I've lost two cats due to doctors in this clinic not knowing anything. First cat was poisoned and they treated him for roundworms. I brought him back and they still charged me $200 to put him to sleep. I gave them another chance, brought my new kitten who was treated for roundworms, they apologized when I came back because they forgot to tell me I needed to bring him in for another treatment after two weeks. After a few months, My cat was super bloated and again, I brought him to doctor Tracy and we went home with medicine for worms. This was on Wednesday and by Friday my cat was doing worse, he couldn't walk so I called the clinic and they told me to go to an emergency vet. They don't know anything about cats!! Horrible place. They don't care. They did absolutely nothing to try to help my chihuahua who just had heart failure. She was doing okay until I took her here!!! They didn't even give me the medication she needed. She was in kidney failure and all Dr. Tracy did was give her nutri-cal charge me money and sent me off. Nothing was explained to me. No tests ran. Nothing. Just told to try nutri cal. He didn't even give me the meds I came for. I took her to another vet two days later. They ran bunch of tests. Tried stabilizing had but now was too late. They tried everything they could to save her. They kept her three days and barely charged me what Dr. Tracy did to do absolutely nothing and let my little baby girl die. read more

Took my pup in for a spay and everything went perfect! She is a super overactive puppy, and I was really worried about it. Dr. Tracy calmed me down and assured me that he has done this on much more hyper dogs than mine and she would be just fine. He is always so patient with me and take the time to explain everything to me. The whole staff is always great - even when I am being crazy dog mom. We are now 2 days after procedure and the incision looks healed with no signs of any problems. The incision was very small (maybe just an inch or so) and was only a little red the first day. After that, it looked great. I have been using Tracy Animal Hospital for all of my dogs (6 over the years) for 15-20 years and I would never take my fur babies anywhere else! This is a family-owned business - I used to see Dr. Rusty Tracy for so many years until he finally retired (well earned) and let his son - Dr. Tanner Tracy take over the business and I love BOTH of them! They treat me and my fur babies like their family - always take my calls when I'm frantic and always calm me down. I have never had any problems. Dr. Tracy Sr has done several surgeries on my different dogs over the years and Dr. Tanner Tracy has now also done several surgeries on my current dogs and every single one was perfect with no problems. They have done CCL repairs (my big boy had to have it on both knees at different times, Spay/Neuters for all my dogs, and one of my pups had a knee that would roll out of socket and they fixed that. Every single one went perfect, and all of my dogs were 100% after. The staff - many of them I have known for years are just as great - Kim - who I have to give a big shout out to is the absolute best - always calls me right back and is so helpful and nice - love her so much! Kelly at the front desk - again - always so nice to me and the sweetest person - I love her, too. Ashley - who always takes such good care of my babies when I take them in for anything and always treats me great - also the best. If I could give them 10 stars - I would! I started going to Tracy Animal Hospital when my dog had a cruciate ligament rupture and no other vet (including her regular vet) would fit her in to be seen. They ended up doing the necessary surgery and she recovered perfectly. I've been seeing them ever since, and have not been disappointed. I took her in this morning for a teeth cleaning during their September discount special and she's home recovering nicely with sparkling teeth, and my bill for the cleaning was about 1/4 of the amount that the vets in my area charge. I drive 40 minutes to see Tracy Animal Hospital because, most importantly, they are that good, and as a bonus are reasonably priced. Dr. Tracy, Kim, Ashley and the rest of the staff are amazing! I had a Pomeranian they were able to diagnose and treat with Addison's disease that needed shots every 3 weeks and she was able to live a normal life span of 13 years. They have cared for our pets for two generations and always given the best care to our fur babies! He has answered calls on evenings and weekends for emergencies! We also had a dog treated for cancer and two with hip surgeries. Anyone that has anything negative to say about Dr. Tracy or Kim must have been having a bad day, because I drove across town to take all our pets here due to the exceptional service and how educated the staff is. It's heartbreaking to lose a pet, but this veterinarian understands and will do everything possible to make sure they have a healthy long life. If you Love your pet DON'T use this VET Very disappointed in this Vet as we took our 8 year old Yorkie in for an extended stomach issue and they wouldn't do anything. They told me to go to Blue Pearl Emergency Hospital and $ 3,700 later they told me she had Pancreatitis and to take her back to Tracy and put her to sleep. I when back to Tracy and ask if they would give me some pain med's so we could spend sometime with her before we put her down and they said absolutely NOT. We then went to another veterinarian who gave us some pain med's . This all occurred on 4/10/2022 and my little Yorkie is doing Fantastic today ( 5-23-2022) . Took her to my new Vet and they gave her a blood test and he said it was a Miracle and was showing no signs of pancreatitis!! We now have a New veterinarian who cares about our Yorkie's read more

I wish I had the opportunity to give 0 stars !!! I don't even have the words to describe this place, one thing I can say is that they're very rude. My puppy been attending this vet since I've gotten her she is now 1 years old, and I know nothing absolutely about her care ( even when I ask several questions while In the vet ) apparently a doctor is only there twice a week . Which is ridiculous because they have vet techs and RUDE staff running this dump, if you love your fur baby don't go here please there's other clinics that will love and care for your animal and allow you to ask 1 million questions if you want with a response to your questions. My suggestion is to drive pass this dump and go to Cy-fair animal hospital, where better affordable care is provided:). read more

Once again, thank you Tracy Animal Hospital! We have been taking our pets here for more than 20 years. We now live almost an hour away but continue to go to Tracy AH. This includes our most recent visit, 8-3-2020, with one of our 3-1/2 month old Jack Russell pups. Zoey had broken her leg Saturday night, we took her to the emergency vet in Conroe and they splinted her leg and recommended we see our vet ASAP. Monday morning they were expecting us and ready for Zoey because of Dr. Tanner Tracy's compassion and knowledge. Surgery that afternoon and she's better than new! My review is based solely on some of the staff of this place. It's important to note that the doctor is excellent. It's tough finding a veterinarian you like, and Dr Tracy is awesome. That said, he's also responsible for the staff and their office manager sucks. I have the communication back and forth with this tyrant saved and she all but admitted that I'm not spending enough money there for them to really care. This can't be made up. That girl Kim is a horrible human being, she lied to the vet so they would terminate the relationship with my pets. My elderly dog is dying, and she lied to Dr. Tracey so be would not take appointments for my dying dog. She told him I cursed, which is a flat out lie. I have become upset and her rude and insensitive behavior. She had him completely snowed and is probably laughing right now that my dying dog needs an appointment, and Dr. Tracey believes her over me. Shame on you !! God will rein down on you with you lies and now I have no vet for my dog who we have loved Dr. Tracey for years. I have been with Tracy Animal Hospital for 20 years now and I have been very pleased with both Dr. Rusty Tracy and Dr.Tanner Tracy. The techs & staff are nice and quick to help with questions. We took our Dobermans there as puppies and Dr. Tracy did fabulous work on their crops & docks - they were perfect! He has performed spays & neuters on all of our cats & dogs throughout the years and we have watched Dr. Tanner do an amazing job at caring for our babies in the most recent years. Both Dr.'s explain - in great detail - what will go on with treatments, medication, diet, surgeries, etc... and they answer all our questions, no matter how silly or complex. Every procedure requested was performed as expected and without incident. Tracy Animal Hospital has seen us thru many challenges from kidney failure to cancer as well as from old age to emergencies. They show respect for privacy and express compassion during times of loss. The staff up front may have rotated throughout the years, but they have been very kind and understanding, especially Kim. Currently, I have three dogs ages 15, 7 & 5; and an 18-yr old DSH cat. My cat recently stopped eating and started losing weight & his hair. Dr. Tanner tested for Thyroid and prescribed meds. The pills were a no-go and he kept on until he found a viable solution that would work for my cat. Thanks to Dr. Tanner, he has gained weight and is back to being himself again. Our 5-yr old Rotterman suddenly got really sick a few months ago - vomiting, lethargy and fast weight gain. We took her in to get checked and after some tests, the Dr. gave us several possibilities that would require more testing. We proceeded with further testing and that led to surgery, recovery, and healing. Now, our pup is happy and playing again. I am very thankful to have such knowledgeable Vets caring for my babies. I have used Dr. Rusty Tracy for many years and now that I have moved to Blanco, Tx. I still drive back to see Dr. Tracy with my Wheatens. I also do rescue and Dr. Tracy has seen many of these Wheatens and saved several of them, when they were very sick. Once when I had two very sick puppies that I had gotten from a puppy mill and had gone to two different vet clinics in the Hill Country where the vets could not diagnose the problem--I called Dr. Tracy on his cell--told him what was going on with the puppies and what test had been done. Dr. Tracy properly diagnosed the problem over the phone!! The Dam of these puppies had gotten into rat poison (probably the reason the mill gave them to me) and these puppies were "bleeding out". Dr. Tracy took another of these puppies into his clinic for three weeks, and was able to save her life. He also saved a litter of five puppies that I got into rescue that had distemper. He is also a very compassionate person and does not charge rescue an arm and a leg as I have seen other vet clinics do in other parts of the country, Our rescue organization is US and Canada wide and I wish we had a vet like Dr. Rusty Tracy in these other states!! One of my dogs is getting up there in age and has had trouble walking at times, they diagnosed him for joint issues related to aging for his breed and starting him on a supplement plan. I have been a client for years now, since my dogs were puppies when I first brought them home. We have had numerous problems come up with my girls (i.e., ear infections, structural issues, hip dysplasia, etc.) over their lives (they are 5 years old now) and every step of the way all of the staff here have been wonderful. When one dog started to walk strangely they did x-rays and diagnosed hip dysplasia, and told me the cruciate ligament was probably coming (which it did, just weeks later). But no worries! They gave me a realistic prognosis, repaired the ligament (it works even better than before it tore now) and have always been available for my questions and prescriptions. I have never had a bad experience here and I always make sure to suggest them to others looking for an honest, reliable, knowledgeable veterinarian. Thank you so much, Drs. We brought our dog here because she was very sick, and we have used them for years. They said they performed x-rays, and couldn't find anything, so they performed "exploratory" surgery. After the surgery they said they didn't find anything except she had pneumonia. It seems if x-rays were done they would have noticed that before the surgery. They diagnosed her incorrectly with laryngeal paralysis and we took her to another vet. They immediately diagnosed her correctly and got her back to health. When we called TAH back to let them know, they disagreed with the vet who got her healthy again, and rudely dismissed the fact that they performed surgery on our dog while she had pneumonia. Two vets have now told us that they should not have performed the surgery. We will not be bringing our pets here again. I should have read their online reviews earlier as they are apparently getting a lot worse. read more

I called late afternoon because something was wrong with my dog's jaw. She was screaming in pain. I moved to this side of town but my vet is in Katy and closes early on Wednesdays so of course that is when I have an urgent situation arise. I was thrilled that they said I could bring her in and drop her off, that was very helpful! I rushed over and dropped her off. The receptionist was pleasant and then I had to deal with Kim, the technician. She was very rude and put out to deal with me and very condescending when I asked questions or said anything. She cut me off while trying to describe what was going on with my dog and told me they would call me when they had a chance to look at her. I live 10 minutes away and they called me shortly after I got home and told me that there was nothing wrong with my dog other than needing a dental cleaning. I drove back to the clinic to pick up my dog confused that they couldn't find anything. I found blood in her mouth, on her coat, and she literally yelped in agony when I would touch her jaw. When I arrived and paid for an exam, I expected to see the vet and discuss my dog. Instead, the ride technician came up to berate me about how bad my dog's teeth were and tell me that she had bit her lip or tongue and that is where the blood came from and that there was "absolutely nothing wrong with my dog except her terrible teeth." I finally explained that I have worked with animals for over 15 years as a vet tech in vet clinics and emergency clinics and was very aware that my dog's teeth were in horrible shape, however, my vet has tried putting under anesthesia twice and she goes into AF (atrial fibrillation) and codes (almost dying each time) when put under anesthesia. I have had blood work, EKG's, ultrasounds,etc and we have finally resolved to do antibiotics when needed and know that her teeth will cause heart, liver, and or kidney issues and eventually lead to her demise. The technician rolled her eyes several times at me and then told me I was wrong that they use a "safer, new anesthesia so that was impossible." Tired of being insulted and knowing there was still something wrong with my dog, I left. I took my dog to my regular vet first thing Thursday morning and my vet did xrays and found a severe slab fracture (in a molar) that had caused a hairline fracture in her jaw and was causing serious pain. I am so sorry that I wasted my time going to this vet clinic. I went on the recommendation of a friend and should have read the reviews so I could have made a better decision. They are extremely unprofessional and the vet clearly has issues if he can't even talk to his clients. I will continue to discourage everyone I know from going to this clinic. read more

If you care about your pets at all--avoid this place. Dr. Tracy lacks professionalism, compassion, & empathy. Regretfully, I did not meet him face to face, nor did he speak with me until after my 2 pets were spayed. That should've been the first red flag. After researching the latest techniques prior my appointment, I decided I wanted to have my pets spayed via Laser Surgery. While filling out the paperwork, I stated very clearly that wanted my two dogs to be spayed using the Laser Surgery Technique, & selected Laser on the Surgery Consent Form. The laser replaces the scalpel & uses a beam of light, which in turn minimizes bleeding, opportunity for bacteria and results in a much speedier recovery. I filled out all documents reinstating the details of what I wanted performed, with the option box reading: LASER SURGERY checked. Since the clinic requires an overnight stay, I picked them up the following day. I paid & walked to my car and proceeded to drive off. When the babies had settled down, I looked at their tummies and noticed a very large incision with several stitches across their tummies. It was then when I came to realization on my own that Dr. Tracy did not perform the surgery with Laser, but with a scalpel instead. When I walked back into the office, the girls got very flustered when I asked which technique was performed. I asked to view my documents and noticed that the receptionist, I originally met with the day I dropped them off, had scratched out my selection of the Laser Technique. She literally altered my original document, FALSIFYING my request to use Laser Surgery. This resulted in Dr. Tracy performing the surgery using a scalpel. I could not believe the vet, along with the staff, did not feel the need to inform me of this the second I walked into the office! Instead, I pay up, leave oblivious and have to discover their mistakes myself! That is the ultimate example of an unethical business practice-not to mention FRAUD! I immediately asked for copies of my records, and the receptionist had to ask for permission before doing so!! She then explained to me that the receptionist, that had FORGED my document, had been fired the day before. As if that were to give me some sort of relief or benefit to my situation at hand! They then lead me to a room and explained that a vet tech would like to discuss the situation with me. Extremely confused, (considering I had already walked out, paid my bill & was not informed as a customer until I had to find out the staff's mistake ON MY OWN) I attempted to give the clinic benefit of the doubt & heard the tech out. She explained that they had been having several problems with the girl that had tampered with my original docs, & had let her go because of this situation. My first thought was, if they've had so many problems with this particular employee--wouldn't Dr. Tracy along with the staff approve/verify ANY documents she oversees, especially when it involves surgery?! Instead of being honest and informing me of the mistakes made on my babies procedure, the clinic was going to let me leave as customer without INFORMING ANY OF THIS TO ME! Dr. Tracy did not come to speak with me directly ONCE during this. After I left, my husband immediately called and spoke with Tracy, and asked that he please call me. When he did, I was barely able to get a word in--all he did was speak over me, was VERY unapologetic and VERY defensive about the whole situation. He then went on and explained how he didn't even enjoy practicing due to all the problems within staff. I was shocked. He had no compassion or remorse for his mistake and poor management skills--instead re-directed all the mistakes at his staff. Bc the stitches need to be physically removed when you use the scalpel, I had to make another appointment in 2 weeks. My husband had to accommodate his busy schedule in order to come with me. Again, this was my first time physically meeting with Dr. Tracy. After the stitches were removed, we confronted him very calmly about the problem. His exact words, & spoken very defensively were '"What problem?" He proceeded by making a comment about how he saved us money, because the Laser is an additional $85! He became very defensive & then ASKED US TO LEAVE when my husband stated as a customer, that we were not given what we had asked for (Laser), & that our docs were forged. He then yelled at his assistant, Kim, to "DESTROY OUR RECORDS, WE'LL NEVER SEE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!!" I could not BELIEVE how unprofessional & child-like Dr. Tracy was being-- It was like a scene from a movie. Bottom line-- this man does not need to be caring for caring for animals. Please listen to the other neg reviews & save yourself the potential heartache from a bad experience here. I understand that no business is perfect, but Tracy Animal Hospital does not deserve to be in business. We left feeling taken advantage of, disrespected and victimized by extreme acts of unethical behavior. read more
