Now each year when we come to the area, I make sure to get in a trip to Beall's at least once to peruse and shop. Beall's is located right in town in Chiefland, at the end of a strip mall. It shares a parking lot with the other businesses in the strip, but there are always spots available. We visited on a Saturday morning this past July, and had no trouble finding somewhere to park. I have personally never visited this store when there was an overwhelming crowd, but there are usually at least a few others shopping at any given time. It is really the only department-esque store in the town, so I would imagine a lot of locals come here to do their shopping for clothing and home items if they do not want to drive to a more major city. If you have never been to Beall's, I would describe it as a mix between a Burlington Coat Factory/TJ Maxx/Kohl's. They have a healthy selection of clothes for all (men, women, children), home decor, accessories, house supplies, gifts, and more. It is definitely a store you can spend some time in just looking around at all of the different selection and variety of items. It also seems like the inventory rotates, so you never quite know what you will find, which is part of the fun! The prices and value here are fair. I would compare it to that of a TJ Maxx in this regard. It is considered an outlet, so presumably they will have brands at slightly lower prices than you may find in a department store. Anytime I have visited this location, the staff have been friendly and helpful. I have never had bad service, nor have I personally ever heard of anyone else having bad service here, either! I am glad that this store exists in Chiefland. As stated, there is not really another store like it in the town or general area, so it is great for those who do not want to drive a significant distance for a new outfit or something for their home. They always have a healthy selection and variety, along with great service. I will definitely be back the next time I find myself in the Chiefland area!

Going through some of the nicer pieces of my jewelry, I came across a sapphire necklace. I wanted to gift the necklace however, it needed to be restrung. I decided as long as it needed to be restrung we could add 3" to the extender (silver beads) and give it more wardrobe options. I had been to Mitch's once before to have a necklace & bracelet adjusted and found them to be efficient and priced fairly. I brought my necklace in. I paid upfront and spoke to Mitch about what I was looking to have done. Within a week I was called and told my necklace was ready. What was returned to me was incredible! The clasp was replaced with one more fitting the stones, and the extension was done with gorgeous, brown pearls, sized perfectly to complement the tiny stones. If I had seen this necklace as it is now, I never would have decided to gift it. I told Mitch what I wanted, and he gave me back so much more. Thank you Mitch!

The delivery date we requested was available. I walked in for one thing and left with more. I LOVE THIS SHOP! I am a big believer in shopping local. This one is an easy choice. I found this little gem of a shop on the main travelled route through Chiefland and stopped in. I was greeted by the owner, Rebecca, who was pleasant and very knowledgeable. After explaining my desires, she showed me her large showroom which included many options for my price point. She helped me settle into to a decision and we secured a transaction. For a nominal fee, she arranged to have her delivery crew remove the old mattress (free delivery, by the way!). The two-man delivery crew was friendly and expedient. They came and left with a smile. I would recommend this shop for anyone in the Chiefland area.
