I go into tractor supply everyday like most people go into Walmart. I know all staff by name and work ethic. Today the female manager was very rude. While an associate was trying to help me she call him and said "I know yall like talking but you need to get to work." This young man was trying answer a question for me. I made it known to the 3 other staff that she was rude. They tried to defend her. I told them it didn't not matter who was helping me she was rude. I am a customer and other customers see how she picks and chooses who she will work with. This store has great employees. I can call them by name. I love this store. I can't afford everything in it, but there are a number of things I can afford. I buy all my dog food here because they stand behind their products. Anything related to pets, shop here, by all means I would shop around when you have to buy something of any nature , but especially when buying items that you buy on a normal basis. Don't forget that they have some of the regular vaccination shots that your animals will require on a regular basis for good prices. I injured my back last year and cracked or broke multiple ribs. When I buy dog food the bags are 52 - 54 lbs and they are large and awkward to handle. One day I called the store and asked if they could possibly put the pedigree dog and a 16lb bag of cat food on a rolling cart and have it up front with someone who could load it out for me when I got there. I was only around the corner when I called. Sure enough the cart and the items I requested were waiting for me and the young man was waiting to load it into my car. Cool Stuff!! Thanks guys and ladies!! 7/8/21 : Ok, I admit it. I think I'm pretty smart, sometimes. Well today I found out that I don't know everything. I was thinking about propane tank refill and exchanges. My brain was thinking lbs not gals. so I'm thinking that the price is $3 something a lbs and was like, "How is that saving me money?" I called TSC and the young lady answered the phone and I asked her why it was better to get my tank filled at the store when it would cost me almost $50 for a tank refill!!!!!! Then I got it. She explained that a standard grill tank only hold a little over 4lbs of propane and that I would be charged for 4 gallons of propane, not 15lbs for $3 something a lb. She didn't even make me feel bad, for having no idea what I was talking about. MR. Daniel says, "Thanks Miranda!!!" That is true customer service and I was one the phone! Not in person at the store, so she had no idea what nationality I was, what I looked like, nor was she concerned that I was almost clueless. She took me to school and made feel like I graduated. I would give it a zero if I could. This is one of the most RACIST stores that I have ever been in. I am an African American male and I went in this store today to shop for a barrel fan. I noticed that a tall slender caucasian male wearing reading glasses was at the cash register. He was looking at me from the time that walk to the door. As I got in the store there was a caucasian male standing near where I entered the store and he asked the guy if he needed some help as I was walking past him. I stood over near the fans at the front of the store for approximately 10 minutes looking at fans. He greeted every caucasian person that walked in that store after me and never asked me if I needed any assistance or anything else. I have emailed this company in the past about the lack of diversity in their stores and the way the employees treat African American shoppers. read more
