We ended up staying here the weekend of Rodeo, a soccer tournament, and there was a wedding party staying in the hotel. All that said, we had a nice, quiet stay. I like that you can use the Hilton app to choose your room, so with all those factors, we chose one of the fourth (top) floor. The room was clean, and it was better updated than a lot of hotels we've visited lately. I did like that the in-room coffee offered was a pod system so we didn't have to make an entire pot. The hotel does offer breakfast for an additional fee ($7.95) if you aren't a certain level of Hilton Rewards member. It wasn't something we needed, so I really didn't pay attention to it, though I did see a nice table of coffee and beverages in the lobby as part of it. There is a Waffle House pretty much within walking distance, so there is something nearby if you prefer. There are also several restaurants nearby, and it's easy to get on/off the interstate nearby. read more

If I could, I'd choose zero stars for this hotel. Walking in, the receptionist was clearly on a personal call in the office. He wanted to be sure whomever he was speaking with, knew that he'd call them back just as soon as he could get rid of me. He was short and acted bothered during our brief encounter. I wouldn't dare hold him any longer. Elevator- nasty and old smelling with disgusting carpet. The room was so dingy and smelled just the way it looked! I wiped the hard surfaces down and my wipes were dirty afterwards. I can only imagine what's in the carpet and drapes. They didn't even bother vacuuming the room as evidenced by the candy and wrappers that remained underneath. The carpet was also stained very badly. I literally booked this hotel because I needed a few hours of sleep when my kids and I got stuck in deadlocked traffic. I paid $150+ for the worst room I've ever stayed in. This is clearly an acquired hotel that has not been renovated to Hilton standards. We stayed in a suite, 2 queens, and a pull-out couch. The pullout was sagging and had a terrible mattress. The sheets for it didn't fit. The room, in general, smelled like cat pee. The walls were not soundproofed. The carpet was gross (and ugly). Don't be filled by the updated entrance and lobby, this place is not nice. Omg, the bar and restaurant... what a joke. Almost forgot to mention there was trash on the floor and TV stand when we arrived. read more

Mystery stains on the curtains... Room definitely needs some upgrades. The curtains were stained in many places, the air vents appear to have either mold or mildew in them, and the grout in the shower is unclean. The whole room needs a refresh and appears to be very dingy and unclean. The lobby was nice upon arrival and the staff is nice. read more

We booked a 3 night stay, and on the first night, pulled back the covers and found hair on clearly dirty sheets. It was after midnight, so we had to go downstairs to get all new linens and change the bed ourselves. The next day after the room had finally been cleaned, we discovered rotting food in the broken refrigerator. We won't be back. read more

For a La Quinta, I think this is as nice as can be! The price is good, staff was good, location convenient. Bonus points because the rooms have laminate or something (not carpet). You have a Freddy's, few restaurants, movie theater and awesome gas station in walking distance. I didn't care for the breakfast that much, but hey.. it's free. For the price, you can't beat this place. Will definitely be staying again my next trip to Auburn. read more

Really dirty. See the photos!! Right after checking in I noticed a pubic hair on the toilet seat. If I had known how many other issues I would encounter I would have photographed it. Then I checked the mattress for bed bugs, as I always do, and noticed gross yellow stains on the under sheet! There were also nasty stains down the wall behind the bed, inside the closet, on the bathroom sink, and on the ottoman. Here's the best part. On my second day I opened the fridge and found someone else's coke! If they didn't even clean the fridge, what else did they forget?! Never again. Grossest hotel I've ever stayed in. Even compared to cheap hotels out of the country. I expected better from a Hilton. read more

Very outdated, half of the hotel seems unavailable so the room choices are slim even for Hilton Honors members . Music by the pool starts blaring at 6.30 am. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. So if you are not up all night from the ice maker noise , the elevator or old AC and in pain from a terrible mattress - you will delight in a loud musac played early enough to get you out of this place. Would not recommend for business travelers, there are plenty of other choices. read more

I like the location of this Hilton, it's not by Tiger Town and all the other hotels. Also, maybe got a deal on the price but it was a little cheaper than the competition (through hotel.com). The staff was very friendly and quick, when we checked in. They have a nice breakfast which is convenient. You can go out and find cheaper but it's not too overly priced for the convenience. Based on my experience, this hotel needs serious updating. On the positive side staff is friendly, the hotel has a descent common area and housekeeping does a good job at keeping the rooms clean. The rooms have a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. However, the senior management needs to spend a night or two in the Hotel to get the customer experience! The corridor carpet is badly stained. In regards to the guest rThe air conditioner is so loud that you must turn the tv volume up to about "48" to hear it and it keeps you awake at night. The toilet seat takes you "on a ride" when you sit on it because it is not fastened properly, the toilet paper holder requires you you twist off that "floating seat" and reach UNDER the vanity to reach the toilet paper roller. Doors are chipped, shower enclosure is stained with what appears to be mold and carpet is worn. We passed on the breakfast special ($12.99) served in a space similar to the space that the Holiday Inn Express (at the next exit) serves for free. If I was giving house keeping and line staff a grade it would be much higher, because they are doing the best they can with what they are working with. The management (Franchise owner) however gets a failing grade. Shame on "Hilton" for not setting a higher standard. BTW, I also need to note that there is no safe in the room, so travelers be aware. read more

Chose this hotel as a stop on a road trip as it advertised a bar and restaurant in the hotel. However neither of those things are true. There's breakfast offered during the week - that's it. There are signs in the hotel about room service but nope! Noisy children are running the halls and one of the rooms has a dog that's whining. Rooms are old fashioned but seem clean and staff is friendly. read more

Wow! Was the word I said when I entered the lobby. It's a beautiful hotel with great seating areas. Cold lemon water, magazines to read, dinner and breakfast to purchase. The staff was amazing. Polite, pleasant and very eager to help. We're here in Auburn, AL to take my grandson to Auburn University. Today he checks into his dorm and starts his college experience. We'll be back to stay here on our future visits! read more

Rooms were decent and quiet. Staff was not very welcoming and there is no complimentary breakfast. They do offer breakfast at $13 a person. Even the grab bag breakfast is around 8-9 dollars for a piece of fruit and a granola bar. The 3 star rating is because the rooms weren't bad and it was quiet. I would give better rating if it had a free Continental breakfast. read more

I have been coming to this hotel for about five years for work. It always has a great rate and they have finally added a bar area as most Hilton Garden Inn's have. They have a great staff, rooms are clean, nice outdoor pool and a good weight room. read more

We were very disappointed in our room. The bed was hard and the rest of the room needed serious updating. Actually the whole hotel needs updating. The service desk is the highlight of the whole place. Service is great! If the front desk wasn't so friendly and helpful, I would have given the hotel a 2 rating but they were so good in the lobby and also the cleaning people that they deserve a 5 rating. The lobby is nice, but that's about it. The rooms are hideous. Avacado green carpet, ugly furniture. Beds are pretty comfortable. The bathroom was gross. The toilet seat was glued on crooked. The fan doesn't work. I asked them to fix it, but they didn't. Because the fan is broken the mirror fogs up. The paint on the ceiling is peeling from the moisture. I assume that much moisture must have other consequences. The pool is not much larger than the size of a large hot tub. This place needs a makeover. read more

Stayed here one night recently on a college visit to Auburn with son & wife. Everything is clean and neat in this hotel and the rooms were more spacious than I had guessed they would be. We checked in late, somewhere after 10pm and the front desk clerk was very sharp on the game. I am Hilton Gold and even though I am only supposed to get 2 free breakfasts he hooked me up with the 3rd on the house which was very cool! The breakfast was very good, similar to an Embassy breakfast although they have servers instead of stand at the omelette station. Frankly, I prefer the stand at the omelette stations as the service is quicker but I'm not going to be overly critical. Friendly servers just not in as much of a hurry as I probably was! All in all this was a nice hotel at a reasonable price and I appreciated the cleanliness a lot! read more

This hotel is the epitome of southern hospitality. The staff is extremely welcoming and courteous, and the beds are so comfortable. Everything is very clean which is a very important factor for me. The entire hotel is just light and bright, and by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Breakfast is also incredible, with such considerate staff members. read more

This was my first stay at this location and the purpose was to visit my daughter at Auburn Univ. The hotel which I usually frequent was full. The customer service at this hotel was great! My family and I arrived early and early check-in was no problem. The location is very close to Auburn University and just off the exit. The property is safe, clean and very family oriented. No issues with security or the surrounding locations with more than adequate/safe parking. The major plus to this location is the breakfast. The staff is overwhelmingly friendly and very accommodating. Ask for Sophie and she will make it happen. I will definitely stay at the property again. The ONLY reason I did not rate this property a 5 stars was the TV in the room was not functioning correctly. The TV was old. read more
