The hotel rooms and common spaces are clean and well maintained. The decor and feel of this Towneplace is different from others we stayed at, which is kind of cool and refreshing change of pace. Being a platinum elite member, the concierge offered our welcome gift and everyone we interacted with was incredibly nice. I worked out at the gym and it was well stocked and maintained. You can see the pool from the gym, too, and that too looked extremely pleasant, with towels waiting, draped on every lounge chair. The only reason to give this a 4 star and not 5 was because we had to ask for fresh towels. For some reason, our towels when we checked in, while very fluffy, smelled a bit like chemicals and cooked meat? Like maybe it was lye? Either way, it gave my partner some skin irritation while drying off and legitimately was off putting. The new towels were fine lol.

Great location directly across the street from Mercy Hospital and several nearby restaurants. We opted to stay and dine @ MidTowne Kitchen & Cocktails located on the first floor. MidTowne Kitchen offers a full service bar with a seasonal menu. Clean hotel, easy to navigate, with friendly staff. I would definitely stay @ this location again when passing through Springfield, Mo.

EV owner don't expect to use the EV charger!!! Non EV park in EV only parking. Employees did tried but Manger seem not to care. They don't tow enforce in the spots I only stayed her because of the overnight charging. Very disappointed! Then they had a 18 wheeler delivered when I was headed to supercharger before the guy started to unload I asked if he could move to let me out. He refused and made a bunch of rude comments to me. The hotel should request new driver. As far as the room it was clean but smaller then other town places. The staff was friendly. They don't seem to put trash bags in the trash cans making them useless but that was not as big of a deal. Because of the impression of the lack of caring by the manger and the policy on the EV spots not being tow enforced. I won't stay here and don't recommend any EV owner do also my current say should be refunded to me for the inconvenience but I sure that won't happen. Very disappointed with the manger lack of caring. If the owner/manger contact me I'll update my post.

Only stayed two nights, but service was great, complementary breakfast was good. COFFEE WAS GREAT. Suite and both rooms were clean and inviting. Location is very accessible to lots of things to di in Springfield and 50 minutes from Branson. There is a Walgreens right across the street and so is a hospital.

For the most part, I enjoyed my stay at Townplace Suites (Marriott Property) from February 2nd to the 4th, and I will strongly consider them again during my next business trip to Springfield. My take: ***** I. BOOKING Why not five stars? Well, I had a few challenges booking with Townplace Suites. First, I never received a confirmation e-mail despite confirming with them over the phone. After a few days with no e-mail, I called back to make sure that I had a room, and they noted that they misspelled my e-mail. (I'm pretty sure the e-mail bounced back.) So, it would've been nice if they followed up. I corrected them, of course. Once I arrive at Towneplace Suites, they also had my last name incorrectly listed on the paperwork I had to sign. Dude, I mean, if I give you my credit card information, and restate both my name and e-mail on the phone, how hard is it to get my name wrong? They need to improve on this. For the record, though, I thought the staff was very nice, and they did let me come into my room at 11am instead of 2 or 3pm (which was the check in time). I appreciated that. II. ROOM It's chic, modern, new, and clean. I especially love the large king-sized bed (more on that later), spacious kitchen (for a hotel), and pristine bathroom. I do think the room could have been better in three ways, though: -Have blackout curtains. -Put the TV in front of the bed, instead of to the left side. -The shower knob is to the right of where it usually is. But why? Lol. The room also came with a robust heating and cooing system, and it was never uncomfortable temp wise. III. BED The most important criteria I have when reviewing a hotel is the bed. And my king sized made me sleep like a newborn. I wish I could bring this one into my own home. IV. OTHER AMENITIES -They have a happy hour and complimentary breakfast. I didn't take advantage of them, though. -Free parking! -It's not part of the hotel, but there's a nice Walgreens across the street. V. PRICES Not bad, but a lot higher than I thought for Springfield. Here's the breakdown: +Room Charge: $169.00 +Occupancy Sales Tax: $8.45 +State Occupancy Tax $12.84 +Total: $190.29 VI. OVERALL As I said, I would totally stay at Towneplace Suites for my next stay. But there are definitely a few areas for improvement.

I was visiting my home town of Springfield, MO over Memorial Holiday weekend for 2 weddings and a 50th Anniversary renewal for my parents. I reserved a 2 bedroom suite here and I was given a suite on the 5th floor of the hotel and the rooms were a great size and we had plenty of space for our long weekend stay. Each bedroom has a TV and there is also a TV in the living room. The kitchen is a nice size with a full size refrigerator, a stove and microwave. Another plus to staying here is the complimentary breakfast every morning. They had sausage patties but sadly for me no bacon served while I was there. The front desk staff and the food service staff are also friendly and welcoming which is always a plus when you're traveling. Something else that I thought was a plus is there is a Walgreens within walking distance (directly across the street) and there are plenty of restaurants and Bass Pro Shop not very far from the hotel. If you are planning a trip to Springfield, MO I would definitely recommend Towneplace Suites or Courtyard. I have stayed at both and they are wonderful.

I'm so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the stylish, contemporary lobby, I felt like I'd walked into a boutique hotel in SoHo. The design is chic, modern, and full of personality. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to get access to my room right away -- a spacious, beautifully appointed room on the fourth floor of the hotel's main building. (Tip: there's a second building across the alley in back, so if location matters to you, be sure to ask which one you're in.) My room was terrific -- upscale furnishings, high ceilings, and a bed so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me. Great mattress, perfect pillows -- everything you hope for in a good night's sleep. As luck would have it, the hotel was celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a lobby reception just as I was heading out to a meeting. The place had a celebratory buzz. When I returned, I made a beeline to Vantage, the rooftop bar, for an Old Fashioned. They were out of Angel's Envy (my go-to), but the bartender made a solid one with Woodford Reserve. A quick evening shower made the rooftop a bit humid, so I headed downstairs to The Order, the hotel's lobby bar -- equally impressive, with a standout liquor selection and, yes, Angel's Envy in stock. Round two. The next morning, I hit their fitness room in the back building, followed by a run through downtown. Afterward, I grabbed a surprisingly good $10 breakfast burrito from the on-site café. My only real quibble: no complimentary coffee in the lobby. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, it's a small thing that would make a big difference. Overall, Hotel Vandivort delivered style, comfort, and a memorable experience. If you're heading to Springfield and want something with personality and polish -- stay here. Highly recommended.

Andrea is always helpful and love the cooked to order items here. The rooms, however, are getting so rundown through the years. My room on the first floor was so muggy, damp and even the carpets were bad. You would not even dare walk on them with bare feet, so gross. Then, the bathroom walls were stained with who knows what. I was there for a week and had two hand towels and one wash cloth. Lastly, Springfield is getting booked up so these rooms can be up to 180/200+ per night which is highway robbery since they are so bad. Sooner or later it will be dropped from the Hilton chain and be made into a Quality Inn or something.

It was cheesy in a completely awesome way. Shove the kids in the wagon & let's hit the open road! Could it be improved on? Sure... but it was clean, comfortably & achieved it's goal. Bonus, it was quiet, despite being along the road. We noted the addition of some new themed rooms, including a lovely western room. I like to see the progress and hope to see refreshes on some of the classics. Breakfast was available & worth skipping. It seriously was not good. I don't mean in the usual subpar hotel breakfast way. I mean that they somehow made a subpar hotel breakfast worse. The biscuits were too hard to too cut &, speaking of cutting, I'm pretty sure they cuz the gravy with water . It was THIN. Even so, no amount of soaking softened the biscuits. The grounds were very pleasant to stroll through. The Route 66 touches were well-integrated, keeping it true to the theme without going overboard. The hot tub has been removed and covered with a deck. It's, again, true to the original era. While checking out the grounds, we overheard staff discussing the importance of, and plan for, improving curb appeal. We truly enjoyed our stay & needed something not so serious, something playful. This hit the mark!

The front desk staff (older lady) came across as dismissive and unwelcoming, making my family feel more like an inconvenience than a valued guest. Hospitality is about more than just having a room available, it's about how guests are treated when things don't go according to plan. A simple explanation, an estimated wait time, or even a friendly acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have made a significant difference. Instead, the interaction left a poor first impression and set a negative tone for the start of my stay. I hope management takes this feedback as an opportunity to reinforce the importance of customer service and guest experience.
