When I complained, very politely, she pointed to her mask (!) and stated, "It's hard to do that [repackage the bacon] because the gloves keep slipping off." Well get different gloves. I watched the man literally rinse off just his finger tips with just water- not his whole hands- and go to the back where the butchering takes place. I returned the meat I just bought and reported to the Health Department. The meat is delicious. But I'll not be purchasing any.

The pies were fantastic, the cookies were delicious, and the owners were incredibly kind. We even snapped a photo with them, so I'd imagine it's somewhere on their social media pages. The only thing I missed was trying the lemonade vendor set up outside their storefront. I especially appreciate how they use their brick-and-mortar location as a Black business incubator, sharing their space with other entrepreneurs to provide visibility, access, and opportunity. What a wonderful model for supporting the community and helping small businesses grow! Great job! I'm looking forward to stopping by the store the next time I'm in town.

I already know this must be some good food; there were people in cars parked in the Qik Lub parking lot (where Fernando sets up) waiting on their food; lots of cars and if not there, they go to the other parking lot be the Wine and Spirits parking and await their food.
