Due to the treatment plan provided by Dr. Bowden, one of my family members now has to have six teeth removed. ​My personal experience with Ranita and their clear aligners was terrible. The aligners are subpar, off-brand quality with virtually no information available about them online. They don't clarify that you aren't getting Invisalign, leaving you to assume you're receiving a name-brand product. The aligners constantly cracked, and when I called the office, Ranita simply told me to keep wearing the broken set until my next scheduled swap. ​When my final set broke, I went in for a new scan, only to be met with months of complete silence. I went back for a second scan, and again, months passed without a single follow-up. ​Frustrated by the total lack of communication and care, I finally moved on and scheduled an appointment with Orthodontic Experts Chicago. They immediately provided the quality care and results I needed. Save your time and money--do not go to Woodlawn Dental Gallery for aligners.

Instead, on the phone, they will say things like, "Let me teach you about dental insurance," which is rude and unprofessional. They will make canceling those weird charges seem like a grand gesture, which is false. In reality, it is an attempt to save face because you called them out. The studio left a bitter taste in my mouth. Incredibly unprofessional, dishonest, and unpolished.

The dentist recommended partials and explained everything, The receptionist was advised to go over the different treatment plans, which ranged from $3000 - $6000. My Dad has to select a plan and sign the estimate. He selected the $3000 plan. Of course he does not want to put "that much money into the gound" as he says, however he wants to keep chewing his food without problems, keep talking to neighbors and his frat brothers with out an odor. The receptionist said she would call his insurance to see what is covered. It is now March 16th and we have not heard from anyone. I will not return to this location. I'm taking my Dad elsewhere. Perhaps to my dentist! I'm certain he'll get better treatment. I stopped going to Chatham Dental after my cap fell off twice.

I attempted to take my daughter knowing that she had strep throat. All she needed was the test and antibiotics. We walked into the lobby where there was only one other person waiting. All of the staff were standing around doing absolutely nothing (like every other time we have tried to be seen) and the lady told me that they reached their quota. That is absurd to me. You're doing nothing but will turn a sick child away because you've reached a quota. The time before this when I tried to walk in and be seen the sign in person suggested the emergency room instead. My child didn't even get to see anyone. This office sucks. The system needs to be revamped. There needs to be an urgent care center on the south side because this center is not a viable option for healthcare.

I don't know if this covers the dental clinic, but more people need to review of this place, it is absolutely terrible and others need to be warned to avoid it. The level of incompetence of the office staff is staggering, and the experience was terrible from start to finish. The website gives you the generic number to scheduling instead of giving you a number to the clinic, so you have to wait on hold for over 20 minutes only to have to be transferred to the another line and be on hold again. My daughter had a 9:30am appointment, she was on time for the appointment (proven by the sign in sheet my husband wrote his name on at 9:30am) but she was marked as a no show because it took the people at the office 30 mins to even call him to check in. When I asked why the appointment was marked as no show, the receptionist or "person in the back" as she called herself, kept trying to INSIST that my child was late. No dear, you verified yourself that my husband signed in at 9:30 am for a 9:30 am appointment, so he was not late. I'm pretty sure he is on someone's surveillance system coming in at the scheduled time. If my husband signed in at 9:30 but you don't check him in until 10am just letting him sit in the lobby wasting time, then you are the reason why the appointment was missed. How dare you try to insist that he was late? If it takes that long to be checked in, then you build that into the appointment time. I'm willing to bet he wasn't even greeted or spoken to until he was called to check in. Every appointment I've ever gone to, I was checked in within a few minutes of arrival not 30 mins later. The "receptionist" didn't even try to apologize for the mishap or clarify the situation, she only continued to to try to make it seem like my husband didn't bring our kid to the appointment on time. Then proceeded to say that she doesn't even know what the "people in the front" do. Do you even know what it is you do? I doubt it. Then had the nerve to ask did I want to reschedule? I could not hang up fast enough. The problem here is that this is clearly some disorganized hoodrat office that has no inkling how a medical/dental office is supposed to work. UIC, you really need to do an audit of your locations because this is unacceptable. Yelp really needs to allow reviewers to give no stars because this place is at the bottom of the barrel.

Great Emergency Care…read more I was able to get an emergency appointment today after breaking a tooth in half. The inside of one of my premolars was hanging loose and I could not even close my mouth or eat. Dr. Maini was patient and compassionate and took the time to explain my options. I decided to go with an implant long term, but in the meantime she skillfully temporarily repaired the tooth so my teeth could come together again. She even used the drill without anesthesia and it was completely painless. I am very grateful for the care I received today. Highly recommend Dr. Maini.
