The watsonville store is a dumpster fire of a TCS location. Came into the store for a very specific sale ($9.99 flannels). The register was not ringing them up for the sales price and the cashier tells me "you picked the wrong ones". I did not - I even had another associate show me the ones that are specifically on sale to avoid this situation. 2 more associates come over to show the cashier the signs from the rack and she flat-out refuses to honor the price because "the computer says this is the price". I left the shirts there and only purchased my dog toys because I'm not going to pay more than the advertised price because a human refuses to figure out how to override a machine. Watch your receipts closely - I have a feeling a lot of customers got screwed on that "deal". read more

Curbside pick up is not really curbside. They have a phone number to call in which we did. They told us to go in. My husband went it which defeats the whole purpose of contactless pick up. Went to customer service on which they said the order was ready. They initially wanted my husband to bring the order to the car since he was in there already. This is in the peak of Covid. Why promote contactless curbside when you cannot deliver? Maybe this was this their first order but here's to hoping they get better. read more

I went here because I love the one in San Diego. There, the prices are fair or lower than a place like Home Depot. I didn't find this to be the case here. I did much less shopping than I thought I would. I bought a couple of dog dishes that were a real waste of money. With hardly any wear, they ended bent up like a soda can. My dogs are not rough with things so unless they had a change of personality and repeatedly threw the dishes against the wall while I left them alone one day, I don't know how they ended up with several bends in the dishes. People are nice here though. I'd probably go back if I couldn't get something somewhere else but I won't make a special trip like I did last time. One positive thing I did notice is that they have a couple of chicken coops that seem to be a good deal. read more

At 5:30 on a Friday night, the manager and small group of employees like to congregate in the check out isles and visit while customers attempt to pay for their items. My 8 month pregnant wife, daughter and I, had to squeeze through while 3 other employees and a manager pretended not to see us while casually talking about restaurants. I knew she was a manager because she was instructing others to take their 30 min lunch, practically in my ear. Very frustrating checking out of a store with a small family, hands full of items, and to have someone in your personal bubble. I loved this place because it's closed to home and service on good days is good. I go here to give my dog a bath and usually my experience is good. Yet today it was so dirty and the towel rack was so full and they didn't have clean towels. I wasn't told until I actually was heading to the bath area. I bought 5 baby chicks on 4/11/2023 , which is sex linked pullets from here. We drove all the way from SJ as Gilroy stores did not carried any at that time. Fast forward to today and realize that 3 of those 4 are cockerels. I understand the probability but 75% inaccuracy, that is just unacceptable. So I would strongly encourage those who just want hens and not not cockerels, do not come here to buy. I do not recommend this business at all due to their extremely poor customer service. If you need something from a place like this, JUST BUY ONLINE!!!. I found myself in urgent need of a pocket knife to give to one of my co-workers as appreciation for a big favor he did for me a couple of days ago. I buy and sell on Amazon and ebay all the time but I felt like I should also support the local economy now and then. Sure enough, I found a knife I liked inside their locked display case so I asked the cashier if she could open it for me. I was willing to pay the extra $20 compared to online price for the same knife...Her response was "I'll have someone come and help you right away". I waited five minutes, nobody came... a worker walked by and I asked him for help. He says "I'll be right back with you". I stood there next to the knife case for at least eight or seven more minutes, waiting... I go back to the cashier and ask her AGAIN: Is someone coming to help me or not? She looked dumbfounded, like what do you need sir? I tell her...I NEED HELP, I NEED TO BUY A POCKET KNIFE! She had been chitchatting all this time with another customer who had already paid!!! Another customer came to pay but instead of helping ME who had been waiting patiently for almost fifteen minutes she went ahead and helped the other guy!!! This was the worst service ever! I had to wait 30 minutes for a curbside pickup. I ended up yelling at the side yard to get some help. No one cared. I called inside 5 different times and was out on hold, once lost a connection. I will never go back. Negative stars would be more appropriate. Unfortunately I had to go here since they do open before Aromas feed. The girl at the register was Completely ignorant, rude and snotty. She acted like Paris Hilton. Like is this an episode of The Simple Life? Not only have they been out of Senior Equine for days, it took forever for someone to tell me that. Eventually I did learn that there was one damaged bag left of a senior alternative. It was 25% off which I was happy about bc I'm a bargain hunter. I don't know what the employees are so busy doing in the back, but I was able to flag a kid down to lift the bag into the cart for me. After Paris Hilton rang me up, she did tell me to have a good day. I ignored her bc I was pissed off which was kinda my bad. When I got home I realized that not only was the packagimg of my bag damaged, but it was only 2/3 full, if that. I feel like I just got mugged. I was amazed at the level of care from each employee I encountered during my visit a few days ago. Employees seem to enjoy working there and I was greeted multiple times and asked if I needed any help, will definitely come back to Tractor Supply. Shelves are well stocked and they have just about anything you need for your rural property, including animal feed of every variety. Worth the drive if you don't live in Watsonville. 1.877.718.6750 - customer solutions center in tennessee, their corporate office. you will need this number if you try to exchange anything here. you have to keep your receipt (who keeps all their receipts?), it has to be within 30 days (excuse me, i was busy being evacuated 4 times for flood danger) and you have to tolerate being shouted at. i have a bag of birdseed that exploded with moths when i opened it. i called to check if they had another bag in stock so i could exchange it. after being on hold for over 10 minutes while listening to the employees talk about lunch and gossiping, i called back. ken, who claimed to be the assistant manager, was rude to me, demanded that i have a receipt or have their store card so he can make sure i bought the item within the 30 days. he talked over me, interrupted and generally acted like i was trying to take money from his own pocket. no interest in customer service. it's a bag of birdseed! and i wasn't asking for a refund, i just wanted to exchange it. i asked ken if tractor supply stands by its products and he launched into another round of where is my "receipt within the 30 days"? he was a broken record. so i called the corporate office, spoke with trisha who was courteous and professional. she is sending me a gift card to replace the spoiled birdseed and is emailing the manager at this store about this incident. to be fair, if i'd been able to get a hold of mallory whom i was told was the manager today, she might have had the critical thinking skills to resolve this. but she wasn't in when i called back (again!) and i did not want to play telephone tag after the hassle of my earlier phone experience, so i called corporate. **the one star review is for the watsonville store. the corporate customer solutions center in tennessee, they get 100 stars** read more

I was so happy when TSC moved to town for all my animal and farm supply needs. However, they habitually are out of stock of my canned dog food and horse cubes. So today, I went to talk to Chris the "manager" about it and he acted irritated about me asking him about it. He took no responsibility and wanted to argue and make excuses for why they are "wiped out" of feed. He blamed one of his employees and walked away. We called to confirm they had the two items in stock before we drove 2 hours to get there. They said they were in stock and in fact had 3 of one of the items. WRONG! Neither were in stock. They called their Gilroy store to confirm that they had the items, which they did say were in stock, and suggested we go there. We drove another 30 minutes there to find both were not in stock AGAIN. Do they lie? Do they have no knowledge of their inventory? Are they too lazy to check? We were prepared to spend about $2000 on our combined purchases. Just moved to the area and now need farm/ranch supplies so have been wanting to stop by here. First, super friendly staff all throughout our visit. Very helpful staff when you did need help. Walked you to the product. Thoroughly knowledgeable about products. Second, For a rather small store they have a large supply of items. We left with info on ordering a chicken coop online (it's big and the display is outside) a composting book. Chicken food, a couple of tarps and a couple of dog chew bones. Still scratching my head on this one. Amazingly bad service, for no apparent reason. One of our mechanics got some overalls from this company. We liked em, and I called about ordering some more for the rest of the team. Astonishingly, nothing from Tractor Supply Co. No help, no reason, just outright stubborn refusal to do business. I've never been told NO more times from a business for no reason. They claim the order size (15-20 pieces) is too large. We offered to pre-pay the order. We offered to have someone drive there to pick them up. We offered to pay cash or check. For some odd reason, the people who work here think they aren't in the helping customer business. For no reason at all, they refused to place an order with the manufacturer on our behalf. Absolutely refuse to return calls, or allow us to talk with anyone in management. Inexplicably bad service. I'd encourage everyone to find a supplier that wants to be in business and help people. read more

well , i love this store, to a certain point. they are great for all pet stuff. and they have installed a self dog washing station ,recently. and have not got it , up and running yet , i dont know why they put it in, if its just going to waste space. i have peeked , in the window , of the room, where its located , in the store and its got, everything , you need , to do a fantastic job , on your dog , top of the line, tubs. your dog walks into . hoses and shampoo hook up , to regulate the product of soap. i know these items are not cheap, to have been install. and now nothing gets used . i understand , and was told, it would open soon, atleast a dozen times on the phone. so open it. also was told delay for reasons of covid 19. ok thats a poor excuse , when your using soap and water washing the dog. i did want to give 4 starts but this has been going on for to many weeks . its throwing money down the drain , when you have all the expensive equipment. to just sit there, , i hope this review makes it to managment for doing a better job for the customer. get an employee to there job. i was told on monday the holiday this week that in the next 2 weeks it should be open, i said 2 weeks omg. i was told today friday, again 2 weeks . whats the hold up?? please get it done why have. disappointing read more
