with the bags, get you going. BAM! Done! I have used their service twice around Houston: once on a pub crawl and once to get to/from the airport. Each time, its been awesome! There is no better feeling than to get a call from your driver that he is parked outside and will meet you at baggage claim to get your bags. And you know those guys: all suited up, with a big tag with YOUR name on it and the driver recognizes you from when he dropped you off. Its a HUGE relief not to have to worry about all that. Just leave the bags with the driver, and get in. They do all the hard work for you. I am quite amazed I haven't done this before. Airport taxis. *shudder* They usually are running their import-export business via cellphone when they are driving you. Where to? Downtown? Where is that? Seriously? I've given up on them, before they kill me. Trusty Yelp pointed me to Towncar2Fly. I'm never going back. Professional, courteous drivers, who actually remember you from the previous time they picked you up! I've yet to be disappointed. A pleasant ride in a CLEAN limo--and a nice bottle of water is waiting for you after that long flight. Always on time. They meet you inside the airport and help you with your luggage. I book online for convenience. The website is a bit cumbersome your first go-around, but stick with it. Be advised that a tip is automatically added to the bill, so you don't need to worry about that. And on the day of travel itself everything is already taken care of, so there's no hassle with paying, signing things, etc. All taken care of in advance. And prices? Fairly competitive with taxis. As of my writing this, it's only about 25% more than a cab...and what's your life worth? read more

My mom called and booked a ride to the airport for the next day at 7am. In addition to asking for her credit card info over the phone, they asked her how much tip she would like to add. Before she had even used their service... After having them repeat all relevant info back twice, we hung up with a bad feeling. The next day, the bad feeling was confirmed. Total no show. After calling them (since there was no contact from their end) at 7:05, being transferred, and then put on hold for 10 minutes, we were informed they did not have anyone available. I have been using this car service weekly for 2 months now and they are professional, reliable, courteous, and have amazing customer service. It's a small business run by a friendly couple with lots of experience. If you ever ride with Frank, he owns the company and is great to talk to. But if you don't want to talk they respect that too. It's not like a cab where the driver jabbers on and on about nothing or is constantly talking on the phone. The town cars are clean, comfortable and spacious. They are all equipped with a GPS and have never had trouble arriving on time or early. They are very smart about their service took, getting your flight number and making sure to meet you regardless of a late flight. Once I got delayed, landed at 3am and the driver was still happy to see me. I would highly recommend this service to anyone. This place has good taxi service but weird reservation service. Bottom line: compare taxi rates and rental car rates for getting around in Houston. If you have to use a taxi, this place is the best I've tried for H-town (which is not saying much when compared to the quality taxis in NY and Chicago). I've used this company twice so far. The first time was flawless, which is hard to find in Houston Taxi services. I called them up, setup the taxi (called in late evening for a pickup the next morning) and everything worked out great. The driver was very friendly. There was plenty of space in the sedan and the ride costs only $3 more than a Yellow Cab taxi, thanks to a 15% off promotion that seems permanent (and is automatically applied; does not require a promo code). The second time was a little different. I setup an online account with them from the first time, which would have allowed me to setup an online reservation without phoning to the service. I wasn't quite comfortable with that, so I called them up. I gave them my account info, but was disconnected in the middle of the call and when I tried to call back, I got voice mail and was asked to leave a message. So first warning: there's not really a "dispatch" service like a normal taxi/limo company that will always answer. I called back a couple more times immediately following and it went to voice mail again. I called about 10 minutes later and the dispatcher answered. I let her know that we had been disconnected and she apologized and said that she received another call and had intended to call me back. I asked for a confirmation of the reservation and rate. The line went... not dead, but silent for about 5 minutes (timer on the phone). I asked if anyone was still there several times, but no response, so I hung up. I called back a little later and left a message, but no call back. I checked my email and there was a confirmation of my reservation from about 40 min after my original call. Then an update to the correct day another 40 min after that. Everything ended up fine; the person was at my house about 10 min early and made it the airport without issue. If the dispatch process were improved, then I would give this company 5 stars. read more

I reserved a car with a driver that was supposed to meet me in baggage claim. Fortunately the driver called me earlier in the day, so I had his number. Upon arriving at the airport, I went to baggage claim and could not find a driver with my name on display as advertised. Once my bags arrived (about 20 minutes later), there was still no driver. I then called him and he said he was coming. He showed up 10 - 15 minutes later. Then said to wait outside while he went to get his car and I had to wait another 10 - 15 minutes. He finally showed up in an SUV. While the SUV was admittedly nice, my wife has difficulty in getting in such a high vehicle, which is why I specifically wanted a car. The bottom line is I didn't get what I had reserved. I didn't get help with my luggage, nor did I get the car that was reserved. And, I had to wait. I would have been much better off and taking a Taxi which would have been easier for my wife, faster, and cheaper. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I requested an airport pickup at 645am, and the driver never showed up. At 6.55am I called reservations, and they said they will look for my driver. At 7.00am I called again but nobody picked up, so I left a message to cancel the service, and took a street taxi. At 7:15 I got a call telling me that my driver had arrived, and that I will get charged for the service because I left. If you land from a red-eye flight, the least you expect is your car waiting for you, not the other way around. THEY WERE HALF AN HOUR LATE, AND THEY TELL ME I SHOULD'VE WAITED INDEFINITELY UNTIL THE DIRVER ARRIVED!! Immediately after hanging up, i got an email confirming the charge on the credit card. These are not serious people. In addition, they force you to decide on the gratuity before even getting the service. If you dont, they'll charge you 20% automatically! I've used this service several times to get me to both IAH and HOU. I usually use them when I am heading out on long trips, anything over 5 days, and always for that added special touch for sales trips and vacations. They have ALWAYS been on time, and early. They call the night before, and send an email right away to confirm everything on the booking. We recently booked them for our honeymoon/wedding in Mexico to take us to IAH, and our flight was early, so they arrived to my house at 530. The cars are super clean, they don't blast music, and they are friendly without being overly so. (You know the type) For our pick up, our driver was the same one who dropped us off, so we recognized us, and was already waiting for us in after baggage claim. We were home in no time, and after a long vacation or trip that's what matters most. I wold highly recommend them, they haven't let me down yet, and I will continue to use them for business and travel plans. read more

We needed a ride from Bush IAH to Clear Lake City early Sunday morning in early November after a redeye flight. We are not accustomed to using this type of service. It seemed okay. Our plane was about 15-20 min early, but the driver appeared at the originally scheduled time as expected which was just after we waited a while for our bags, and this was all perfectly fine with us. I guess I've heard of services that check your flight and show up accordingly. The car was clean, the water was appreciated, the driver was nice and handled our bags for us. The car did seem to be a bit dated and rode like it needed new shocks, but you know Houston has pretty bad roads for judging this. I would not call this polished, super professional, VIP/movie star service, but we just needed a ride. I would choose this provider again, no problem, and cannot recommend one of the highly rated competitors (see my Tip on it).
