There was only an already build hutch, not one in the box. Michelle helped me load the hutch into the back of my suv on this VERY hot day. Unfortunately it didn't fit. She went inside and grabbed a screwdriver. Helped me take off one leg section etc. for it to fit inside my SUB. She stayed with me the entire time and piece by piece helped me put into my smaller sized suv. Michelle's dedication to customer service went above and beyond especially helping to great extent outside in 90° weather when she could've left me to deal with the hutch I already purchased on my own. People like Michelle are sadly very rare these days and I'm beyond grateful for her kindness and assistance. If corporate see's this review I hope she is acknowledged fully for her great work. As employees like her are what keep people coming back instead of choosing many other stores with similar merchandise. Thanks again Michelle.

I have a customer receipt from 8/24 offering TSC pellets at $5.69 a bag with an additional $25 off for a total of $284.50 per ton. In my area, Westford MA the same TSC hardwood pellet product is being sold @ $6.79 per bad discounted by the ton the total is $329.50. The difference is $45 per ton and I intended to purchase 5 tons saving me the buyer $225. However, I called TSC corporate and spoke with a rep who told me they would not price match despite their website claiming they would. I would like to report they claimed honoring price match is at the discretion of the store manager and not what corporate policy clearly dictates on the website. I told them I have a receipt I will gladly submit and they would not take it, denying the price is relevant. My request to speak to someone higher up in leadership was also denied. Decent selection of toys, leashes, etc. Prices are reasonable. Today I was looking for a new hoe to tackle weeds that, of course, are doing better than my perennials after this brutal winter. They didn't have the stirrup hoe I was wanting, but found something that will do just as well. Saw some lovely pansies and violas and couldn't resist the uplifting colors. Nearly picked out some herbs from the greenhouse (locally grown in New England) but with a lingering risk of frost, I'll hold off a bit longer. The checkout counter has been relocated since my last visit awhile back. It's moved from the right side back wall to more in the center of the store, allowing for more than one customer to be cashed out at a time speeding things up a bit, but the store is crammed full, so still a tight squeeze at busy times. A few weeks after I spread the mulch on my garden a healthy crop of oat grass sprouted where I had spread the mulch. I called the store about the problem and the store representative blamed the problem on me, saying that I did not apply the product correctly. That is untrue. More importantly, the store representative refused to allow me to return the second unopened bale because I had not kept the receipt for the product. Very disappointing customer service from a store that sold a clearly defective product and refused to take any responsibility for doing so. Customers beware.

I call them they say call corporate, so I do. They see the mistake and I was told it was adjusted, I say thank you. Three days later I look online at my visa. No adjusted price. I called, looking for a specific Purina dry dog food, and he didn't have it, but special ordered it for me - it was in in a matter of just a few days. I expected it to be more expensive than the big box pet stores in Concord. I was pleasantly surprised that he beat their price for an 18 pound bag by a couple of bucks. He explained that he tries his best to give customers a better price than most places charge, so he cuts into his profit a bit too do it! You don't find many business owners doing that these days! She responded by saying she thinks they turn the lights on around 5:00pm and that there are so many price changes that they can't keep up with pricing products...REALLY?? I work in retail myself. If you care about your job/store and making sales, clean the place up. I will drive out of my way from now on and shop at the Rochester NH store which is CLEAN, well PRICED AND have the store lights ON with super FRIENDLY employees.
