In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work. And David's technical team is cordial, considerate, clean and professional throughout. To summarize, Texas Best Flooring Company is a turnkey operation that provides exceptional services from cradle to completion. Dishonest Business Practices & Poor Customer Service - Avoid This Company…read more I initially reached out to MyGarageFloors.com for a price estimate, but after seeing that they were significantly more expensive than a competitor, GarageExperts, I simply told them that I would be going with my original vendor instead. At no point did I request a price match. However, MyGarageFloors.com proactively offered one in writing, stating they would match hundreds of dollars in discounts to price match GarageExperts and even offered an additional $50 off on top of that. At no time during this conversation did they mention any stipulations, exclusions, or conditions regarding the competitor's materials. Once I provided proof of GarageExperts' detailed process and pricing, they suddenly backtracked on their offer, claiming that the competitor's quote didn't meet their criteria--even though their original price match offer never had any conditions attached. Instead of honoring what they had written, Berry increased the price by hundreds of dollars, completely contradicting their original offer. The situation got even worse. After work hours on a weekday, the company founder personally called me. I assumed they were reaching out to apologize for their employee's misleading statements, but instead, the call was an attempt to justify their deception and blame me for not checking their website's price match policy. This was ridiculous for two reasons: 1. I never requested a price match in the first place--they offered it to me voluntarily in writing, without any stipulations. 2. If their price-match policy had fine print, it was their responsibility to disclose it before making the offer--not after I agreed and provided the quote they requested. At this point, it was clear that they were trying to gaslight me into thinking I was in the wrong when, in reality, their own employee misled me. Key Reasons to AVOID MyGarageFloors.com: 1. They do NOT honor their own price-match guarantees - They proactively offered a discount without me asking, then refused to honor it when they saw the competitor had truly outbid them. 2. They engage in bait-and-switch tactics - They first offered a price match, then increased the price by hundreds of dollars when they realized they couldn't compete. 3. Their employees are misleading and dismissive - Berry claimed there were conditions only after I provided the competitor's quote, even though his original message contained none. 4. The company founder called me after work hours just to tell me I was in the wrong - Instead of apologizing for misleading pricing, they doubled down and tried to blame me for not researching a policy I never knew existed. 5. They waste your time with deceptive sales tactics - After multiple conversations and false promises, they went back on their word, wasting my time and energy. This was never about a price match on my end--it was about a company making an offer and then refusing to stand by their word when they realized they couldn't compete. For reference, GarageExperts completed my garage floor with epoxy and polyaspartic over two years ago, and it still looks fantastic.
