I had a disappointing experience at Tractor Supply Company during a recent purchase of a $3,000 machine. While checking out, the staff at the register strongly encouraged my boyfriend to apply for a store credit card to receive 10% off. When he agreed to consider it, he was asked for detailed personal financial information, including income and housing costs. He felt uncomfortable sharing that level of detail and chose not to proceed with the application and instead paid in cash. After that, he asked about a veterans discount and provided his ID.me verification, but was told it didn't qualify. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming after he declined the credit card offer. Overall, we were disappointed with the customer service, especially given the size of the purchase. I paid for a blackstone grill over $300. And paid for next day delivery, and still have not gotten my product. I got an email saying the driver couldnt fit it in his car. ( Who delivers large items in a car anyways, thats the reason I paid for next day delivery because it wouldn't fit in my car! ) anyways they said I needed to contact tractor supply and reschedule a delivery. I call Tractor supply and they claim they hire third party drivers and they show the driver has it to contact the driver. I have no clue who the driver is or how to get ahold of him. I contact roadies the third party company who hires the drivers and keep getting a run around that the delivery was canceled and they have nothing more to do with it. Tractor supply is saying they dont have the grill and so now im waiting for a " manager" to contact me but thats been 2 days now and nothing. Its a back and forth he said she said BS. I just want my grill period. I will never purchase anything from tractor supply again. They are rude and unprofessional. I guess my next call will be to lawyer because thats just to much money to lose. This is simply ridiculous!!! Come on Tractor Supply get your shit together. read more

Customer service is a hit and miss. With all the women working there, I believe it depends on the day of the month. And every time I go there, someone is bitchy to me. Worse, three times ... that's three times, I have ordered something to be picked up, then find out later it is unavailable. Their inventory might say 6 in stock, or 10 in stock, but after payment info and hitting submit ... Later I get a text saying it's out of stock or unavailable. I went one time to find out what is going on and they said the items were recently moved to storage, even though it was a seasonal thing and definitely the season was not over. I'm going to the location next time I'm close by and let them watch me uninstall my TSC App. I will never do business with them again. Never. But I doubt they care. Especially if it's the wrong time of the month. read more

dropped in to pick up a wire brush about half hour before closing. I was told I had to wait (something to do with a cash register I guess) bad because I was paying cash. waited 10 minutes. Got in line again and waited while the slowest clerk in the world was ringing up a lady. seemed like he didn't understand the pricing and pay process, as he kept having to ask the one other employee for help. finally (20 mins in), I gave up. This review is specifically for Candace and her great customer service. I have been looking ALL over for a special primer to do a craft project and everywhere is sold out. I ordering from stores near me and the wait is almost a month. I happened to find in searching afterwards that this TSC had 2 in stock at a reasonable price so I made an order for pick up. This morning my order was cancelled and I did not know why. When I looked online I still saw 2 gallons in stock, so I almost made the hour drive but decided to call first. Candace (sorry if I am not spelling that right) answered and was so friendly and helpful. She double and triple checked and found out that the two they had in stock were damaged. I still wanted them so she checked on that too but unfortunately was advised they cannot sell damaged stuff for hazmat type reasons which totally makes sense. Although I am still on my search for the primer, I really appreciate her going above and beyond and being so patient and friendly the whole time. I hope she is recognized for her amazing customer service and attention to detail! P.S. I just looked up the spelling of her name because I did not want to butcher it and it says her name means "glowing", so she was very aptly named :) read more

I had a bad experience with the so called "manger" of all people. I was needing a swamp cooler filter and the nice guy that was helping me wasn't sure if they had any. He ask me to wait a minute for the manager. A few minutes later the manager comes walking in typing/playing on his phone. The worker guy asked him the question for me. The so called "manger" just yells no! Then keeps dorking around on his phone. It was very rude and unprofessional! Sorry, to bother you dude. I won't come back and do it again! read more

Love this store! Everyone is so nice and helpful. They are an excellent resource. Their stores are alway packed full of everything you need for animals big and small and for farm ad ranch supplies to warm gloves in the winter time. Western clothes and boots. They don't seem to be over priced and you get credits $$ back after spending certain amount. Lots of sales. Even the customers are nice and helpful too. If I lived closer to the store I would probably be in there everyday. I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Most of the time, it's been a good experience. One time, I had gotten bedding for my critters and when I got home, I realized there was a blue liquid all over the packaging and had gotten on me and my leather truck seat. Thankfully my seats are dark, but still it freaked me out because I did not know what it was. I called and they were able to confirm it some kind of pond chemical that an employee accidentally spilled. Thankfully it didn't get on the bedding itself, as i needed for that day and it was the only bag I could find. But it took a couple days for the blue to wash off my hands. read more

When this business opened, and even while they were building it, I thought "we need this like a hole in the head". Boy, was I wrong. My family first shopped there when my sons found out they were having a great sale on gun safes. Since then I have found they have a lot of other great buys, plus a wonderful selection in the home and farm, western wear, pet food and supplies and other departments, and also plants. Last week I also got great half off prices on outdoor plants, about a dozen different kinds. But the truly wonderful thing about this store is their service. Last week I called them about push brooms. Somebody immediately answered the phone, went to the section and told me exactly what they had which was half a dozen styles or so, their prices and some of their features. Try that at Lowe's or Home Depot, if you can ever GET a live person on the phone. They have truly earned my business, and the shopping experience is SO superior to any other store of its kind that I've seen that I now go there very often. There are plenty of employees at all times who are attentive and act like they actually care whether you get what you want, believe it or not. When I've been wrong, I admit it. I was sure wrong about this place. The name is misleading, and right now it's the best kept secret in Amador County. read more

I purchased some cat litter and cat food online that was to be picked up by someone else. I currently live in Texas and had some difficulty ordering what I needed online. After I purchased the items I received the email that my order was accepted and that I'd be notified when it was ready to be picked up. 30 minutes later I received an email that an item was canceled without any explanation. I called the store and was transferred to Doug. He was very friendly and explained that they were out of one of the items then comped me a similar item for my trouble. I went to this store location and have been here many of times as have my family we are loyal customers and have spent a lot of money in this store, however today we had the worst service ever first the guy that was supposed to be getting something from the back was all over the place acting like he was on something and he was very rude when we told him that what we were waiting on was in the back he said I know where it is and it's in the front he blew by us and kept going then came back because it wasn't there, we tried nicely to repeat ourselves saying your manager said it's in the back he almost hit us with his flat cart and ignored us. When the manager said you are still waiting you made it back we told him of our experience and he was just as rude we told him the guy was acting like he was tweaking and he acted like he was on something and he said don't you say that about him and raised his voice at us. Mind you this is the manager Brian spice is what he said his name was all I know is this guy should not be managing anything except maybe his anger worst experience ever we will never go back to Jackson tractor supply!!!!!! And I am contacting corporate there are people that would love to have that position he's in and would treat people a lot better sorry but I don't come to spend over 600 dollars at a time to be treated disrespectfully!!!!!! read more

Wanted to get some Rhode Island Red chicks but prefer to do business with local stores rather than chains when I can. The Feed Barn ran out of chicks from one shipment before I could make it in. Their next shipment hadn't arrived by Saturday so whether there would be any alive to sell from that shipment come Monday was questionable. So I called Tractor Supply Company. I spoke to a helpful employee named Chris. He said they had the chicks I was looking for. I wanted to check the chicks out before purchasing. I was happy to see that they were cordoned off so the public couldn't get too close, potentially infecting the birds with disease. The chicks were alert, peeping and vigorous. I spoke to Chris and he seemed to care about the birds and was knowledgeable. So I was very satisfied to be able to get the chicks that I wanted. I also noticed that their layer feed is Dumor (I heard that it is made by Purina for TSC) is about 15% less than the chicken food at the other feed store. TSC has a nice variety of chicken goods. Later I noticed that my thermometer was missing and concluded that I left it at TSC. When in town I went in and asked if they found it. Though the store was busy, the employeed courteously did a quick look for it, and when he couldn't find it said that I could go get one for free off their shelf. I sure didn't expect that, and thought it was very kind. Fortunately, before taking one of theirs, I realized that my thermometer was in my pocket! Very positive experience. I'll never shop here again. Other TSC have been great but not this one. An employee was walking around the store with no mask on. I told her that I'd appreciate it if she would wear her mask. She said sure and walked away without putting her mask on. I then told her that she wears the mask to protect people like me who are at risk. Still did not put on the mask. I then told her she was rude and selfish and can I speak to her manager. It turned out Her manager was next to her. The employee did finally grudgingly put on her mask. I looked around and others were wearing masks only covering their mouths. I'll be reporting them to the county and to the corporate headquarters. Interesting variety, but like most chain stores they cherry-pick what they'll stock so it isn't as useful as you might need. Today I wanted some crimp on bullet connectors which come in 2 sizes: ".156" & ".180" dia., also in male & female genders, and in a range of wire sizes, usually indicated by the color of the insulated sleeve (red, blue & yellow, spanning 10ga - 22ga). The ".180" are the size used with SAE connectors on vehicles. The only offering in the store was a package of ".156" male in blue - not close to what I needed: ".180" male & female in yellow (10ga). They did have the hyperdurmic syringe & needles to dispatch a skunk. Most of their prices are exceptionally high for a chain that can buy in large volume and pass those savings along to me. As a result, I'm more inclined to shop online, since this is a 20 mile round trip. read more

Great place to shop. Staff is always helpful and show you where you need to go when your looking for something. Prices on dog food and supplies are the best prices locally. They have the cutest yard decoration and I can barely get out of there without buying some cute stuff. My husband buys all his Carhart clothing there for great prices. read more

Unfortunately... not a good experience. I drove the 35 minute drive to Tractor Supply in Jackson after reading up on Jonserud chain saws. I looked them over and compared the specs with other name brands then went to checkout and told the checker that I wanted to purchase a chainsaw as well as two chains, bar oil and fuel mix. These items were security locked so I needed help. He radioed for assistance and said someone would be up to help. I stood there for what seemed like 15 minutes and was ignored. So unfortunately... I purchased a competitors brand elsewhere. I have a previously been satisfied with this store but for now at least they have lost me. read more
