Our supposedly "luxury suite" was directly beneath a bar packed with loud, obnoxious drunks whose shouting, stomping, and relentless noise shattered any illusion of a relaxing weekend. My wife's birthday getaway was effectively ruined by the hotel's careless disregard for guest comfort. When we pleaded with management for help, their tone-deaf solution was an insultingly miserable basement dungeon--windowless, cramped, and reminiscent of a cheap horror film set. Their customer service was indifferent at best, bordering on hostile at worst. The blatant false advertising, nonexistent hospitality, and shameless refusal to address legitimate grievances left us stunned and disgusted. I wouldn't stay here again if it were the last hotel on Earth. Save your sanity--and your money--and stay literally anywhere else.

We were greeted immediately by a host who showed us around and brought us to the 6th floor to The Library where we were given lemonade with an option to spike it. This was not a wait in line for someone to help you. This was a concierge service the whole time. Our host brought us to the room and showed us around, who doesn't love an iPad to control your thermostat, your blackout shades, tv, and music. The room is deathly quiet. You can actually hear yourself think. The marble bathroom with the tv in the mirror, the separate water closet, shower, and bathtub with Bvlgari amenities is stunning. The bed is uber comfortable with high thread count sheets. The bar cart with items for mixed drinks is something I have never seen in the thousands of room nights ai have stayed all over the world. All and all this is a treasure. I hope I am able to stay here many more times. If you have an Amex Platinum card they have outstanding amenities that were available at this point...including free valet parking, free breakfast, and $100 voucher for restaurant or spa.

It feels bespoke and hits well above its price point. The rooftop bar is a venue on its own, providing incredible views of Auburn and a very reasonably priced wine selection. The food there is mediocre, but it's a great spot for drinks. Downstairs is a coffee shop, Bo Jackson's Beans, which maintains the design aesthetic and completes the lobby in a great way. The team is quick to respond and is very efficient to all guests needs. All around, this is a gorgeous boutique hotel that isn't just unique, but deeply rooted in Auburn culture.

The grounds are beautiful and I enjoyed resting during the evenings in the front porch rocking chairs. Breakfast was varied and fresh every morning (home made granola, eggs, bacon, sausage, scones, pancakes, cheese grits, muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit to name a few). There is always coffee, tea and hot chocolate along with water and sodas available in the garden room along with fresh cookies. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area! I like that you can use the Hilton app to choose your room, so with all those factors, we chose one of the fourth (top) floor. The room was clean, and it was better updated than a lot of hotels we've visited lately. I did like that the in-room coffee offered was a pod system so we didn't have to make an entire pot. The hotel does offer breakfast for an additional fee ($7.95) if you aren't a certain level of Hilton Rewards member. It wasn't something we needed, so I really didn't pay attention to it, though I did see a nice table of coffee and beverages in the lobby as part of it. There is a Waffle House pretty much within walking distance, so there is something nearby if you prefer. There are also several restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get on/off the interstate nearby.

I wiped the hard surfaces down and my wipes were dirty afterwards. I can only imagine what's in the carpet and drapes. They didn't even bother vacuuming the room as evidenced by the candy and wrappers that remained underneath. The carpet was also stained very badly. I literally booked this hotel because I needed a few hours of sleep when my kids and I got stuck in deadlocked traffic. I paid $150+ for the worst room I've ever stayed in.
