This is not in reference to the veterinarian. This is specifically in regards to the individual who "scheduled" the appointment I had made over the phone for a stray dog suffering from active diarrhea and fleas, having confirmed the details of my appt over the phone the previous Saturday I had called. However, upon arriving at the veterinary clinic today, they informed me that the veterinarian had already left for the day and there was no such appointment that was recorded. This caused significant frustration, especially considering the effort involved in transporting the stray dog to the clinic. I was advised to see another vet clinic nearby. I emphasized that I had explicitly requested a Monday appointment so the stray dog can be checked out asap and not the Thursday after the new year since I will be working, which was acknowledged and corrected by the front desk individual during the initial phone call. In addition, the individual asked for my last name and informed me that I've been seen there many times before (not true). So to show up yesterday and inform me I don't have an appointment and asked if I am a new client wouldn't have made any difference if I were or not. I was extremely upset and had to call more than 5 vet clinics nearby to see who can even accommodate us in a last minute pinch towards the end of the day because this vet clinic didn't do a simple task. The situation highlights issues with the clinic's front staff in managing appointment scheduling accurately and I will never return. read more

Visit was excellent!! Employees were helpful and warm. Unfortunately due to covid I did not get to meet Dr. Jones but I did get to speak with him. I can tell just by how well it went his heart is in his work. Our pets know when someone is compassionate. He was surprised as I was that it went so easy. For she would not even let me cut any of them. I thought he would have to sedate her. But she let him cut that broken claw to the quick and glue it. She is a real smart little dog. I was really nervous about neutering my puppy, and avoided it for longer than I should have but then I finally found a vet that doesn't charge ridiculous prices and really seemed to care about my pup rather than just my money. I'm glad I trusted them with neutering my baby, they were patient with all the phone calls I made while he was recovering, and they're always really kind and helpful. My dogs had diarrhea for a week and I couldn't figure out what from. Took them to the vet hoping it wasn't something viral or more serious.. I usually take them to Prestonwood, which can get pricey really quick and I didn't have a lot of money so I took them here. They were in and out within a few hours. Everything was less then $100 including the medication. Results came back good and they had ended up eating the cat food but I am very grateful to have taken them here, it saved me a lot of money. Staff was friendly and using Covid restrictions, so you are not allowed in the building. That made me a little unnerving seeing as how ill both of my dogs were and how they freak out when going to the vet/separated from me. My vet lets me be there with them almost the entire time, unless they need to go to the back for something and then they bring them right back in. I noticed both of my dogs were nervous and scared after coming back, but that may also be because it was a new vet, I wasn't there, and they had to get a stick shoved up there but for testing. They had me at prophylactic antibiotics. Having worked for a vet in the past, I can be a little picky about the type of veterinarian I choose for my pets. That, compounded with my over-the-top paranoia about keeping my pets healthy makes a good vet one of the most important contacts in my phone. These folks pass with flying colors. I ended up here after a bad experience with Riverside Veterinary Clinic. I approached someone with two great looking dogs at the park for a veterinary referral (who ended up being a tech with the clinic). I called to make an appointment the next day for my two cats to have dental cleanings, which they were overdue for by at least a year. They asked that I bring the cats in to be weighed so they could begin administering the proper dose of prophylactic antibiotics. I came in right away and as soon as I got there they rushed the first cat straight into an exam room - no lobby paperwork first - and by the time I returned from the car with the second cat, a vet was in the room conducting thorough exams on both of them in addition to just collecting a body weight. The vet ended up recommending against dental cleanings after their exams, saying I could just scrape off the small amount of tartar and avoid the risks of putting them under. She also recommended against any additional vaccines at that time, which could have been a huge money maker for the clinic. My bill for the two exams? No charge!!! What??! On my way out I happily filled out the new patient paperwork. I will be back with both cats for their annual checkups this summer and I am also looking forward to bringing my two new dogs for their multitude of senior care needs once they arrive next month. This clinic stands for everything I look for in a vet ...highly knowledgeable with a great understanding of veterinary issues (I asked a ton of questions during the exams), conservative with unnecessary interventions but willing to throw the hail mary for your pet should you decide to, practical and sensitive.
