I've been getting vaccinations with this company since I've gotten my dog. The prices are affordable compared to other places. You book online, and arrive to the designated area with your emergency light on. Once a staff member checks you in, you then get in line with your pet for their vaccinations. I've had good experiences and the staff work with you if you need to cancel or reschedule. We couldn't find the location and a staff member had called to help us. I personally like this service and I plan to continue getting my dogs vaccinations here. read more

I would give this company no stars if I could. I never had problems with this clinic until the last time I went there. The staff was really late. I did not complain and was patient with their tardiness. They gave my dog her shots close to my car but then told me to leave my dog in the car to then go away from my car to get my cat's vaccinations. It was a distance from my car. I did not want to leave my dog unattended for a long period of time in the heat. When I went up to the area where my cat would get their shots, the staff was still not close to being ready which was good that I did not leave my dog in the car. When an elderly male employer came up to me to help me, he was dazed and confused. He was looking around in different directions as though he was trying to get things ready. He looked down at my dog and raised his voice at me that my dog needed to be in the car. I told him I could not leave my dog in the car because she would overheat in the car. He screamed at me as he was pointing at me for other stuff members to look at me and what I was doing. Finally, he told me that I could move my car closer to me. Still yelling at me. I did as he asked me to do. When I came back with my car and pets, he administered the vaccine for my cat. Then took his time going through the paperwork. Much slower than the staff has for me in the past. Then he handed the paperwork to me but refused to let it go. I asked him nicely to let the paperwork go. He wouldn't. He held the documents tighter. When I looked it showed that I would have to pay another 65.00. I emailed to let them know it felt like false advertisement. I told them they need to be clear and show what would be expected up front. Toni emailed me back and didn't like that I was upset and said due to my email and threats to write this, the doctor will not allow me to return. I am now seeking a spot to pick up the second series. I took my dog to Folsom recently for a vaccine and I was pretty alarmed at what I saw. The vet (older guy with sandals) was very aggressive and yelled at customers as well as staff members. I wanted to leave but I already paid so I stayed until my dog got her shot. But I won't be returning, vet was rude and quite unfriendly. He seems very unhappy and tries to make others around him unhappy as well. Sad. read more

2 stars because I have been here two times before and it was nothing like it was today. If it wasn't for the prior positive experiences, it would be 1 start for sure. My dog is small/medium sized but has some anxiety around new people. I couldn't hold him due to him possibly squirming during the shots so I asked to have him standing. I was told to bring my dog over to the mobile station and when I went to go get him, the vet surprises us by approaching my car which scares my dog. Already not a great start. The vet also does nothing to make himself seem less threatening and is very loud and aggressive when he approaches. He also hovers over behind my dog and makes himself seem big which is a huge no when approaching anxious dogs. He kept trying to get behind my dog too and out of his eyesight which freaked him out even more. I try to hold my dog still, but the vet starts making these huge motions as if my dog is going to bite him and it doesn't help in making my dog any less anxious. My dog ends up squirming and the vet starts yelling as if he was going to bite him and them leaves to get another shot. He approaches again acting the same way as he did before and my dog is already upset from the initial confrontation. Again, the vet does nothing to make himself seem less threatening and hovers again. He makes me clamp down on my dogs head and does the second shot. He ends up scaring my dog so bad he has an accident and then blames me for feeding him breakfast in the morning. I honestly would've assumed that someone who has been a vet for so long would be able to tell which dogs need a little more bedside manners when approaching them. Of course there will be some people that read this review and not believe what I say. But those that have anxious dogs will understand that sometimes they just need a second to warm up before being approached/handled. This mobile clinic is the equivalent of a chop shop. They just want to get animals in and out like its some kind of manufacturing line without any care for the comfort of your pet. For the price point, it's great to just get your vaccines. But I'm not sure if I will come back if I can't avoid this vet next time. The last two times I brought my dog was totally fine and everything went well. Was told by staff member who checked my dogs in at the car to go stand by the green cones, so I did. I was yelled at by the vet "only one pet at a time" I said i have no help 2day & I'm not going to leave either one of them in a hot car! I informed him staff told me to come stand here. He said they have to check first. If staff is not trained properly how is that MY fault. I did exactly as i was told & the vet is yelling at me the customer. This vet is completely unprofessional. He has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen. During our interaction he was extremely rude, yelling contradictory directions and becoming further agitated when we couldn't guess what he wanted us to do. His staff instructed us to wait in our car and to wait to bring our dog out but then he signals us to drive up instead. As we try to accommodate him, he starts yelling at us to reverse into the spot. However, that's not what he wanted and proceeds to yell at us to parallel park. At this point he yelling at us and approaching our dog who is beginning to squirm with all the commotion. My dog is sitting on the back part of the SUV but he tells my mom and wife to pick him up. Mind you, my mom is nearly 70 years old. So they pick him up and are trying to place him on the ground, thinking the vet wants him out of the car. At this point they are trying to keep our dog calm because he is still yelling "put him down, pick him up, hold him down" when he shouts "What is wrong with you guys?" He administers the vaccines and asks "Does she speak English?" referring to my wife. He was absolutely out of line with what we feel are racist comments and even his staff was shocked at his unprofessional interaction with my family. This is not our first negative interaction with this vet and caution you to be aware. Seemed to me they were a bit disorganized. I followed everything according to the info sheet and unfortunately if it's your first time bringing your pet there and the line dies down they'll notice acknowledge you. Your appointment time is isn't significant because they will take whoever arrives first. Once they noticed me I was approached by a young gentleman who was very helpful. Avoid this place and spend the extra money going to a different vet. I have been to their Sacramento clinic on Freeport twice. The first time was great. The second time, the vet was a man that approached my dog as threateningly as possible. He never greeted her and made himself as big as possible, which of course scared her. Then he blamed us and decided not to vaccinate her. It wasn't just us, there were a ton of cats in distress. I would've preferred for one of the staff to vaccinate her, even if they have no training. This dog and cat shot clinic is no frills. If you have a skiddish cat or dog, I would NOT recommend going here. If your cat/dog can handle a lot of other dogs/cats around without getting agitated, I think it's fine for you. My dog would not be able to handle coming here for regular shots, even though I think it's pretty awesome. My mom got a cat that I ended up having to get shots for. The shots are very affordable and the clinics they hold consist of a trailer and a folding table. It's quite bare bones, but for what it is that you need, it's fine. Dogs are not allowed out until the vet calls for them - This cuts down on incidents with the animals getting too riled up. This is printed clearly on their website and on the forms that they hand to you. If you don't listen, you will get yelled at. It's for the safety of everyone, including you and your pet. Please listen to the veterinarian and his people! They are here to help. Cats can go straight in line, provided they are in a carrier. The whole experience took about 20 mins and was quick. My mom's cat was in and out and back to being his old jerk self in a jiffy. I like the doc. He's proficient and quick at what he does and tries his best to get the cats and dogs names. He's busy guy though, so the fact that he even tries to remember and talk to them is really sweet. I appreciate this business and what they do. read more

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The service vehicles were late for the "appointment" time, which was to service several people at once, not just you & your pet. It's first come first serve. Several people who arrived after me were seen before me. There was an instructional text sent but it was late, so no one knew what was going on - it was unorganized and untimely. The staff seemed irritable that questions were being asked & they barked at you to just stay in your car. The staff member administering the vaccines were not gentle at all with my 4 month old puppy. They jabbed her hard and it was upsetting to watch. Not how I would want my puppy to be handled. My maltipoo received two vaccines, simultaneously & was hurt by the jab. She wouldn't let me pick her up for the remainder of the day. She was extremely lethargic & slept the remainder of the day. A "normal" side affect, they called it. Then my puppy ended up vomiting (twice every night) for the following 2-3 weeks. When I called the contact given on the website to report side affects, they denied that it was an affect of the vaccines & instructed me to take her to see a vet. Something I could have done without contacting their "help line". The vet on staff didn't even offer to see my dog to determine the cause. Personally, I would rather pay more for better care of my fur friend. This service is for fast in and out service, not quality care. I wish I had a video recording of how it all went down. read more

I just canceled my appointment for 3 shots for my cat. The cat is friendly but skittish and does not like being handled. Having never used this mobile vet I decided to find out if the the shots would be done in an enclosed area. I was told to bring a harness to hold onto the cat as the shots would be done in the open. This cat would not tolerate a harness nor did I expect to be holding it down for the shots in an open parking lot. My complaint is there is no mention on their otherwise detailed web site of what to expect about their setup and what is expected of the owner. I imagined a large van (Mobile) or tent with an appropriate enclosed setup to administer the shots and any other services they provide. I asked him nicely if he could give the four shots individually instead of holding all four syringes together and giving them at same time. News flash: dogs bark! He then started lecturing me on blood vessels and shots in a condescending manner like he's a well educated person. I asked if he's having a bad day because of the way he talked to me and he never answered me. He's has zero, non existent people skills, ignorant and VERY RUDE. I'm a medical professional and if I give a shot to a patient I have to aspirate a bit to make sure I did not hit a blood vessel before I give the medication... it's standard practice... never seen a veterinarian holding four syringes all together and giving them at the same time... pure laziness. So I schedule for my puppy to get her shots. The initial appointment sign up was great not issues. However when arriving to the get the shots I had issue finding where we were suppose to go I drove around the entire parking lot. The directions say to the business is behind the Well Fargo. After 15 minutes of driving back and forth and not seeing any signs I called the number I found when doing my google search. The phone automation doesn't have an option for basic customer service so I hit whatever number I thought would get me to a person to help explain where we were to go. I don't know who answered the phone but apparently I chose the emergency option . They asked what my emergency was and I stated it wasn't an emergency but a general questions. Before I could say anything else the lady on the phone started yelling very aggressive like telling me repeatedly this is the emergency line and that I need to get off the phone. I tried explaining that there isn't another number for me to call and just need assistance with finding where we are suppose to go. Nothing I read indicates they are a Mobile company. I asked the lady again can you just tell me the vicinity and again she is yelling that she can't help me at all and why would I call the emergency line . Geez, once I get off the phone and start to drive off my 9 year old points out that there are people standing in the parking lot with their dogs. This is when I notice that the mobile station had arrived. All in all my dog got the first vaccinations but this experiment was horrendous. read more

I have taken my 15 lb Mini doxie here for 3 years and we also take our new addition, 11 lb mini doxie. We have never had any issues, the vet is great. A few tips though; arrive early to get in line, bring someone with you do they can stay in the car with your animal, and do not bring your animal out until the vet oks it (due to all the dogs both large and small he wants to keep them separate and safe). I've been going to this place for the past 4 years and it's so quick and convenient to make the appointment. They are a mobile vet so just make sure you check their schedule and plan accordingly. So far, their services is the best and cheapest around my area (Rancho Cordova). They do not charge a "visit" fee, only charge for services you request. There are vets on site for recommendations. Due to COVID, they are requiring you to park and turn on your hazard lights for check in and the staff will come up to your window and assist. All the staff are very thorough. Big thanks to Max for accommodating our last minute changes. Ben is always very quick and gentle with giving shots. They all do care and love pets. I had to drive around and around, and then go into what looked like a back alley. Even getting to the alley, cars were all over and there was no indication to stay in the place in line, where your car would be when you turned the corner, or where to go from there. No apparent spaces. Overall, I did not feel safe. I read Balutpwr's review, and find that it is consistent with my experience of an apparent lack of social and personal skills. Also I had similar experience to Sarah G. (Both reviews are one star). Quite a few one star reviews! I experienced that the owner veterinarian was very confrontational, aggressive and impatient towards me with very poor people skills directed at me. I perceived and found in my experience that he was rude to me. That was my experience. Only my personal views and my experience here. Yours may be different. This is still the best way to get your pets vaccinated and get heartworm medication. They have adapted for COVID-19 in that their locations have been narrowed down and you must make an appointment. I arrived at the Citrus Heights location today 10 minutes early, wearing a mask per their directions. While waiting in my car, one of the techs came to check me in, another to take payment, and when the vet was ready, called over to bring my dog for his shots. My HB waited at the car with our second dog, and she was vaccinated next. All done in 10 minutes or less! Fantastic service and I am grateful that Yolano Veterinary Service is available! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Almost three years ago, I rescued two beautiful and loving tuxedo kitties. I took them to get their first shots at this place because the cost was low, and they were close to my house. The vet was insensitive, rushing, and rough. He did not introduce himself or have on gloves! He pinched the rears of my kittens and basically shooed me off. 24 hours later, one kitty was doing great, but the other one was struggling. She would not eat, drink, and even collapsed on the floor breathing shallowly. It was terrifying to watch an innocent cat go through that. I was unable to get an answer from this vet, so I took my kitty to a nearby vet hospital that is thankfully shut down because they were horrible too. Long story short, my sick kitty was given an extremely strong dosage of the vaccine that her young body couldn't handle. A week after getting her shots from this incompetent vet, she took her final breath in my arms. SO thankful that my other kitty is thriving and healthy, and also under the care of a significantly more caring vet. read more

Yolano Veterinary Service began as a large animal mobile practice in 1978 and has been under the same ownership ever since. A tip for owners of nervous cats: If the cat and carrier is left in the vehicle where the cat will not see people and other animals the cat is less likely to be distressed. Also, when bringing the carrier to the vet, it helps to drape a towel over the carrier so the cat can't see what is going on. A final cautionary note: As the deteriorating economy has brought out some people who are unfamiliar with our clinics, we occasionally find it a challenge to maintain compliance with our single most important rule. It is imperative that all dogs remain in the owner's vehicle until called for by the veterinarian. A disclosure regarding this rule is included on the vaccination paperwork to be initialed by the owner before paperwork is completed. Anyone who will not co-operate with this single most important rule will be refused service and immediately sent away from the clinic. This has got to be the best shot clinic I've been lucky enough to stumble across! I think the only thing that would make it 5 stars is if they were available for a longer time slot or had a set location, but you can't have it all right... Really though, when you follow the rules, (come on time, keep dogs in the car until called up by the vet, keep cats in the carrier) this clinic runs like a well oiled machine. You can have multiple pets vaccinated in no time at all, thats a huge achievement in itself plus their prices are more than fair. (They even offer a multiple pet discount, and good rates on wormer / flea meds) They recently got a website w/ the ability to log in and keep track of your pets shot records which comes in handy when you have multiple like me & records are required for licensing. Bottom line is, all of the staff that I've come in contact (over 5 years) have been kind and helpful, these guys are in it for the right reasons and it really shows, thats hard to find now days. read more
