This is a little hidden gem of a business. I've been in this shopping complex many times and I guess I never noticed it. I went to Towne Jewelers today to have the battery replaced on a 5-year-old watch, as well as the band on it since it was cracked, old, and broken. I can't say enough great things about them! They were able to have my band and battery replaced within 20 minutes, and the cost was right around $40. The collection of bands they had was plenty for me to pick one I liked and that was within my price range. They can also order bands from their catalog if they don't have one you like. We had a great experience working with Joe and Fran to find the perfect wedding bands! We initially went to the shop to simply get my (now) husband's finger sized for a band. He has never worn a ring, so he tried on several to find one that was comfortable for him. There was absolutely no sales pressure and we felt the prices were very reasonable. We had such a great experience with his wedding band that we also returned to have mine custom made! I have a blue topaz engagement ring and was a bit confounded on the type of wedding band I wanted to compliment the stone. Fran went to work to help me find a fit that I really loved. They custom made the band (due to the setting of the base) and I could not be happier! It fits perfectly and I get several compliments on how unique it is! When I picked up the rings before the wedding they even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate, a wonderful surprise! On the day of our wedding the videographer mentioned he and his wife got their rings from the same place! We both commented on how wonderful the service was. My soon to be father-in-law recommended that I come to Towne Jewelers. I am extremely happy that he did. The first time I went in was to buy an engagement ring and Fran was a huge help. I explained what I was looking for my price range and directed me to a case with very beautiful rings. We found a couple that matched what I was looking for and she even showed me a couple of rings that matched my style that already had the diamond setting. Within minutes I knew I found the perfect ring! Fran took the ring to the back to re-sized and cleaned. While I was waiting it felt as if we had know each other for a long time. Fran and Joe are both very friendly and are interested in you. 8 months have gone by and my fiancee and I went back to Towne Jewelers to pick out her wedding band and my ring. This time we worked with Joe and he is also very friendly. We told him what we were looking for and he pointed us in the right direction. Jessica tried on a few rings and Joe showed us what it would look like with different combination of bands or what the ring would look like if we had bands on both sides of the ring. While Jessica was still looking I asked Joe about the Mens rings and he pointed me to a case with a lot of nice rings. I tried on about 4 and picked two, one as a show ring and another as a daily ring. We also did the same thing for Jessica she picked out the band and then picked out a very pretty daily ring. It was a minor adjustment, but they performed it promptly while I waited. The charge was very fair and reasonable. Although not in the market presently, they have a very large inventory of pretty spectacular jewelry pieces. I can't say enough positive things about Towne Jewelers - their customer service is extraordinary! I go to them for anything and everything I need that's jewelry or watch related. I've bought jewelry here and their prices are very competitive. I've taken MANY things to Francis to be repaired and the work is always outstanding and reasonably priced. A couple years ago, my expensive self-winding watch stopped working. I took it to an upscale jeweler that specialized in watches and they gave me a quote of $450 to repair it. I then took it to Towne Jewelers and the repair was $150 - and it's still working perfectly. I came in town from Wisconsin needed batteries for 2 watches. Needless to say I only needed one, I had not operated my watch correctly...they could have charged me for a battery and they never did! My other watch a Bulova had to go out. They called me later that day, watch was done picked up next day. I wish more businesses were this customer oriented. Never pushy she showed me lots of options and always asked my opinion before giving her own so I wasn't swayed to change what I liked. She got some diamonds in over night so I could look at them and make a decision. She was very thorough and explained all the differences in the 4 c's so I could decide what was most important to me. My watch needed a new battery so I yelped on my way home from the market and Towne Jeweler popped up as my nearest location. Everyone there were so friendly and my watch battery cost $15.80. It was a Michael Kors watch so I'm not sure if they charge less or more for different brands but that was a good deal! They also have a 1 year warranty which is awesome. From the first time I opened the doors at Towne I knew this is the last jewelry store I would need to visit the feeling of "family" that you get makes it so easy to shop there.
