The usual boutique pet shops I frequent do not sell pets, even the amphibian varieties. Trying to remain open minded, I began walking up and down the aisles. The bearded dragon caught my attention when it kept tapping on the glass as if it were trying to catch my attention. As soon as I walked over to it, it stopped tapping on the glass. I turned to see what other creatures were for sale, and I will be darned it started doing it again. I do not know anything about this species but this one sure appeared social. But I digress. The square footage of the store is on the small side when compared to the average pet chains. Despite the size limitations, they attempt to carry items for all categories of pets, which is a negative. In their attempt to stock items for dogs, cats, fish, small mammals, etc., they have to make tough choices on which items and brands to carry. Sadly, this meant that the brands of food and and toys my pets enjoy did not make the cut. I hope Lexington Pet Place meets the needs of others. The employee I met seemed like she really likes all breeds of animals and is eager to assist any customers entering the door.

I've seen places offer towels, brushes, scrubbers, 10+ shampoo options, conditioners, nail clippers, grooming scissors, and had folks working there just to help and monitor the tubs specifically - all for $19. While their set up is decent - $20 is an insane price for a single use. No towels, 4 shampoo options, a handful of brushes, and the two tubs with dryers. I'd recommend going to Tractor Supply in Waynesboro for $10 with essentially the same set up for half the cost. The most I'd pay for their set up would be $15 just because the equipment is nicer.

I've picked him up from groomers still wet. I was able to take extra time so that he left dry! It was such a relief as he gets hot spots when not fully dried. It's the first time he's been groomed and not spent the rest of the day itchy.

I scored an Ella Moss top for 30 dollars on clearance, and Free People jeans that make my a** look fantastico. The southern ladies that run the shop are super helpful and hospitable. If I am ever down in Lexington again I will hit up this place for sure. In fact I may have to go back tomorrow before the wedding I am in town for to get that totally cute plaid coat I saw.....
