I was told by a jeweler that simple fix was gonna cost. So, I put it away for years. Last night, I looked in my safe for some important papers and the bracelet spoke to me. Told me to have it fixed. This morning I took the bracelet with me while I ran errands and got my car washed. I passed by this jewelry store and pulled in the lot. From the outside it looked like a old pawn shop that needed to be up to code. I was backing out and some thing said "this is the place". I walked in and said good morning. The owner...a black businessman, responded and asked how can he assist me. Told him my situation and gave him my bracelet. He looked at it, got a tool, gave it back to me and said, have a nice day. He blessed me with the milk of human kindness and sent me on my way. I don't know was it my manners when I walked in the store or his kindness....or both, but I am satisfied. Thank you Mr. Burks.

Well the jerk then yelled at me that he was not the owner and we wasn't unlocking the store and hung up in my face . He had to get a room near by so that we could make sure to visit the store in the morning to get the grill my son was not able to try it one had school the next day ... WE DID NOT GET THE GRILL THE SAME DAY WE HAD TO GET A WHOLE HOTEL ROOM JUST SO THAT WE ARE THERE AT OPENING THIS Place is SO SHADY AND LIES ABOUT EVERY THING. Well not only did she listen to the stories about my mom, and helped me asses the value of the ring and gold she had but she helped me design an amazingly beautiful pendant to remember my mom using her engagement ring and we talked about what her life meant to me. I ended up with a compass pendant since mom was my guide and I became hers later in life. Laura even suggested using her diamonds to face east to west for her sunrise and sunset. With a special inscription on the back. However, the patek store is not listed separately here on Yelp I scheduled a service appointment ahead of time prior to arriving at the store because that was required even for a battery change. Leading up to my visit I did call the store to ensure turnaround times as well as cost. Upon arriving at the store, I must say it is absolutely beautiful with obviously only display watches. And the gentleman who helped me branyon was super nice and friendly and helpful. In fact, he even beat the turnaround time that was quoted to me over the phone by the store earlier in the week. He even went above and beyond by offering to show me watches, even though I had not made a separate sales appointment. That was very kind and very tempting of him. I must say unfortunately this trip was not for shopping. It was for a family celebration. I will say if I do ever have to get my watch serviced again I will definitely come back here. Flying to Atlanta from Chicago is barely 2 hours and not expensive at all. And getting to this location is super easy right outside of the city. I wish I had more time during this visit. Otherwise I would have gone into the Brown and Company store, which is right across from the Patek store. Perhaps on my next visit I will and maybe the people who work there will be just as kind and gracious as the staff were here

The guy said he couldn't do it without adding silver, and that it was better to replace it. They tried selling me a bunch of very cheap looking stainless steel and hollow silver wedding bands. When I said I didn't want them, they said they could make the ring bigger, but it would cost $80 - the entire cost of the ring. So I left, went to a small jewelry stand I happened to come across in Northlake mall, and the man there re-sized it perfectly for $30 and was professional and straightforward. I definitely wouldn't go to Flawless Jewelry & Phone Repair unless you know exactly what you need done and how much it should cost, and don't mind dealing with sliminess.
