It is absolutely withering to see so many embittered, dysfunctional people complaining that this store fails to live up to their childhood memories. Inevitably they avoid mentioning their own children's experiences beyond "had a great time" and "we were disappointed." These are damaged adults trying to recover stolen memories, and their writings are not about the existing store or the experiences of children spending time there. It is REALLY easy to bring a child to a bad establishment and stay positive so they leave feeling that they had a great day. If your kid is walking out of a toy store feeling "disappointed," then it wasn't the toy store that did that. It was low functioning fumbling of the child's experience. This a good store that struggles with stock and pricing. If you have been to a Go! store, you know what you're in for. Certainly some constructive criticism is warranted. It's so satisfying and memorable to see Toys R Us reopened! It's fun to wander the aisles to see all the different toys they have today. This Toys R Us is pretty big, but not as big as the ones I've seen before. However, a child can wander the aisles and find PLENTY of toys to beg their parents to buy for them. However, toy prices are pretty high. I think you can find and buy toys at lower prices on Amazon, but the appeal of Toys R Us is that you can shop in person. I'm very excited to see Toys R Us back! Aw. I really enjoyed this place; it felt good to see Toys R Us back and to walk into my childhood. Except it's not. It is nothing like my childhood was; I remember the video games section, playing games on Nintendo and PlayStation, picking out games, and then them holding them in the front. Walking down aisles of so many toys, toys upon toys and more toys, and then you hit the bikes, a whole row full of bikes. This place had none of that. It was great to see a huge store full of toys. My kids loved it and loved the photo ops all over the store, but besides that, it is not the same. Feels like a pop-up place of anything, just toys thrown around, and I don't know, it just did not feel like a Toys "R" Us to me. Plus, toys were not on the cheap side, but some were. It was a mix and match of prices. Some good, some bad, but you know it's good to have a toy store back. We don't have any anymore, so I'm glad it is back even if it is different. I wanted to like this place so bad, but then my wife hit me with the reality that it is just not the same. Oh well, I personally think it is great to have it back, but yes, it is not the same, and yes, it is a bit pricey. We had to stop by this Toys R Us. I love the variety of toys they have and yes , there are many deals going on. i enjoyed how they have a few tables with games to try out. we were entertained for a few minutes. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. You guys need to visit. read more

I really wanted to like this place. And I tried to not have my nostalgia take over, but the experience was just so subpar from every angle. First off, this place feels more like a popup than an actual store. Everything looks temporary, they have a false backing towards the back to make it seem like the space is filled when it's not, and it just feels kinda thrown together. I get that Toys R Us is trying to get back in to the US market, but if this is how they are going to do it, it's not going to work. I did appreciate that they had a little bit of everything, but I could tell everything was marked up. As my kids are huge Lego fans, they gravitated towards that area and I recognized sets that I had purchased for them & saw that they were all several dollars more than I had seen them everywhere else. I can't speak for the other toys, but I would imagine it would be the same for the rest of their inventory. Once again, this is not the way to get repeat customers. I will say that my kids were blown away by such a large store dedicated to just toys, but even they got bored with it fairly quickly and tried to make the best out of the few toy demos they had at the entrance. All of which had either parts missing or were flat out broken. Ultimately we left the store disappointed. I didn't expect this location to be the glorious temple to all things toys Toys R Us was back when I was a kid, but I really expected it to be more than what it was. read more

Excited to see they brought back Toys R Us. So of course I had to check it out. Newly opened at the Camarillo Outlets. Went in the morning when they first opened. It was clean, spacious & not too busy. It's any kids dream, whether young or old. Definitely plenty of nostalgic feels here. Some prices are a tad higher for some items. We had a nice experience at the new Toys R Us store. It's nostalgic for us as we grew up with this store chain. Bringing our son was super fun. The staff was very nice and asked if we needed any help multiple times. We got some nice stickers and found some childhood toys. We even got to meet Geoffrey and take a picture with him. read more

Before I step into the store, I played the original song, " I don't want to grow up. I'm a Toys R Us kids! Bring so much memories. Remembering my local Toys R Us. I really hope this one can stay forever. Kids need Toys R Us. The store is spacious and clean. Not many staff on the floor. I only saw 3 staff including cashiers. Definitely not like your old Toys R Us, packed and filled up with all kind of toys. Few selection of this and that, not everything...yet, so hopefully! Walking in took me back to when I used to take my son to Toys R Us when he was a little child. This place is pretty big and has so many different toys to choose from all ages and the employees are really friendly as well. I did not get to see everything but some of the things I did see where a reasonable price. Great place to stop at for sure. read more

This store is amazing, not sure why other reviewers marked it down. One reviewer complained about the prices not being accurate and updated in their system (well it's a brand new store give them some slack) and the store employees fixed the issue when you go back and show them the receipt easy fix. And another complained about the bathroom issue, big deal plan around it simple as that (have you seen the way people treat bathrooms). Deceitful practices, "50% off of all science and craft kits." This was untrue, employees even took me over to the sign to explain "exclusions apply," and apparently to both kits of mine, even though she explained mine was in the 50% off category. She then took me back to the register and turned her back to me while handing me off to the cashier without honoring the sign or applying the discount, like a brush off of all brush offs. Never coming back here again, super disappointed in this experience and the woman's behavior was unacceptable. Not about to have made a scene in front of my kids, but this was terrible and 0 explanation, just a "deal with it" shoulder turn and ignoring when I asked about the discount. Bummer read more

The Toys "R" Us, I remember was huge and had wall to ceiling selection of toys. You could find anything and everything you could possibly want for a kid. SHOPPERS BEWARE!!! I went here yesterday with my husband and my 3 mo old son, we spent $400 yes people $400. They have signs everywhere that stuffed animals are buy one get one 50% off, same with bubble machines, and a few books. We'll, we get home and I look at the receipt and they charged me FULL PRICE for EVERYTHING!!! then my husband who checked out with something separate before me ( he left to get the car) tells me he had to make the cashier adjust the price because as he said to him oh I guess the sales arent in the system yet. Your own employees don't know what's on sale and are actively ripping people off? SHAME ON YOU TOYS R US FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WITH FAMILIES!!​ No wonder you went out of business in the first place. Get ready for another lawsuit! read more

Very pleased with the new Toys "R Us!! Store is clean and nice. Selection is great. Good size. My main complaint is that there is no bathroom here. You have to go next-door to Panera bread. This is frustrating if you're a mom going with your child. And your child does not want to leave the store and you have to go to the bathroom!! I cannot believe that they built a store for kids without making a bathroom!! This seems very inefficient. read more
