This company will scam you with hidden fee. Agreed on a price and end up paying almost double . Avoid at all cost .

I was told the person would arrive in 45-60 mins but they came after 2 hours. There was no communication to let me know it will take that long and I put the things I had to go do on hold, waiting for them. Waste of my time tbh. The person finally arrived and they seemed to be pretty confused on what needed to be done. I asked if he could first check if he could repair the tire and do that if possible and he told me he didn't have the tools for that. He could only fix the tire from the outside, not completely - again, not communicated to me before. He ended up just putting the spare on. When bringing the car down from the jack he basically just slammed my car down rather than bringing it down slowly. Overall, communication 1/5 and service 2/5 Another thing for future customers to note. I had my car parked in underground parking and was told it'd be around $40 extra charge for that. I ended up moving my car on the street. The person that came, came in a car smaller than mine ... so not sure what the $40 would've been for because that car could've easily fit in underground parking.

5 stars from this guy! The service was outstanding! I was stuck in downtown with my wife, two kids…read moreand a burnt alternator. We thought it was the starter. We called On The Spot and they sent a technician right away within one to one and a half hours and found out it was indeed the alternator. I read some of the fake negative reviews on here and it's quite disturbing at how far some jealous people are willing to go when they see people do good. Subconsciously, I have no idea how that works. When we phoned the gentlemen that answered the phone highlighted the company rates including what payments they accept. If you look under the CRA rules inspection and diagnostics are tax exempt FYI, I know because I am a retired CA (Charter Accountant). It really shows the guys here aren't doing it just for the mechanical work but also to genuinely help everyone within our communities. You're lucky if you can get your vehicle in a shop right away haha good luck!!! The wait is at least 3-4 days plus having the vehicle towed and not having it for work ends up being even more financially costly when these guys come to you right on the spot. Considering I'm six months in Vancouver and six months in California out of the year and we were on a road trip out here stranded. The bad experience with our vehicle didn't last long so our trip wasn't really affected as it was bed time anyway thanks to these guys. I can keep going but I'll stop I recommend them to everyone! We should all be supportive of these types of essential services offered to our communities! Cheers! Marco

Avoid this business at all costs! Wish I can give zero stars…read more I initially called them to have my brakes serviced and was required to pay $320 upfront. The mechanic, Marco, arrived over an hour late. When he arrived, he was on multiple personal phone calls before starting on my car, even when he was working on my car, he was still taking calls. After a brief inspection, he claimed the actuator and caliper likely needed replacement because the piston was stuck. He contacted a supplier and quoted me over $3,300 for the actuator alone. Later, I discovered the genuine OEM Lexus part only costs around $1,100 directly from Lexus Parts. Marco then told me he know someone who might be able to repair the parts for much less, so I agreed to let him take the parts. He removed the actuator and caliper and left the hose leaking brake fluid - I had to figure out how to stop the leak myself. He promised to update me that evening, but never called. The next morning, I had difficulty reaching him, and after several attempts, he said he needed more time and would call back. This cycle repeated multiple times, with me constantly having to chase him for updates. Eventually, he told me the parts were broken beyond repair. I requested my original parts back, but again he became very difficult to contact. At that point, I genuinely felt like I had been scammed out of expensive components. When he finally returned something, it was an old, rusted part that clearly was not mine and wasn't even the same component. That raised a major red flag. I actually consulted other mechanics even Lexus certified mechanics and they said the parts are probably fixable. I insisted that my actual parts be returned. After several more calls, he claimed his staff had accidentally thrown them away. Despite their mistake, the company refused to offer any compensation towards parts replacement cost, which are nearly $1,600 from Lexus. Meanwhile, my vehicle has been sitting immobile on jack stands in my garage and not drivable. This experience has been extremely stressful and unprofessional from this business. My misfortune should serve as a warning to anyone considering On the Spot Mobile Mechanics services.

Mike is such a genuine honest guy, and has once again helped me out in a pinch. I had to move out of my apartment in mid December and had to get my car out of the building by January 1st. Having a lowered and kitted car in an underground parkade with a slanted exit would probably be enough for other towing companies to pass on the job. Sterling Towing happily showed up and helped me get my car onto the flatbed while navigating an awkward angle and a gate that kept trying to close on the car. Mike and his awesome driver Joe were extremely thorough and made absolutely sure nothing was scratched or damaged. It's also worth noting that since the car was somewhat able to drive Mike even tried to talk me out of getting it towed. However due to repairs needed and not having insurance on the car we agreed to tow it and took it to his dad's shop (KMF Auto, which I also recommend). When unloading the car Mike was on his hands and knees carefully placing 2x4's and inspecting the car every inch of the way down. I'm always blown away by the level of service Sterling Towing provides. When Mike says he cares about your car, he is not bluffing.
