Located in Short Pump, in a strip mall plaza, upon entering I was greeted by a pleasant woman who helped me choose the perfect seeds for winter feeding. She mentioned that they "recycle" their gift cards by reselling them and reloading them. Everything was well organized and tidy, however the selection isn't as wide as other " yard birding" shops. The inventory consisted of some feeders, birdhouses, bird baths and bird accessories, but if you are looking for something unique, you may be barking up the wrong tree. Displayed were some good deals on clearance, so check that out. I purchased a nut and seed bag and some suet. The prices were higher than I expected. In a "finch", I'd shop here again, but I prefer my local store for my yard birds!

When I asked further if there was another product similar because I stated people use it all the time, she hung up on me. THAT is unprofessional. So, I looked online and sure enough, they have it! All associates should be knowledgeable about all their products and if they are unfamiliar, they should ask another associate. I certainly will continue shopping there because they are convenient and generally carry whatever I need. But this associate does not reflect the way TSC operates and needs further training.

We usually go to Pleasants Hardware because, well, it's pleasant, but since this store just opened up in a strip mall near us, we decided to check it out. We were sent a mailer for a free key, so we thought we'd get a new key made. While 3 employees were trying to figure out the machine, we piddled around and got a few necessities, lightbulbs, batteries, bird food, etc. The guys working there didn't seem to know their stuff. They were pulling out manuals and we waited for what seemed like an eternity. My hubby was growing a beard waiting! Finally, we were told they didn't have our key, and it wouldn't have been free anyway because it was a car key. The flyer did not indicate any exclusions. Then they said "just house keys", but then they said our house key was different and they didn't do those either. What a joke. We left the items on the counter and left disappointed. Their flyer needs to specify which keys are included in the freebies! Or add the wordage "exclusions apply". Who's your marketing person? As my Yelp friend, John G. commented, they don't have the keys to success! Anyway a few days later, I told my sister that I still had they coupon for a free key, so we thought we'd give them another chance. I don't like to leave one star reviews unless my experience is truly awful, and I like to give businesses an opportunity to redeem themselves before I make a judgment. Sadly, more disappointment ensued. Again, it took 3 people to get the keys made and they cast us aside to assist other customers while we were next in line. We were appalled. Terrible customer service! When we said something about letting people go in front of us, the guy made excuses before he apologized. We took the keys from the pseudo-apologetic employee and when he said "come see us again" another guy said "I doubt they'll be back". That's one thing they got right.
