Ac is ice cold! If you are like me and must have a cold AC you will not be disappointed here! Ice cold. The bed is super comfy too. Nice layout. Great work station if you are working on the road like me. Nice kitchen if you a to cook. They have free breakfast and super fast WiFi. Restroom is stocked with toiletries. They even have toothpaste if you forgot that. Marissa helped me check in and was extremely nice and helpful. I typically book at Hilton properties but my last two hotels have been by Marriott and I like them too. Good to have a second choice. If you are in the area and need a place to crash or in town for business I suggest giving this hotel a try. All good for me so far! I haven't got to use the gym or pool but I'll try tomorrow. read more

It was ok. I was awaken pretty early because you can hear everything going on in the adjoining room. I was woke up by the bathroom shower and toilet. The location was ok. The food was basic. The bed was a little worn and sunken in, in the middle.. I only needed to be there for one night and basically checked in close to midnight so I was able to sleep!! read more

Stayed here on a recent road trip to Big Bend National Park so it was just a quick visit. I am not sure of cost because I just used my Marriott points. The check in process was easy and fast. The front desk clerk was nice, thanked us for being reward members and gave us a couple of waters. The hallways smelled like the 1950's, heavy cigarette smoke. Luckily it wasn't bad inside the room itself. The room was nice with a full-size fridge and mini kitchen. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is right off the interstate and right next door to a Starbucks and a few restaurants. The only issue I had, and it is NOT their fault, was the number of birds in the parking lot. It was like the Hitchcock movie with literally thousands of chirping/skreetching birds everywhere. I even woke up to a polka dot card from all the bird poop. read more

In town for a wedding and the rooms were just right. The kitchen area worked perfect for us. Having the twin grands here and needing fresh milk on hand, the large fridge was a huge plus. The beds are super comfy. The rooms clean and cozy. They aren't huge but they do the trick. For some reason seguin hotels are priced a bit higher than your average smaller town hotels, so keep that in mind when trying to book. For the money compared to others in the area this was the best choice by far. read more

Relative to anywhere else you'd find in Seguin, the TownePlace Suites was a great stay. Had to stay in Seguin for one night on a work trip and almost made the mistake of staying at the Days Inn across the street (don't). The people at the front desk were friendly and the room was nice. The room had a kitchen, fridge, couch, and a good TV. I used the fitness center which was what you would expect: small but has the essentials. I did find it a bit odd that you had to go outside the hotel and through the pool to get to the gym, but it wasn't a big deal. There's a Chili's and Starbucks within walking distance if that's your thing. read more

Conveniently located on the I-10 westbound side thirty minutes outside of San Antonio, this TownePlace Suites location is a little different from most of its counterparts. For starters, this location is inside of a 4-level building that looks like it was suited for another type of Marriott property, such as a Fairfield Inn & Suites. Not like a standard TownePlace Suites at all (they are usually smaller). No matter. On the plus side, this TownePlace location is fairly new (built late 2014, early 2015). The room suites are of a good size, and met expectations. The bed was not too hard or firm, as such with the other furniture pieces. The floor that I was on was super quiet. There are some properties where you can hear everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean), yet this location had walls & windows that were fortified extremely well. The amenities of the outdoor pool & nearby gym were reasonably sized and clean as well. Breakfast was so-so. While it is expected that you'll receive a continental breakfast of eggs, toast, muffins and fruit, the cupboard seemed to get barer with each passing day. It was slightly disappointing seeing the egg & sausage pan out without any food in it at 7:00 AM. I was one of the few that waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. The same can be said of fresh fruit, instead of seeing 2-week old apples & oranges. The regular coffee tasted like decaf, and the decaf (through experimentation) tasted like hot bath water. Not that great at all. Thank God for the Starbucks next door, whose exceptional caffeine prevented me from turning into a morbid cast member of AMC's "The Walking Dead." Customer service here was pretty good. No complaints whatsoever. One convenience to this TownePlace location is that restaurant venues such as IHOP & Chili's are within immediate walking distance, as well as the aforementioned Starbucks. That, and you are a stone's throw away from I-10. Though the address says Seguin, you really don't feel like you are in Seguin. Overall, I'd absolutely stay here again whenever traveling between Houston & San Antonio. read more

PROS: Cold A/C Comfortable bed Friendly staff During COVID, they've transitioned their breakfast to a little sack of items you can pick up. The breakfast was mediocre, but I understand that they can only do so much right now. CONS: The "blanket" on the bed was very thin, almost like a second sheet, so I had a hard time finding a good sleeping temperature. The tub was incredibly slippery; my husband and I both slipped and nearly fell (and his slip was even after getting a warning about it from me). The housekeeping staff was NOT thorough about cleaning the room before our stay. There was a dirty rag on the floor behind the bathroom door, and there was what looked to be a ramen noodle on one of the lamp shades. Everything was very clean and pretty typical of staying at a Marriott. The location is right off the main highway so it is easy to find. Spent two nights here less than a week before school was scheduled to start. It was a bitter suite moment. (Get it?) CONS: - The pool is extremely small, you can tell from the picture but seeing it in real life is just shocking. - The rooms are fairly small. Our room was called a suite but the pull out couch was nearly touching the bed. - There was some kind of marking on our door, it looked like someone had pried their way in at one point in time. - The staff, besides the chef (chef's assistant? he was restocking things on the breakfast buffet), seemed very disengaged. Wasn't greeted or wished well on my way out or in at any time. PROS: - Breakfast was decent. I was able to get a full breakfast without pushing things around on my plate. - The bathroom was VERY clean and that was an aspect that earned this hotel a third star. I loathe dirty hotel bathrooms, they make me long for home which is not a feeling I want to experience on vacation. - Had a Starbucks and Chili's very close by. I didn't go to either while I was there but I feel like that might be a plus to someone reading this. Overall good stay. My gun was stolen from truck, smashed window. They have no security cameras working on the outside. I question overall security. Asked to have GM call this morning, have heard zero back. The surrounding hotels had vehicles broken into as well. ALL IN BLINDSPOTS, shady to say the least. I would start the investigation with its employees, being I was informed by the local Police that this wasn't the first time and management has not takin any advice to protect its patrons and property. Seems to me that there wasn't any concern from the staff, but a cigarette break had priority. Stay in New Braunfels where the have security at the Marriott properties. Just because there is a sign that says not responsible for your valuables, it shouldn't remove overall liability from the proprietor. I am more concerned about the safety. The weapon was properly secured in locked vehicle and consul. Retired Marine and no BS here! Now a couple days later have not received any calls from management. I called and it seems that it is of no concern of there's that they don't have adequate security. Please consider your choice stay here, be aware of the lack of security. I'm not going to lie.....really surpassed my expectations. Towne Place Suites in Seguin is really a unique Marriott property. It has all the comfort of a typical 4 star hotel fused with the amenities of a extended stay type facility....but with out the extended stay feeling. From the moment of check in you know the property is part of the prideful Marriott family. The staff is courteous and proud to be part of the hotel, the breakfast is super, and again the rooms are ultra comfortable. I spend nearly 200 days a year traveling the US for work, and TPS in Seguin certainly has found it's way in my favorites "group". Thanks for making my stay near perfect. read more

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The employees were BEYOND a nightmare. I have an emotional support dog. She goes on every trip I go on. I have never been told I must pay a pet fee for her. Every other hotel I have ever been to asks to see her paperwork or id and then she gets to stay with me. Here, the lady working the front office was incredibly rude. I told her about my dog and asked to have the pet fee waived. I tried to show her my dog's paperwork and she would not even look at it. This was after she FLEW ON THE PLANE WITH ME HERE. How can an airline honor my dog, but a little, awful hotel cannot. So I was forced to pay $100 for a dog to stay with me (and extra each night) that I HAVE to have with me. I was working online during this trip. Very light internet use. I was only sending emails and had one conference call. The wifi was terrible and disconnected numerous times. The cleaning staff was so loud they could be heard through my laptop on my call. They were in the hallway! My keycard locked me out of my room once and randomly would not work on the outside doors. At one point when I was taking my dog outside to go to the bathroom, I had to walk around to 3 different doors before one finally worked. Then my fiancé and I decided to one more night because his job got pushed out a day and it was going to be easier to just stay again than to move all our stuff to a new hotel for one night. He went down to the office twice and nobody was at the desk. Finally, the third time he went down, he told them (she was working once again) she told him we would have to check out in the morning and check back in at 4. every other hotel I've ever been to has just said okay, charged us, and allowed us to keep our belongings in our room. This was impossible for us to do since he had to be at work at 7 am and did not get home until 7pm and check out was at 11am. We only have one vehicle here. I would have just had to sit somewhere for hours until I was able to check in again. The next morning, he called again and was finally told they would just charge him and I could stay in the room. The next day he noticed 3 different random charges on his card and they told him this was "in case we stole or damaged the room". I would understand if it was a one time deposit (that we were informed of), but this was never mentioned to us. When he called to ask about these, the employee threatened to call the company he was working for! After check out, my fiancé's card was charged $120 again! I called and asked about it and was told it was ALSO "in case we damaged the room or stole". I was told that this would be refunded in 3-5 days. These charges that we were never informed of MAXED out his credit card. This is absurd. Nearly $300 of completely random charges. It was not only us either. My fiance asked another guy from his company who was staying there as well if it had happened to him, and he said he was also getting random charges. He had only enough money to cover his hotel for a few days and his truck payment until he got paid. He was now unable to make his truck payment because of these random charges that they told nobody about. We actually left on our last night, even though we had paid for it, because staying another night sounded so terrible. I cannot even imagine what would have happened if we were not watching our bank accounts. I wrote a review on yelp and google to warn other people of these things and when I woke up the next day, both these reviews were deleted! read more

Not sure what is going on with Marriott since COVID-19 hit but maybe they are using it as an excuse not to offer what is usually exceptional quality and service. I am a titanium member and have been exasperated with the services Marriott is overall providing since March 2020. I checked into this hotel late last night. There is a group of us and we have 2 rooms. There were only 2 bath towels in the room. Normally Marriott provides 3 bath towels in each room. I went to the front desk at 9:44 pm and no one was there. I went back to my room and called the front desk on the phone. I let the phone ring 20 times; no one answered. I called back at 9:56 pm and after the 10th ring; someone picked up and sent up towels about 15 minutes later. This morning I got out of the shower. I looked in the cabinet and all the drawers for a blow dryer. I checked the closet. Exasperated I called the front desk and asked where would one find a blow dryer. The front desk responded; at the front desk. This is ridiculous. I have a term that I coined the end of March; "COVIDIDIOT." I'm looking at switching my loyalty to Hyatt or Sheraton. I have 3 more nights with the Marriott. Ugh. read more

I have to say I was extremely disappointed in my stay at the Marriott. I am all about Customer Service and I didn't receive that when I arrived! Upon check in the front desk girl named Monica was very rude, I did not appreciate the tone she gave me. Room service was terrible as well. The bed was the only thing made, extra sheets weren't folded, the bath tube was not cleaned, there were towels still left on the floor and no clean towels. A cozy stay so close off the highway. Easy on and off. Location is conveniently located around coffee and some restaurants that help the late night and early mornings. Sitting in the lobby is homey with their modern decor and awesome fireplace. Since it is Texas and the heat is high, take a dip in their beautiful pool fully equipped with a waterfall fountain. Rooms are highly comfortable, well maintained and clean. Horrific Arrived and no one was at the front desk. Several people arrived after I did and we were all baffled as to whether anyone would show up! Especially since it was 4:30 pm. The room was small with the bed and pullout almost on top of each other! The room was dirty (milk left in the refrigerator bed linens dirty dead insects on the towels and stains on the walls)!! The ice machine was out of order as was a washer and dryer. Later at around 10 pm kids were running up & down the hall screaming! When they finally stopped, someone on our floor decided to microwave their leftover seafood! Needless to say our room stunk! WORST EXPERIENCE read more

Really liked my stay here. They were accommodating to my entire family and were happy to put all of our rooms near one another. The rooms were VERY nice and had plasma screen TVs, large comfy beds, a dishwasher, a sink for dishes, a full sized refrigerator, and so much more! The only reason I'm not giving all five stars is because the cook making breakfast got a little snappy. Other than getting your staff in order, yall are doing a wonderful job! The front desk was super helpful, hassle free and the guy behind the counter had a great sense of humor as he gladly handed my room keys. Walking into the room your greeted by the "kitchen" which is super cool if your traveling with cookware. Also if your staying a bit longer don't worry because there is an HEB down the road and a fridge in the room to keep your food cool. There is a closet. Bedroom was super clean. As well as the bathroom. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was at 7am and it was great. I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a place to stay around this area. I won't mind staying again! Good job guys! read more

Stopped here instead of more conspicuous hotels nearby and pleasantly surprised. About $119 for weekday stay. They had hotdogs they were giving out for dinner and offered a morning breakfast but I missed it. Room was small but nice and everything seemed clean and new. Rooms had mini-fridge and microwave so prob. good for traveling families. Outdoor pool looked maintained and they had a small patio. Stove, fridge, dish washer, cabinets equipped with dishes and utensils in the room. Restroom spacious and clean! This looked more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. I have stayed over 3000 nights in Marriott hotels and can tell when the hotel staff takes pride in their work and work for managers with good leadership skills. This is one of those hotels. If you plan on vacationing in this area and attending one of the many attractions close by, you should consider staying here. Just 30 minutes away from hustle and bustle of San Antonio tx, The town Place suites in Seguin Texas it's such a great place to rest up and relax. It has plenty of great restaurants to choose from in a three block radius,A Starbucks practically attached to the hotel to start off your morning with some great coffee, breakfast is amazing from 7 to 10 in the morning. The staff is very friendly the rooms were extremely clean and the bed was oh so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I went out to the pool area which was very nice luckily there was no people and a nice little waterfall for a nice tranquil setting to read a book, I will definitely keep booking is great hotel every time I visit San Antonio no doubt about it, thank you town Place suites. read more

This hotel was very accommodating, it was my husband and I plus our 2 kids and 2 dogs, the room they first gave us was too small, but they gave us a bigger king suite that was for handicapped and it all worked out, being that we were staying here for a week! Alex at the front desk was very helpful with anything we needed. The rooms are clean and beds and sheets are comfy! Only reason why I'm not giving it a 5 is because I feel breakfast could be a little better but there's an IHOP, Starbucks, and Chili's literally walking distance behind the hotel. Upon making my reservation over the phone, the rep informed me that I was reserving a two room kitchenette with a king bed and a queen bed.... What she should've said is that the so called queen bed was a pullout full size couch bed. And it was just one room not two. I was not expecting a big suite but the representative did make it seem a lot bigger then it really was. A few mins after arriving to the room, I called the front desk and an unprofessional front desk person basically said...oh well, that's all we have. I asked to speak to her manager and the mgr. did apologize for her employees response and stated that she was standing right next to her and was listening to her response. Mgr. was nicer but basically said that was all she has available. In my opinion, Good customer service would've basically asked me (the customer) if we wanted our money back being that I was mislead and their are two other hotels right next door BUT she didn't... Their were no sheets or blankets for the couch bed. When we asked the front desk, they said they may not have any but said she would try to find some. Thank goodness she found some and brought them to our room about 15 mins later. The floors in the restroom and kitchenette were also very sticky. All in all, we would NOT stay at this location again. read more
