Clifford is amazing! I've done a shoot with him twice and both times he's been a gem. He's super detailed and has an eye for photography. I'm naturally not very good at having my photos taken, but Clifford not only was able to direct me to the right place for the best angle and lighting but also made me feel comfortable enough to be my natural self. I'm a yogi and taking yoga photos may not be the easiest task - 1) because we're usually not warm enough before photos 2) certain poses needs to be held deeper and longer. Clifford was able to identify and even help instruct me into yoga poses that make for better photos. I cannot recommend Clifford enough. He is focused and serious about his work - he aims to take the most perfect photo every time. Not only does he strive for excellence but he is funny, talented, honest, upbeat, energetic and overall just a pleasure to be around. I really needed a photography class before my big Europe trip and I found Cliff's photography class. It was a great workshop and I gained so much knowledge in a short amount of time. I met up with Cliff at Gantry park in NY for a sunset photography lesson and I'm glad I did. After watching dozens of YouTube videos etc, it was Cliffs hands on approach that really made a difference in capturing a detailed shot. I wanted to learn about a camera that I recently purchased. I went on Yelp and among others, Clifford Toy popped up. I read the reviews and decided on Mr Toy. I am glad that I chose Clifford. After some emails We met up down by The Vessel in NYC. Clifford is very nice and willing to show you whatever it is that you may need to use your equipment. I also asked him about my cell phone camera. He showed me some tricks to take successful cellphone photographs. We spent about two hours together. I left feeling more secure with my new found knowledge. He told me that I can get in touch with him anytime. All that I have to do now is practice, practice, practice For me he was worth his fee. Photography has always been one of my passions i wanted to learn all my life so I decided to take one of Cliffs classes. Aside from the fact that gantry state park is a beautiful location, cliff is extremely patient, knowledgeable, informative and creative. With his ability to teach in simple, easy to understand terms. I actually feel artistic! I highly recommend cliff as a teacher and the experience itself has been unforgettable. He also has a great passion for my fav neighborhood and knows these little facts about NYC which made it even more fun. Cliff is really knowledgeable about photography and I was so impressed with everything he taught me. He knows so much about photography with the use of the camera and I was just as impressed with what he knew about photography outside the camera. For example, I was asking him a ton of questions about social media and photography and he explained everything to me about Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and how great photography can make your platform even better. I asked him so many questions and he was so happy to answer all of them. With the camera, he has such a great eye for detail and his timing with when to take pictures in impeccable.
